CATHY COME HOME..

Belgium's PM Van Rompuy and EU Trade Commissioner Ashton
So, after the anointment of Baroness Ashton as the EU’s High Representative on Foreign Affairs and Security last evening, the BBC has swung into the “Hail Cathy” mode this morning. We had independent commentator Neil Kinnock on to say what a swell gal she was and how no one could be more suited to carrying out such a function as the unelected Baroness. The BBC also provided us with a sanitised version of her CV with the pro-Communist CND dimension left unstated – never mind that Dalek in her sitting room.

I had to laugh when on Radio 5 the Welsh windbag was asked why these positions were not elected by the people of Europe.

Kinnock replied that with 500 million people voting wouldn’t work and it would be chaos. Well that’s a good sign NOT picked up by thick beeboids in interview, the EU is now so large letting the people vote would be “chaos”.

Better to let corrupt lying cheating failed politicians make these decisions for us?

America has a population of 300 million and manages to elected 1 person every 4 years and India is a functioning democracy of a billion people, but clearly we Euro ‘saps’ don’t have a clue.

You could see why Kinnock might have a personal beef with democracy. After all, it’s the thing that kept him from subjecting us all to his evil for so long.

How typical of the EU to appoint 2 third-rate nonentities and of the Euro-fanatic BBC to support them.

The fact that the EU is supposed to have a right wing majority in the fake parliament is utterly hilarious when the majority of those unelected commissars have Marxist/communist backgrounds.

From the lizard king Barosso to Kinnock to Ashton to that evil looking toad whose name I cannot remember, they are a gaggle of leftist soviet loving scum, is there just ONE true free market capalist conservative among the whole sorry bunch now?

On the one hand we have a fake powerless ‘parliament’ whose only function is to present a fake facade and on the other hand we have a sectretive commission and council almost entirely made up of ex Marxists and fellow travellers whose hatred of democracy can only be imagined.
People like Merkal, a career commissar through and through born into the dark world of east German dictaorship and brought up with Marxist doctrine as her mothers milk, she was the very essence of a Marxist party droid with full knowledge of the obscenities like the stasi and KGB, she moved into the west and took the cloak of a conservative with no effort and now we know why.

Its worth mentioning that Cameron will have to deal with a nearly complete wall of hostile newlabour placemen when he goes to Brussels, all the people he will have to rely on for advice and information will be political and ideological enemies bent on sabotaging and leaking and misinforming Cameron on every issue.
He will be alone and devoid of friends and influence with every hand turned against him from the lowest newlabour appointee to the highest, they will be a united front working against him, he has been islolated and pinned down before he even steps into the role of regional administrator of the new region of La Manche, can you imagine Kinnock and Cameron swapping inside strategies and intel? What friends does Cameron have on the commission or the council? Who can he turn to when he is ordered to attend future conferences to recieve his sealed orders?

The tragedy is that even if Cameron were not a closet federalist euro toady he will have no friends and no allies and no inside information, I ask what is the point?

One thing that unites left and right is money. The EU gravy train is a great freebie for failed or corrupt politicians thrown out of power by the proles.

No one on the left or right who loves the eU is going ot harm that.

BBC ‘s Nick Robinson butters up unelected Euro Foreign Minister non-entity “who has no expereience of foreign affairs..” and she is “someone who has never run for elected office”…

As Britain loses even more national sovereignty under Labour, BBC’s Robinson attempts, in his totally uncritical account, to make it appear like the opposite!:

“Britain lands key EU foreign policy post.”
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/nickrobinson/2009/11/britain_lands_k.html

    ‘EU Referendum’:

    [Extract]:

“There’s no other way of looking at the result … Dick Van Dyke and the Baroness Completely Ashen. The two posts of European Council president and ‘foreign minister’ have been successfully neutralised by the commission and its allies.

“The appointments are almost a joke – except that they are not. The candidates admirably fulfil the essential (commission determined) qualifications for the job. They are both nonentities, they have personalities as close to those of a discarded cod as it is possible to be, and still be breathing (and in the case of Her Ladyship, looks to match), they have absolutely no qualifications for the jobs and neither were elected for their erstwhile offices.”

I can’t stop laughing, Radio 5 is going overboard over this no mark ugly bint. Vicki Pollard on Radio 5 is almost having an on air orgasm as call after call from Liebour no marks tell us what a great women this ‘Cathy’ no name is.

So good she’s never been elected to anything and obviously SO GOOD that the jock one eyed idiot didn’t want her in his cabinet.

When her appointment was announced last night, most of the talk on the BBC 24 channel was about her lack of experience and the fact she’s reltaively unknown. That’s not bias is it? I haven’t heard R5 this morning, but from the comments here, it seems that people are suggesting the BBC is biased purely for interviewing people (Labour MPs/peers) who are bigging her up. It’s not bias for them to interview these people. What it is, is sloppy journalism if they don’t grill these people properly on this woman’s suitability for this non-job. If anyone can point me to a link/clip where the BBC are going easy on these guests, please do, otherwise I’m not sure what the issue is.

The BBC are today wheeling out endless useless twats like Kinnock to tell us this woman is a genius, so much of a genius she’s never won an election for anything and was shoved off to be some EU no mark.

Radio 5 has been a Tory free zone all morning.

Its not “sloppy Journalism” its bias, to give the vast majority of airtime to supporters of the newlabour plant/vegetable and then fail to ask hard questions is not sloppy, its bias.

The BBC knows that the next PM may well be Cameron and neither he or his party were given fair airtime, nor was the UKIP even though they have many MEP seats, thats not sloppy that is trying to portray the supporters as mainstream consensus and the opposers as minor and unimportant.

Off topic, but I hope you’ll indulge me: did anyone else hear Mark Lawson’s trailer for Front Row on R4 tonight when he mentioned ‘history students’ who have to learn lists of presidents and prime-ministers?  Well he preceded to list some consecutive presidents followed by some consecutive PMs…only thing was, his list of PMs went thus: ‘Heath, Callaghan, Major, Blair’…can anyone else spot the missing PM?  Just a wee oversight on his part, I’m sure…

BBC’s ‘World at One’, Radio 4: sycophantic on EU appointment.

For the BBC’s politically biased ‘discussion’ of appointment of Labour’s Baroness Ashton to EU post, the BBC arranged ANOTHER Tory-free zone.
BBC’s Shaun Ley gives free rein, and no interruptions, to the profundities of Labour MEP Glenis Willmott (who felt she had to remind us, more than once that the Baroness is A WOMAN, and how this is apparently important is the appointment). EU zealot, Lord Owen also pontificated for the EU.

Hearing (if sickening) is believing; search out BBC iPlayer for today’s edition; the item starts at 18 mins: 15 secs in.

Excellent political engineering, BBC, for EU bureaucracy, and your Labour government.

The intellectual chasm in these appointments is one thing, and in the EU as a whole, but crickey, why are the majority of people who work as career quangocrats such mooseheads?

Is there a sympathy vote at play for plain ugly people to get positions of power to govern over those of us of such startling  beauty! 😉 I smell corruption.

Surely the BBC Have Your Say Team need to investigate the rise of the ugly to unelected positions of power in Britain! Brown, Mandypants and now “this”.

Alas, pragmatism continues to rule us into a forthcoming oblivion.

  21. Craig says:

Gavin Esler, the supposedly impartial BBC presenter, has just been sharing his opinions with us – yet again – on Dateline London.

On those absurd EU appointments, he told us (in keeping with what seems to be the Beeb’s new standard line on the issue) “One way of looking at it is that Sarkozy and Merkel, and maybe Brown and Berlusconi and the others, want it to be – what did the French used to call it? – a ‘union des patries’, a union of sovereign states, which is what it is . So it’s shot the idea that there’s some federal superstate in the offing”.

Having taken sides against the Eurosceptics, he returned to the fray later, saying this: “I rarely hear the federalist superstate argument except for people who say they’re opposed to it. You never hear anyone saying they want it.”

What will, say, UKIP make of such comments from a supposedly neutral BBC presenter?

  22. Craig says:

As George R. pointed out, Shaun Ley’s interview with two pro-Ashton Europhiles, Lord Owen and Glenis Willmott (“It’s not going to be an easy job in many ways, is it?”), was very soft.

Even softer was Felicity Evans’s interview with Labour’s Joyce Quin on Thursday’s The World Tonight (just before she appeared on Newsnight to be given another easy ride by Gavin Esler).

The questions here included such toughies as ““How important is it for you that a woman is being elevated to such a prominent role within the EU?” and “And what about her as a person, as a character? Can you give us an idea about what she’d be like to have a drink with?”
