JOHN BROWNE’S BODY LIES….

Anyone catch Naughtie’s swooning interview with former BP boss John Browne this morning? Browne is that rare beast – a corporatist that the BBC loves. Why do they love him? Because he came out and admitted he was gay. This simpering 6 minute interview was all about Browne’s gayness and how tough it was for him in that macho Oil world. But cheer up, Browne has a new “partner” and all is now well. I wonder if lying heterosexual corporatists will get the same easy ride from the BBC?

Although I rather admire Browne and have some human sympathy for his story, the vile Today programme was this morning in homo-overdrive. Did I really hear some breathless Beeboid hackette descrbe the hugely mediocre KD Lang as “one of the greatest singers ever” or some such rubbish? KD Lang is to singing what the current BBC is to drama – a one-trick, tedious, homo pony.

KD Lang had trouble talking about her music, apparently it is linked to her sexuality. Couldn’t give a monkey’s and the item seemed to be nothing to do with her music but a vehicle to drone on about her sexuality – which is dull I think.
As for cottaging, it used to be frowned upon but the BBC took a very synpathetic attitude to it. Usually Naughtie butts in at every opportunity to try and show the listener how very clever and well read he is on whatever subject he is trying to promote in his interviews.
    Strangely quiet today was Mr.Naughtie.

Clearly the BBC has deemed itself too straight as well.

I still think the complaints about the BBC’s failure on gay issues have merit.  The BBC seems to promote homosexuals for their homosexuality – a bias in and of itself, I grant you.  But they keep failing to bring attention to homosexual issues, such as the widespread homosexualist activity of Pashtuns or the US President’s opposition to gay marriage.
