Just simple preachers.

In the comments to David’s recent post on Jacqui Smith’s list of people denied access to Britain, Not A Sheep has pointed out an example of BBC bias that achieves a sort of holy perfection.

Take a look at this BBC effort to inform the public: Who is on UK ‘least wanted’ list?. What do Abdullah Qadri Al Ahdal, Yunis Al Astal, Safval Hijazi and the wonderfully named Wadgy Abd El Hameid Mohamed Ghoneim all have in common? That’s right. They are all preachers. Of something or other. Mike Guzovsky, however, is a Jewish militant.

Oops, sorry. I got that wrong. Amir Siddique is the fourth preacher-of-no-particular-message. Wadgy Abd El Hameid Mohamed Ghoneim is actually a “speaker and writer”. He speaks and writes about we know not what.

As Not A Sheep says:

…there are eight Muslim “extremists” on the list (four of whom are described as preachers) but only one is identified as a follower of Islam, there is one Jew on the list and his religion is identified in the first word of his description, the American pastor’s religion is not directly named but as he is a “pastor” of a “Baptist church” that is not too tricky to deduce.

So my question to the BBC is this: why is it relevant to identify the religions of the one Jew and the one Christian (couple) on the list but in the majority of cases to leave the religion of Muslims on the list unidentified?

a leedle off-topic, but anyone following the Turkish Wedding Party Massacre that happened in deepest darkest Anatolia?

On BBC news online it seems to be categorised in Europe.

According to the Beeb, where does Europe end and Asia Minor start?!

Or does the Beeb think that Turkey already belong to the EU; lock, stock and 2 smoking barrels?

Because the BBC likes to lick the backside of Muslims clean.

I bet when beeboids found out that Abu Hamza actually has an official bum wiper in prison 20,000 beeboids were drooling at how they could apply for that job.

The BBC love Islam, Frank the cripple Gardner was on Radio 5 today spouting on about how we in the west just don’t understand Islam.

Yes we do Frank you prat, which is why you’re now a cripple and the rest of us are not.

Fascinating euphemism they use about the “preachers” who extol violence in the “furtherance of particular beliefs”. If they are particular, why not state them? How difficult is it to describe how they all advocate Sharia for everywhere?

The BBC have no problem with stating what Fred Phelps believes- he is described as anti-gay. Why not say something about the so-called “particular beliefs” of these so-called “preachers” of this unnamed religion?

Or would that be too much information for our own good?

Gobbledygook, it is, and no more, masquerading as information.

Laughable that she stated that the people denied entry do not want to share or value our way of life. How many illegal and bogus asylum seekers have Labour allowed to stay here for years and years who do not share or care about our country?

Key observation, ed. Half the Muslims on the list are preachers, and only one of the rest of them is, yet the beliefs of the one got mentioned. And they name his church. Where did any of these other preachers do business, BBC?

Although, to be fair, the Jewish militant is also noted to be trying to further “particular beliefs”. One point for the BBC, but that’s negated by the fact that he’s the only one whose particular beliefs have an association with a specific religion.

The only one who gets labeled “Muslim” is the US militant formerly known as Clarence Reams. Is it ‘cos he is black? I’m pretty sure he’s been on the TV, why can’t he be just a “television preacher”, too?

Also, out of all the people on this list, how many would incite violence by Muslims, as opposed to those who might incite violence against Muslims? How many don’t incite violence at all, but merely say things that Jacqui Smith and BBC Controllers don’t like?

    Savage response…

    From a WND interview today:

Talk radio host Michael Savage is considering legal action against Britain’s top homeland security official after she released today a list grouping him with terrorists and neo-Nazi murderers banned from entry because the government believes their views might provoke violence.

In a telephone interview with WND, Savage said he is still waiting to hear back from attorneys, but he noted Britain has very strict anti-defamation laws

‘She said this is the kind of behavior we won’t tolerate? She’s linking me with mass murderers who are in prison for killing Jewish children on buses? For my speech? The country where the Magna Carta was created?'”

Savage said his message for Smith and the people of the U.K. is, “Shame on you. Shame that you’ve fallen to such a low level.”

“It’s interesting to me that here I am a talk show host, who does not advocate violence, who advocates patriotic traditional values – borders, language, culture – who is now on a list banned in England,” Savage said. What does that say about the government of England? It says more about them than it says about me.”

PLEASE, people, get it into your heads: this is NOT a Labour government, and has never been one. It’s a Stalinist-Fascist gang of thugs and thieves. The correct one-word term for them is GANGSTERS.

Islamist clerics with funny Arabic names banned from Britain = dog bites man
Lunatic Kahanist whose name could pass as one of the Beastie Boys = man bites dog

People might actually need to be informed as to how Phelps, Guzovsky and the others earned their ban, whereas the average BBC punter can guess what sort of thing the usual suspects were saying.

Having said that, I think you do have a point here, the BBC should be more forthcoming about why they were banned, instead of thinking “Well, we’ve mentioned one Jew, now we need to mention a member of Hamas. Maybe switch the order round so it doesn’t look like that’s how we did it.” Apart from anything else there’s something makes me slightly uncomfortable about the BBC letting the reader’s preconceptions about Muslim clerics do the work.

JACQUI SMITH: DIARY OF A MAD FISHWIFE

    Remember this one:
    http://tundratabloid.blogspot.com/2009/02/britain-unraveled-home-secretary-jacqui.html
The British government of PM Brown have become unglued, lunacy rules at 10 Downing Street. Just yesterday the Tundra Tabloids reported that Dutch politician Geert Wilders, who produced the excellent Islam awareness movie, Fitna, was barred from entering jolly ol’ England due to the Home Secretary’s belief that his views, expressed in both the Fitna movie and elsewhere,
“would threaten community harmony and therefore public security in the UK.”
But British Home Secretary, Jacqui Smith, thinks however, that allowing a Hezbollah spokesman for the Stop the War Coalition, would prove to be a good thing for British society, and will pose absolutely no risk whatsoever for the UK.

That’s how far the UK has fallen, where appeasing the Muslim constituency is given top priority at the expense of common sense and reason. According to Smith, inviting an employee of the highly anti-Semitic Iranian-backed television station, Al-Manar, into the UK, is somehow a wise move, though in reality, it’s a display of utter foolishness, buffoonery and contempt for British society on a grand scale.

I understand that the Dutch politician Geert Wilders isn’t actually mentioned in the list- but he was actually turned away. A European MP. Apparantly, the American Michael Savage radio man had expressed no intention whatsoever of travelling to the UK. How on earth did his name get on the list? Similarly, the two Russians named, are also said to be in jail at the moment so their immediate prospects of jumping on a plane and arriving at a UK airport are much less than a flu virus from Mexico!
This list really does have a strange “pick and mix” quality to it, and yes, very much so, a politically correct one.

Balance dear boy, balance. The word is written through it like Brighton rock. Civil Service officials pulling all the stops out to show 1. The government is DOING something about nasty people
    2. Nasty people on all sides and in equal numbers are being stopped from being nasty here.

Its a whitewash – just the appearance of doing something.

What if there were actually four times as many nasty Muslim preachers out there as there were American shock-jocks. Or fourteen times as many. Or fourteen hundred times as many? Might it not look unbalanced but actually truly proportionate to the threat, to have banned four hundred Muslims and one Jew?

Press release government plus client media. Important to appear to be firm and balanced, while being nothing of the sort.

I hope this explains why the BBC has to be careful.

Some of the names on the list have not been released. It could be that Geert Wilders is on it. But then releasing it could lead to embarrassment in the future, as it is likely thet Geert Wilders could be the next PM of the Netherlands.
