TAX GRAB.

It’s clear that the BBC is sympathetic to those politicians who favour raiding the cash assets of the energy companies as a means to obtain cash to then bribe, sorry I mean help “poorer families” struggling to pay their bills. This article is typical of BBC bias. It starts by putting the case in favour of the alleged “windfall tax”. Then, it provides space for an opposing view. But it then carefully segues the recent profits of the energy companies with a poll from the Observer to suggest that the majority of the public favour this tax grab. All very subtle and all contrived to convey the idea that government raiding the profits of private business is an honourable and worthy course of action.

    I enjoyed Cameron’s lefty rant.

Hit every mindless knee jerk lefty cliche incuding the classics:

Blame everything on Thatcher even thought she hasn’t been in power for 18 years and the Lefties have actually been in power for 11 long years.

Reference Stephen Milligan even though he died 14 years ago and try to slant all Tories as perverts.

When will these guys get a new script?

Also there is only one group on earth that uses the word ‘leccy’ and that is scousers so all this Sussex stuff is just crap.

    Labour party shill?

Sorry, but why should being called “Cameron” bar you from being a Scouser?

You’ll be telling me next that being called “Mohammed” means you can’t be British.

    niallster.

Why would i lie about where i am from.
Like Blair -im technically scottish [:-))] suppose the name could give it away? -ive never been to liverpool in my entire life -though i have the word “leccy” heard on council estates in [drum roll] crawely, for instance -where once tory die hards are somewhat regretting to “dont tell sid”

A lefty rant? No -a rant at utilities and food companies so obviously ripping of there customer base -because they can – treasure island uk PLC.

And no i wont be voting labour -i’ll be voting for Camerons tories.

    I will be voting TORY.
    I’ll repeat that:-

I will be voting for The conservatives.

Plus -i dont think labour have done everything badly in the past 11 years – my life and my childrens lives have been more comfortable than mine in the 1980’s when the cruel and vicious thatherites were in power. Yes -i do hate that woman -but thats “lefty?” no -i hated thatcher and still do,though i would never fully disrespect her contributions to the womens movement for instance.

    Alright our kid? eh eh?

    :-))

Without going too far off topic a question for Cameron and all the other lefties.

Thatcher has been out of power for 18 years. Your great leaders have been in power for 11 years.

So why do you all keep bleating on about Thatcher? Why not Stanley Baldwin as well?

Is your obsession with the past an admission that NuLab has achieved nothing in 11 years?

“I find a lot of comments here very uncaring – you all seem to be masturbating at the altar of the greedy thatcher years, with your stockings on and your orange in your mouth.”

Can’t these pathetic little socialists get it into your head Thatcher was nearly 20 years ago.
The Labour Party, pimps of poverty, have been in power for almost 12 years, and what a glorious fuck up the socialists have made of it.

“Taxation of greedy utility companies isnt a bad thing -if they threaten to pass the costs on [to protect shareholders £££££] then re-nationalise them and make the primary concern to provide the cheapest fuel possible to the most people without f*******g shareholders!”

Just like the Northern Rock eh?

There was an excellent WSJ op-ed on this a few weeks ago – Barack is considering a windfall tax in the States too:

    http://online.wsj.com/public/article_print/SB121780636275808495.html

Well worth reading. The conclusion is:

“The point is that what constitutes an abnormal profit is entirely arbitrary. It is in the eye of the political beholder, who is usually looking to soak some unpopular business. In other words, a windfall is nothing more than a profit earned by a business that some politician dislikes. And a tax on that profit is merely a form of politically motivated expropriation.

It’s what politicians do in Venezuela, not in a free country.”

  12. Atlas shrugged says:

Many miss the point. Which is the same point many have been almost forced to miss, by our ENTIRE media.

ONLY customers pay taxes. Corporations pay corporation tax, but do this by passing on the cost to the ultimate consumer.

If an extra tax is equally put on a monopoly industry such as energy, then the net cost of energy has been effectively licenced to increase its price.

Surly logic would dictate that IF there has been unfair profits made at the consumers expense. Then the excess cash MUST be returned to that individual customer.

    NOT THE GOVERNMENT.

Who are the corporate criminals co-conspirators that allowed the unfair excess profit to come to pass in the first place. Who also have every possible incentive in the world, to carry on doing all they can to assist the energy companies to perform the same obvious graft/crime again, next year.

I repeat; the BBC does not work for, or in the interests of ANY ordinary people, however hard the BBC may try to convince otherwise.

The BBC exists for one purpose and one purpose only. Which is to be a free ( free for the establishment anyway ) propaganda and miss information service acting solely for interests of the Imperial British Corporate Establishment.

If you don’t like what the BBC does or says. Your problem is not with the ignorant miss guided and largely brainwashed members of the BBC’s staff.

Your problem unfortunately is far more IMPOSSIBLE to solve then that.

Your problem is with the entire British/western Establishment, and a few billion of the worlds population who have already been successfully brainwashed and thus enslaved by them.
