YOU SAY INTERNAL, I SAY EXTERNAL

Obviously the BBC has been irritated by German criticism of the Great Leader’s plans to bankrupt the UK, sorry, I mean lead us into sun-lit uplands. And so it runs this pathetic attempt by David Miliband and Mr Broon to imply that any German comment is purely for internal German consumption and has nothing to do with broader economic events. What sheer rubbish. The Germans have been quite clear that they view the Brown “plan” with contempt and have no intention of following it. This is a cardinal sin and the BBC helpfully spins Miliband’s drivel as if it had substance when it is in fact as empty as his head.

On a slightly diferent topic, but indicative of how chuffing stupid the beeboids are, the presenters on their rural comedy slot, farming today, have only just discovered that if you buy supermarket ready meals, you are buying Thai chicken, stuffed FULL of lovely jubly steroids and growth hormones. #@**in hopeless.

Sadly for Millipede and the BBC, that argument has been demolished by the Germans already. This from Guido:

Steffen Kampeter, is the budget spokesman for Merkel’s CDU, last night he backed Peer Steinbrück (the SPD finance minister), saying he was “exactly expressing” the views of the government. Yesterday Balls and Brown were spinning bullshit saying that this was internal German coalition politics – in fact it is the shared view of both the CDU and the SPD.

Kampeter put the boot into Crash Gordon: “Peer Steinbrück’s comments have nothing whatsoever to do with internal German politics as Prime Minister Brown has suggested. In questioning the British Government’s approach, Peer Steinbrück is exactly expressing the views of the German Grand Coalition. After years of lecturing us on how we need to share in the gains of uncontrolled financial markets, the Labour politicians can’t now expect us to share in it’s losses. The tremendous amount of debt being offered by Britain shows a complete failure of Labour policy.”

Oh well, never mind. Better luck next time.

Yup, it’s classic Beeb. The story presented by two different organisations. The BBC:

    ‘Miliband: Germany backs UK policy’

    Telegraph:

‘Merkel spokesman: Labour a complete failure’

    Erm, what?

The BBC article you refer to spends more time citing quotes criticizing the UK government’s position than it does giving space the Brown and Miliband’s spin.

This is NOT an example of BBC bias.

Maybe you could provide us with a BBC link to Steffen Kampeter’s comments, if the BBC are being so balanced? Surely you have to admit it’s newsworthy?

The BBC article I read from the link gives much more space to Brown’s lies than the Germans’ truths. It could have been written by Brown’s spinners and maybe was. Guess you and I have been reading different articles !

    Thanks for that link.
Yes, to be fair to the BBC, they do report Kampeter’s demolition of Brown’s fiscal failure and his exposure of Brown’s lies about the German position.
However, I doubt if it signals a change in the BBC’s 100% support for Brown and his ruling clique.

Of course the beeboids love Gordon Brown.

If you are in a secure public sector job, this recession is just great for you.

Your salary will keep going up – as usual.

Meanwhile, your mortgage payments have gone down.

And the prices in the shops are plunging.

For beeboids this is a golden age.

They have more disposable income than ever before.

They’ve never had it so good!

So they give thanks to Saviour Gordo.

This isn’t spin, and it’s certainly not journalism.

It is lying. Lying unabashed; lying unrestrained; lying by turning the truth on its head; lying for the simple pleasure of lying.

Finally, then, they have arrived at the point of no shame and no return. A disgrace to their country and a disgrace to their profession.

The do or dont the Germans agree with “The Prime Monster” Accoring to the story the Germans have signed up to the pan-European Initiative” so the Germans are liars, they love the Prime Monster.

Except the Germans are putting up taxes to recover some of the bailout, while Britain spends AND reduces tax. Not the same scheme at all. To the Beeb its about Germany caught out, not how their approach differs – half the story as usual.

They are so desperate to relaunch Brown as the world’s favourite leader, but as they say on medecines, always read the label.

An interesting comment under the editorial from a Graham Hayward at 4.54 pm:

‘A BBC News 24 programme expert reporter informed me at breakfast time that the Germans were only criticising Brown because the Tories had asked them to! I wonder who told him that? As spin goes, this is so obviously crass that only the eager BBC team could have been fooled by it. Do they have no functioning brains, or does NuLab spin always bypass their brain function? We should be told.

The stupid BBC biased? Heaven forbid. No, its all the fault of the Tories.
I’m just amazed that they didn’t invoke Maggie Thatcher’s name.

Germany’s economy is based on manufacturing and, you know, actually making things. Manufacturing creates real, tangible wealth.

Britain’s economy is dependent on the City, which does not create any real wealth or jobs but which makes alot of politicians and media types very rich indeed.

You can’t run an economy based on the financial sector, because the financial sector is full of gamblers, morons, and crooks, and does not create any jobs.
