HAMAS 1 ISRAEL 0?

I see that the BBC have been carrying the thoughts of the political leader of Hamas, Khaled Meshaal, as he declares victory over Israel. If you scroll down to the last few sentences of the article, you will get the Israeli point of view. Fair and balanced – we’re all Hamas now? I also noted that BBC’s grovelling coverage of Ban-ki Moon’s blethering from yesterday – did you catch that?

    Unbelievable,

    Here are Meshaal’s words:

“…and the battle to reopen the border crossings, particularly the Rafah crossing.”

Even though Rafah is on the border of Gaza and Egypt, BBC explains:

“Israel has blockaded the Palestinian enclave since Hamas took control of the Gaza Strip in June 2007.”

Not a word about Egyptian “brotherly” blockade of Hamas.

For the love of fucking allah!

Just watched the 10 oclock news and what a mistake that was!

Al Beeb in full flight, lots of pictures of fluffy bunnies and kids who were supposedly shot by Israeli soldiers (but thats ok, cause some Israeli officer got at least a 5 second chance to reply to the allegations that they killed some kids).

I mean…why did the Israeli soldiers use their M16’s to kill the little kids for?

Oh whats that? The IDF doesnt use the M16? But surely the guy is just confused cause the weapon he was using could look like an M16?

Well I suppose the TAVOR might look like an M16 if your a moron?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tavor

    Oh, but maybe he just confused the Galil, which bears a closer resemblance to an AK47 than a M16;

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IMI_Galil

Where the fuck has Al Beeb been for the last 10 years as Palestinians actually tried to murder innocent Israeli civilians?

Why arent they demanding Hamas to conduct investigations in to the REAL missile attacks on Israeli civilian population centres?

I guess its just easier to go after Israel…after all, Al Beeb reporters wont get killed for spreading their lies will they?

I thought those were FN-2000s when I saw the IDF troops about to go into Gaza on the news at Christmas. They looks pretty similar to the Tavor.

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen M-16s being carried around by the IDF girls when I was, uh, researching (yeah, that’ll do) some photos of them a few years back.

    Ah yes – here.

I’m not sure what the main battle rifle of the IDF is, but wiki says they use CAR-15s, M-4s (both of which are AR-15/M-16 derivatives), M-16s and Tavors.

The BBC are idiots. They soak up this propaganda without ANY evidence. How is the GPS position or the statements of the people there ‘evidence’?

The more I see of the BBC the more I see thick idiots who don’t have a clue.

Emma Hurd from Sky was brought back from Africa and she’s been the best TV journalist by a long way in my opinion.

None of the over emotional crap that the BBC and channel 4 pump out, just the story.

The BBC needs to cut down on travel expenses, so the Hamasniks are just helping out by bringing it to their doorstep. It’s expensive to get a van over to Whitechapel, what with the price of gas going back up, the congestion charge, extra manpower for the satellite feed, etc. Just be grateful that they’re trying to get more value out of your license fee.

I wonder how many Starbucks they will smash up this time?

I bet the one in Wood Lane will be guarded by a few BBC human shields.

    Not The BBC News:

    Hamas confirms executing Fatah collaborators
The Palestinian Authority’s Minister of Social Welfare Affairs, Mahmoud Habbash, accused Hamas on Wednesday of confiscating 63 trucks loaded with humanitarian aid while they were on their way to the UN Relief and Works Agency in Gaza.

He also confirmed that Hamas had been torturing and executing Fatah members in the Gaza Strip during and after Operation Cast Lead. Nineteen Palestinians were murdered in cold blood by Hamas, Habbash said, while more than 60 others were shot in the legs.

Ihab Ghissin, spokesman for the Hamas-run Interior Ministry in Gaza, confirmed that his men had arrested scores of “collaborators” with Israel during and after the war. However, he refused to say whether the detainees were members of Fatah. He also denied that the detainees were being tortured.

However, Musa Abu Marzouk, a top Hamas official in Syria, confirmed that his movement had executed “collaborators” during the war. He claimed that Fatah members had taken to the streets to blow kisses at IAF planes and handed out candies as they attacked Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.

Habbash accused Hamas of intimidating journalists and aid workers during the military operation and preventing them from speaking out without permission from the movement.

Hamas militiamen have been intercepting aid convoys and confiscating food and medical supplies, he claimed. Some Hamas officials had laid their hands on the aid and were selling them.

The minister said his office had received hundreds of complaints from Palestinians in the Gaza Strip about the confiscation of humanitarian aid.

This is great. An Italian journalist says no more than 600 were killed and the IDF says, no, we slotted 750 “Hamas operatives”! ๐Ÿ˜†

IDF denies report that no more than 600 people died in Gaza
Despite a report by Lorenzo Cremonesi, a correspondent for Italy’s Corriere della sera, that the number of Palestinians killed in Operation Cast Lead did not exceed five or six hundred, Israeli defense officials on Thursday said there were around 1,300 Palestinians killed during the fighting in Gaza and that a majority of them were Hamas operatives.

The IDF’s Gaza Coordination and Liaison Administration has already compiled a list with 900 names of Palestinians killed during the operation, out of which 750 are believed to be Hamas operatives.

The IDF estimated that two-thirds of those killed were gunmen affiliated with Hamas, Islamic Jihad and other Palestinian terror factions. At least 500 are believed to have been members of Hamas’s military wing.

Hamas, defense officials said, purposely covered up the number of dead and on Sunday claimed that only 48 members of its military wing had been killed. Many bodies belonging to Hamas operatives were being stored – officials said – in the morgue in Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.

The vast majority of the Hamas operatives killed were not wearing uniforms to disguise their affiliation, another reason for the exaggerated estimate of civilian casualties by the United Nations.

The IDF’s Military Intelligence has set up a team to come up with a comprehensive list including the names and affiliation of all of the Palestinians killed during Operation Cast Lead. The list, officials said, would be completed in the coming two weeks.

  22. Jeremy Bowen's Assistant says:

The BBC continues to tug at our heartstrings over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, all caused by Israel:

Agencies rush aid to Gaza Strip

“Much-needed supplies” are rushed in, homes reduced to rubble, hundreds of thousands without power, etc. All Israel’s fault.

Here are a couple more things about the damage Hamas is doing to the poor Palestinian people that the BBC doesn’t want you to know about:

Hamas confiscates aid trucks to Gaza

At least 10 trucks with humanitarian aid sent to the Gaza Strip by the Jordanian Red Crescent Society were confiscated by Hamas police shortly after the lorries entered the territory on Thursday evening, according to aid officials in Jerusalem.

    And this:

    IDF Obtained Hamas Intelligence Map

An overall study of the map demonstrates how Hamas deliberately uses civilians, using them as live targets and hiding behind them; they plant IEDs at the entrances of homes, they booby trap homes and they use places of worship, all with no regard to collateral damage or civilian lives.

That’s the BBC’s kind of Freedom Fighter, I guess. Yes, Hamas leaders really, really care about their own people, and value human life more dearly than the nasty Israelis. Not.

Note to the BBC and its defenders: Criticize Israel all you want. By failing to report this kind of thing and hiding the truth about Hamas, the BBC is actively supporting an organization dedicated to mass murder, even of their own people.

Am I the only person to notice the well-nourished, unshaven, black T shirted young men in all BBC coverage of “Inside” Gaza? As the BBC is silent on the issue I suspect their reporters are taking the easy way to cover the situation, they are being “fed” by Hamas โ€ข shame on them. DUBAI (AFP) โ€” A prominent Al-Qaeda figure, Abu Yahya al-Libi, on Thursday urged Islamist militants to launch attacks in the West, naming the United States and Britain, to avenge Israel’s onslaught on Gaza.

“Deliver to them the bitter taste of war, tragedies of displacement, and the bitterness of terror,” he said.

“It is time for this criminal state, and I mean Britain, to pay the price for its historic crime, which we have not and will not forget,” added Libi, blaming Palestinian suffering on Britain’s Balfour Declaration of 1917 which promised a homeland for Jewish people.”

al qaeda want to kill british people because of the balfour declaration.

will the bbc tell us why al qaeda want to kill us?

Wouldn’t it better “prove” the illegal use of human shields?

The picture does look a little odd to me, in that the man on the left appears to be smiling and the two colorful looking civilians on the right appear to be running toward the “phosphorus,” not away from it.

Hard to tell because it’s lo-res and not many pixels to compare, but, it does look suspicious to me.

The building in front and the ground in front of it appears to be hit, but the building to the right of the photo and the trees in front of the building seem to be untouched.

Also there’s a man in the foreground to the right looking in the other direction.
