BBC pro-Islamic propaganda, continued from East London mosque propaganda of BBC’s ‘Any pro-Islamic Questions’.

Another example of how the BBC uses propaganda BAGPIPES as:

    pro-Hamas, pro-Islam, anti-Israel, pro-Scotland, and anti-England –

“Across the West Bank on public holidays, thousands of Palestinian scouts march through the streets twirling batons, banging drums and playing bagpipes.
“The scouts and marching bands are a legacy of the British mandate from 1920 to 1948, but it is the Scottish cultural connection that now resonates with some Palestinians, who see historical parallels with their own struggle against Israeli occupation. “

Correct me if I’m mistaken but England and Scotland have shared a monarch since 1603 and a parliament from 1707 to 1999. What parallels would they have absorbed considering the British mandate (incidentally a mandate to bridng about a Jewish State) only lasted until 1948 before the overwhelming majority of Palestinians were born?

George R is correct. The BBC never miss a chance to push the Palestinian narrative.

I think all BBC journalists should be required to read The Looming Tower by Lawrence Wright.  One of the best books of the past few years,  tracking the build-up of Al Qaeda and its roots in the Muslim Brotherhood.  Showing anti-Western hatred right through the Islamic world,  decade after decade.

Most mosques in the UK are led by Wahhabi imams,  preaching medieval stuff, ignorant of Britain’s history except as creators of Israel,  often not even speaking English.  The mosque near me is full of people in strange garb (male as well as female) – no effort whatsoever to adapt to the UK.  Children required to spend hours and hours there each week,  no wonder they are cowed by their “religion”.  And anyone walking past is met with hostile glances.

And we are the ones with a phobia ?

A simple description of two world views is often missing from any debate about isalm and the west.

Western society went through a religious reformation which transformed the west from a backward ignorant and ugly society into a world changing force for good.
The islamic world has not yet begun a transformation from religious theocracy to secular modernism and untill it does it cannot by definition be allowed to dictate its thoroughly foreign theocratic will in the home of the secular democracies.
We in the west have built a home over the centuries and shed our barbaric and backward looking religious ideology, the islamic world is still mired in the theocratic religious world view of intolerance and hatred. The obvious lack of democratic values in the islamic world is why islam simply must not be allowed to import its pre reformation ideology into a post reformation society, it is a recipe for disaster and strife.
Untill islam transorms itself from its backward looking world view it cannot by definition be allowed to infiltrate its values and prejucdice into our wesern secular deomocracies.

    “Is Islam misunderstood?”

    Did ayatollah Khomeini misunderstand Islam?

Do all the imams and mullah misunderstand Islam?

Does the Pope misunderstand the Catholic faith?

The only reason this question is being asked is that the MSM cannot figure out how to represent a “religion” that does not follow the behaviour of a ‘normal’ religion. How is it that this Islam calls for the killing of the Kuffar and the Jew, and gets 72 virgins in the bargain, with each orgasm lasting 10,000 years. The MSM is confounded and confused.

Muslims do not misunderstand Islam. Anjem Chaudary does not misunderstand Islam. The only ‘misunderstanders’ are the MSM who have to contort their minds to make Islam fit with their idea of what a religion should be. Its a problem, and ‘misunderstanding’ is going to happen.

  15. John Horne Tooke says:

This illustrates how the BBC works – Geert Wilders is getting very popular in the Netherlands and has been in the news recently because of his visit to Britain. The BBC need to counteract his “popularism”, therefore they ask the question “Is Islam misunderstood” – the premise here is that the answer is “Yes”.

The real question should be “Is Islam compatable with a free society?”,  Or maybe “Why do muslims not integrate into our society?”

“Far from being moribund, Islam is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science -the science against which it had vainly struggled -the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome.”
    Churchill 1899

So after 111 years the BBC still think Islam is misunderstood!!

It seems that one of the problems is that the Muslims are being called “settlers”. Can the BBC think up something else that smells as sweet? This strikes me as rather a simplistic explanation but I guess for the BBC it has to be a much better explanation than “Violent” or “Intolerant” Islam. Women and children with machetes….when will the world wake up? Why is it that the BBC despite the evidence appear to be actually pointing the finger of blame at the Christians?

“The situation is exacerbated by Nigeria’s system of classifying its citizens as “indigenes” and “settlers”. The Hausa-speaking Muslims are classified as “settlers” even if they have lived there for generations and have no knowledge of their “home” region.

“Settlers” are banned from taking some positions in state government and the state does not pay for their education, meaning these groups feel discriminated against.

While some people may feel the only way they can change the situation is to use violence, the Christian groups in power may stop at nothing to to retain the advantages they enjoy.

Why can’t the two groups get on peacefully?

Thanks for the link. It is an important article.

What will happen if a civil war starts up again in Nigeria?

Muslims countries will naturally support the Muslims- financially, weapons wise, as well as with Jihadis.

What will we do? Will we do what we did previously in Biaffra or just wring our hands and plead for restraint?

If we support the Christians, then that will be the start of a religious world war – Christians vs Muslims. Is this the only way to stop the Islamisation of the world?

I do not see how we can reverse the Islamisation  of the West, while maintaining liberal democracy and tolerance. Even Geert Wilders’ PVV is merely a holding operation till he is defeated in some future election – the demographic Jihad though continues.

  24. David Preiser (USA) says:

Emily Maitlis misunderstands Islam, and pretended that the Englightenment hasn’t happened and tried to tell a lie on Newsnight.  Geert Wilders corrected her, and she didn’t like it.

Wilders did a decent job of defending himself for the most part, although once he talks about banning the Koran he’s a lost cause.  Maitlis attempted to savage him but got nowhere as she had so many things wrong.

She attempted to create a moral equivalence between a passage about capital punishment in the Torah and the modern Islamist’s call to jihad and establish Shariah worldwide.  Wilders got it wrong in the way he tried to correct her, unfortunately, but that doesn’t mean she wasn’t presenting a false premise.  Pretty pathetic that the vaunted flagship of the BBC can’t do better than a lame argument from a high school social studies class.  Really sad, but that’s clearly where the Beeboids are on the issue.  This is exactly the kind of intellectual failure I’ve complained about about regarding the BBC and Islamo-fascism.

I saw a BBC report about the anti-fascist protest against Wilders’s appearance at the House of Lords, but couldn’t find anything about his speech.  I can’t imagine why the BBC wouldn’t want you to know what he said, so it must be in there somewhere.  The full transcription of his speech can be found here.

Wilders says some things the BBC won’t like, such as:

I don’t know whether it is true, but in several British newspapers I read that Labour opened the door to mass immigration in a deliberate policy to change the social structures of the UK. Andrew Neather, a former government advisor and speech writer for Tony Blair and Jack Straw, said the aim of Labour’s immigration strategy was, and I quote, to “rub the Right’s nose in diversity and render their arguments out of date”. If this is true, this is symptomatic of the Left.

Ladies and gentlemen, make no mistake: The left is facilitating islamization. Leftists, liberals, are cheering for every new shariah bank being created, for every new shariah mortgage, for every new islamic school, for every new shariah court. Leftists consider Islam as being equal to our own culture. Shariah law or democracy? Islam or freedom? It doesn’t really matter to them. But it does matter to us. The entire leftist elite is guilty of practising cultural relativism. Universities, churches, trade unions, the media, politicians. They are all betraying our hard-won liberties.

The BBC does not report this on ‘BBC HAUSA’ in Nigeria ( BBC’s Islamic broadcasting service) – paid for by British taxpayers:

“500 Christians slain in Muslim Jihad attack in Nigeria: most of victims are Women and Children”

    http://www.persecution.org/suffering/ICCnews/newsdetail.php?newscode=11889&title=500-christians-slain-in-muslim-jihad-attack-in-nigeria

Where is the solidarity in the West with these Christians persecuted by Muslims? Where are the pronouncements by Gordon Brown?

Meanwhile the BBC, with its ‘BBC Hausa’ broadcasting for Islam, continues to use the word ‘ethnic’ and not the correct words: ‘JIHAD MASSACRE’, and concentrates on supporting its Islamic Gazan chums.

  27. Wally Greeninker says:

The BBC Nigeria correspondent goes further than simply calling it ethnic violence. She sees the Christians as being the ones who are to blame for their being periodically massacred! On both the World Service and radio 4 I’ve heard her explain how migrants from the Northern, Muslim states of Nigeria are discriminated against, by the Christian ‘indigenes’ – denied public service jobs, scholarships etc – leading to dissatisfaction and unrest among the Muslim monorities.
She sees the solution as one of power-sharing, as is being tried in one or two states. This is obviously the solution – look at how power sharing between Christian and Muslims worked out in Lebanon in the long run. Both sides of the religious divide have assured her that it is not really a religious problem. I suppose its possible that the Christian chatterati in the south have been suckered into believing this or that they do not want to exacerbate the problem by annoying adherents of the religion of peace. My money is on her avoiding anybody who might express opinions contradicting her narrative. After all, the BBC does it so well in the UK.

    Another winning BBC headline:

    Irish ‘plot to kill cartoonist’

I know they say it’s about the ‘Prophet Muhammad’* in the lede, but come on.  Irish?  Is that really the best journalistic practice?  Cue defenders of the indefensible saying that it’s accurate because the plotters were in Ireland at the time.

You just know there was a BBC News Online editor thinking, “Damn, how can we tone down the undesirable angle?”  They know what’s up, but choose to manipulate the public instead.

If I lived moved to Ireland for a few months, then got busted for plotting to blow up a mosque, does anyone think the BBC would make the headline “Irish plot to blow up mosque”?  No, it would be “Jewish bomb plotter” or some such.

*It’s always the ‘Prophet Muhammad’, but never the Lord Jesus Christ, right, BBC?  Why not ‘the Muslim Prophet Muhammad’?  How would that be offensive to Muslim sensibilities in any way? It’s editorial policy, and a classic example of the intellectual failure at the BBC over Islam.

As much as I hate both the scum sucking BBC and their Muslim friends, this headline might actually be yet another example of the sixth form intellect screw ups that permeate their entire web site.

All Al Beeb have done is rewrite the usual lefty tripe that gets vomitted out of the Associated Press e-mail servers – who are predictably the first to obscure any mention of Muslim in the headline.

      The AP headline reads:

<!– google_ad_section_start(name=article) –> Irish arrest 7 over threat to kill Swedish artist

      The BBC headline reads:
Irish arrests over ‘plot to kill Swedish cartoonist’

The ‘Irish plot to Kill Cartoonist’ arises from truncating the evasive headline above into 6 words or less, so it fits into their ‘News Headline’ column.

However, it’ yet another own goal by the BBC for sheer brazen stupidity and it’s already catching the ironic sights of bloggers across the internet.

BBC’s Mr. Casciani, in his utopian way, willing Islam to be the opposite of what it is!

BBC’s Mr. Casciani would like Islam to a a ‘religion of peace’, which it clearly isn’t. Check this site daily, Mr. Casciani:

    http://thereligionofpeace.com/

As the daily massacres by Islamic jihadists show, and as the historical Islamic texts show, Islam is an ideology which means ‘submission’ – submission to Islam. By Muslims. By infidels. And there are no ‘innocents’ in Islam.

After 1,400 years of Islamic imperialism, the BBC’s Mr. Casciani so wants Islam to change, so he grasps at straws. And in the meantime, the BBC puts gloss on Islamic violence and hostility against Muslims and non-Muslims. And we non-Muslims are propagandised by the BBC to play the dhimmi like itself, and not to resist Islamic opposition to us.
