WHEN THE CLANS RISE AGAIN

It’s interesting to observe that when one bunch of Palestinian thugs (Hamas) attack another bunch of Palestinian thugs (Fatah) leading the latter to leg it and beg sanctuary from the hated Jews, the BBC naturally portrays Israel as the villain of the piece when it propose to “send back” these vermin. Did I say vermin? Sorry, I meant to say partners in peace and of course world’s most oppressed people. Also isn’t it curious the way in which the BBC uses term “Clan” to describe these Fatah gangsters? Is there a long lost Scottish connection to the Middle East conflict we have not know of before now? Has Alex Salmond been told, could be SNP votes in it for him ? Even when Palestinians show their innate barbarism by butchering each other, the BBC still can’t resist blaming the Jews.

To be fair, David, “clan” is a widely used word in this context – particularly in Somalia (which has very complex clan structure) and Saudi Arabia, but also over the Middle East generally.

Lots of Arabs play bagpipes too. Apparently bagpipes were actually invented in Syria in about 100 A.D.

Also to be fair Miv- Clan is used in East Africa to distinguish them from tribes. I doubt the same justification is possible here. They always used to talk of tribes of Bedouin, btw. I suspect here we just have a fancy word for “family based gang”- hardly comparable to East African clans which are distinctive, mysterious- and pagan.

Maybe they meant “Klan”? After all, they do share some of the same goals.

Does anyone actually think Israel win be able to win the hearts and minds on the left leaning Western media because of this? I doubt it. They will ask why Israel hasn’t done more. My humble prediction.

It was a humanitarian gesture but look at the prominently featured image the BBC used to accompany the article? A picture that gives the impression the Israelis are deliberately humiliating those same Palestinians, with no explanation that the reason they are being “stripped” is to check for suicide belts. The BBC merely mentions “security reasons”, thus conveying the misleading impression that the Israelis are overly “harsh” and humiliating in their “security” measures. The BBC thus subtly spins a noble altruistic act by the Israelis in a way that further demonizes the Jewish state. Nor does the BBC heavily emphasize just how in depth the hospital care and medical care the wounded Palestinians are receiving is. The Jerusalem Post has a much more in depth report on this, including statements by the Hille clan to the effect that Hamas was endangering the lives of the women and children of the clan, committing “massacres” and so forth. The BBC was content to feature mostly Hamas’ side of the story in this dispute.

    BBC GROUPTHINK POLICIES ON ISRAEL

    bbc Fact one:

Israel is always to blame for everything and anything, Palestinians are always victims and any crime they commit must always be traced back to an Israeli fault.

    BBC fact two:

Israels actions and motives are always selfish, criminal, self serving, cruel, racist, illegal and morally bankrupt.

    BBC fact three:

There is only one victim in the conflict, the Palestinians and there is only one perpetrator, Israel.

    BBC fact four:

At the root of every story about the conflict, the ultimate blame and resposibility must lie with the Jews and Israel and if no ‘blame’ can be found it must be fabricated/inferred/planted/faked, on no account must Israel be excused of blame or responsibility for anything and if this is not possible in certain cases then anything positive must be minimised or couched in negative terms implying a selfish agenda.

    BBC fact five:

Non Jewish citizens of Israel must always be portrayed as unhappy and persecuted victims of Jewish racism and bigotry and under no circumstances should positive stories about the multicultural nature of Israel be shown in positive terms and under no circumstances should positive stories about Israel being a safe haven and sanctuary for asylum seekers fleeing the Muslim world.

The BBC, never ones to miss an opportunity to denigrate Israel, reported on an Israeli family mistakenly leaving a child behind at Ben Gurion airport when they flew to Paris. How is this an important story unless you believe like the BBC do that blackening the Israelis is a worthwhile job in itself?

    “Refugees from whom?”

    (by Melanie Phillips)

    [Extract]:

“So let’s get our head round this: Palestinians committed to the destruction of Israel fled from other Palestinians committed to the destruction of Israel into Israel, which is providing them with sanctuary and medical treatment, while the president of their putative state who bases his claim against Israel on its alleged refusal to admit Palestinian ‘refugees’ refused to allow actual Palestinian refugees fleeing Palestinian violence access to that same putative state, while Israel agonises over whether to grant them permanent asylum. Surreal, or what?” (Melanie Phillips).

    Russell,

I heard the same rubbish as you, these beeboid really could walk under the belly of a snake!
The actual truth is the israeli authorities were trying to find out the staus and background of the refugees/aid supplicants/seekers of Israeli charity to find out if they are genuinely persecuted and if so who is doing the persecuting, after all a terrorist may well go begging for help and pretend to need Israeli help and then murder innocent Israelis when given a chance! The Israeli security services need to know if there are suicide bombers lining up for humanitarian help and medical assistance given so generously by Israel. Given the obvious facts I wonder why the BBC chose to pervert the story? But then again the BBC have form on this kind of perversion, its not so long ago they mannaged to portray Israel as cruel and selfish when they gave refuge and safe haven to thousands of sudanese fleeing muslim persecution!

It’s a fine thing when the Arab press is more impartial than the BBC.

Hamas and Fatah are a bigger threat to the Palestinians than Israel
It is a damning indication of just how bad things have become in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip when Fatah militants there must look to Israel for protection from their Palestinian rivals. The Jewish state announced on Monday that it would help a group of 150 Fatah fighters who had fled weekend clashes in Gaza relocate to the West Bank, after determining that they would face “imminent danger” if they were to return home. The scenes of Israel coming to the rescue of Palestinians after a bout of Arab fratricide were reminiscent of the events of Black September, during which scores of Palestinians sought asylum in Israel to escape King Hussein’s crackdown on the Palestine Liberation Organization. The only difference this time around is that instead of seeking refuge from a heavy-handed Arab crackdown, Palestinians are fleeing from the murderous hands of their own Palestinian brothers.

    […]

Over the past few days the two Palestinian factions seem to be close to repeated the same disastrous mistakes. We have seen Palestinians denigrating the legitimacy of other Palestinians, Palestinians making war on other Palestinians, and Palestinians arresting other Palestinians, while the Jewish state has come to the rescue of those Palestinians who fear for their lives. Israel has never looked so good.

Hugh F seems so awestruck by these cartoon villains that he has abandoned his normal grandiloquent writing style. Describing their antics is extreme enough; no further embellishment required.
