GREEN PROPAGANDA TIME.

I had the misfortune to listen to BBC’s PM programme today and in particular to the segment running on “Renewable Energy” that ran from 5.30 to 5.45pm. This was PURE unadultered environmental propaganda – I could not believe the lack of balance even by BBC standards. Note how Nigel Lawson’s “adaption” suggestions are dismissed at the end of this little 15 minute pro-green diatribe with NO attempt to provide any balance. Shocking.

In March I flew to New York for some business and was surprised to see pack ice flowing in to the Atlantic from Baffin Bay!

At the time I was under the impression that the Northern Passage had been opened up and that war was about to break out because of them pesky russkies trying to ninja part of Canada because of the now open water ways!

    So much for global warming!

FE-MAILMAN is now an expert on PACK ICE and non-global wsrming, becaue she made up a story about flying to NEW YORK.
Fe-MAILMAN didn’t fly to New York. To do so would have contributed to global warming and Fe-MAILMAN wouldn’t do that.

theres a G8 meeting in a couple of weeks, so all this bollox about global warming on Al beeb is just to keep the green agenda in the news leading up to the said conference

heres todays global bollox story as spun by Dick Black, one of Al Beebs eco loons

remember in the good old days you would just get anti-capitalist demos at G8 Meetings, now its just the global warming brigade protesting wanting to send us all back to the stoneage

same people, different banner, but their goals are the same, moonbattery of the highest order

The problem is not just eco-belief,the problem is when people earn their living through something it it takes on a life of its own.

Every major animal charity has appointed salaried campaign officers for eco-stuff, resulting in endless daily press releases on the fate of the puffin, or (posed) pictures of turtles strangled by plastic bags.

Salaried journalists recycle the releases uncritically. Salaried university departments with nothing useful to do churn out studies to provide their students with project and research on the effect of blah blah blah.Salaried politicians fly off to conferences.

It’s created a saried industry of eco-worriers with nothing to offer in the marketplace except more “save the planet” press releases

There’s no editorial glory in naming it for the cack it is. “Bit controversial swimming against the green tide. Got anything on Pandas? They’re cute”

    Sheesh!

Just another stick to beat the capitalists (aka free-marketeers) with. Also a useful recruiting ground for sucking idealist young people into radical-left politics. They did the same with the “Stop the War” coalition. Lots of well meaning people used as a stick to beat the previaling culture and suck peolle into radical politics. They are the political equivalent of the Moonies or Scientologists.

Yes, that BBC Radio 4 ‘PM’ programme under the aegis of Mr. E. Mair, was one of the most politically biased editions I’ve ever heard. The one-sided, anti-Nigel Lawson propaganda on climate change, followed a similarly one-sided presentation a few minutes earlier on the Lisbon Treaty/Constitution.

As a counter to the BBC, Ann Widdecombe has a very good article on Nigel Lawson’s book, climate change, and the attempt by some to close down debate on this issue. (I’d certainly include the BBC on this.)

Another example of BBC cognitive dissonance. The facts stare them in the eyes but they refuse to see.
The globe has been cooling for 10 years – check out the HADCRUT3 data – but they still prattle on about the effects of warming.

Other examples – their fascination with promoting Islam, a religion which, if it had the wherewithal, would put to the sword a sizeable proportion of the BBC’s staff, on account of their sexual proclivities.

Another – their continuing support for the clearly dead horse of the Nu-Labour movement. To try to administer life saving measures here, – the BBC’s current policy – is both fatuous and sad to watch.

Their support for a universal takeover of UK PLC by Brussels – do they not know that once given this power, Brussels would be unable to resist the temptation to seize such a global propaganda “brand” as the BBC and turn it to its own purposes ?

All paid for by me and the rest of our once proud nation.

And so Labour’s costly and deceitful propaganda goes on, aided by the complicit BBC expensive ‘Green’ lobbyists:

    [Extract from BBC report below]

“The goal is to meet the EU target of 15% of energy from renewables by 2020.

“But at a time of consumer anger over fuel prices, the plan concedes that green power will cost more.”

‘Green energy push planned for UK’

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7467336.stm

In the BBC’s longish report here, the above is the only mention Labour’s so-called ‘green’ policies will “cost more”.

As a counter to all this propaganda, there is an alternative view revealed in this interview with Nigel Lawson, in the ‘Telegraph’ recently:-

“Lord Lawson closes on a note that others of us have struck in trying to puzzle out the deeper reasons for this great climate panic. He recognises that in many ways the global warming ideology has filled the vacuum left by the collapse of Marxism: ‘Green is the new red.’

“He sees parallels with the apocalyptic visions held out by certain religious movements in the past. He is alarmed by the fanatical intolerance shown by many believers in global warming to any heretic who dares question their certainties.

“He ends by describing ‘the new religion of global warming’ as ‘the Da Vinci Code of environmentalism.’ It is a great story and a best-seller. It contains a grain of truth and a mountain of nonsense.

“‘We have entered,” he says, “a new age of unreason, which threatens to be as economically harmful as it is disquieting. It is from this, above all, that we really do need to save the planet.”
