The BBC’s Fake Fake News Stories

In sum, they conclude that the role of social media was overstated, with television remaining by far the primary vehicle for consuming political news….Television remains more important by a large margin.

A study of fake news in the US during the election has completely undermined the BBC narrative that Trump stole the election due to fake news on social media sites fooling people into voting for him.

The BBC has been leading the campaign against ‘Fake News’, telling us that, remarkably, and falsely, that most Americans get their news from social media like Facebook and Twitter.  That’s just not true…nor is it true that ‘Fake News’ impacted in any significant way at all on the result of the US election…..

Did fake news help elect Trump? Not likely, according to new research

“Fake news” stories favoring Donald Trump far exceeded those favoring Hillary Clinton but did not have a significant impact on the presidential election, concludes a new survey of social and other media consumption.

In sum, they conclude that the role of social media was overstated, with television remaining by far the primary vehicle for consuming political news. Just 14 percent of Americans deemed social media the primary source of their campaign news, according to their research.

In addition, while fake news that favored Trump far exceeded that favoring Clinton, few Americans actually recalled the specifics of the stories and fewer believed them.

“For fake news to have changed the outcome of the election, a single fake article would need to have had the same persuasive effect as 36 television campaign ads,” they conclude.

The paper is worth consideration especially given overriding press assumptions about the potency of ideologically driven news coverage.

The BBC has also argued that the US is extremely polarised with Republicans only reading right-wing news and liberals only left-wing news etc but again..not true…. [as your own reading will undoubtedly reflect…the internet has opened up the world of different ideas and views, not created the echo chambers that the BBC insists is the norm now]…

Gentzkow and Shapiro countered that view by showing that most people do not get their news from ideologically driven sources, with more traditional neutral wire service and local TV fare outweighing the much chronicled cable news channels, notably Fox News, and politically skewed websites.

Can’t wait to see the BBC ‘analysis’ of this report.  Any bets they’ll hum and haw and then dismiss it as not fully representative and the wrong interpretation of the data, just as they did when a highly respected black professor concluded that whites were more likely to be shot by police than blacks?

Oh..and just for interest considering the BBC’s views on race and immigration…here’s an American Black thoroughly enjoying an immigrant getting his come-uppance after he attacked a bus driver…..

The BBC are exquisite purveyors of fake news. Their ‘news’ is made conspicuous by what they choose to leave out of their headlines and analysis pages. I mean when did you read or hear the BBC seriously discussing in-depth the seemingly epidemic levels of vile paedostani gang-rape of white children up and down the land? They refuse to because it would mean uncovering some very uncomfortable truths about their beloved religion of peace, love and understanding. So we now have a situation where silly leftie women march against an American president who loves this country and wants to protect his country folk against Islamic terror and yet they couldn’t give a shit about young children being abused by Muslim gangs. It’s despicable, loathsome, rancid and craven beyond words. That’s how vile the Left are.

I wonder when all those leftie scum protesters will march and demonstrate about the human sewerage in the DM link below?

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4184966/Child-sex-gang-members-shout-Allahu-Akbar-court.html

These revolting filth should be hung from lamp-posts and left to rot in public.

The BBC and the Left-wing fair-trade coffee-sipping brigade are more concerned about appearing self-righteous and peddling fake news than raising awareness of innocent children being gang raped by racist, Muslim paedo gangs. It isn’t just the news that is fake regarding the BBC and left in general… it is their everyday lives. They are living a craven lie… a fake existence.

Indeed. Compare and contrast with the BBC’s coverage of ‘historic sex abuse’ where they spend hours poring over a grope here, a bum-squeeze there – totally justified of course because these are ‘old white males’ in the dock and therefore easy targets. Then we had the hours of broadcasting building the credibility of the fantasist ‘Nick’ – totally justified because it put a load of old white Tories in the dock, or attempted to. How many lives did he destroy and why has he disappeared from the BBC spotlight precisely at the moment he should be well and truly under it to be held to account for his actions and motivations (blatantly political IMO – maybe there’s the answer).

Meanwhile thousands and thousands of vulnerable (in the truest sense of the word) under-age white teenage girls have been and continue to be subjected to the most intimidating, violent, racist, brutal, subhuman mass rapings it is difficult to imagine happening in 21st century Britain and it hardly gets a peep on the BBC. There is enough material in there for 50 Panoramas and 1000 ‘why is this happening and what can we do about it’ interviews on the likes of Today and Newsnight. Can you imagine the BBC’s coverage of white British gangs similarly targeting exclusively under age teenage Muslim girls? It would never be off the airwaves and TV screens.

Blatant bias and deliberate deception – somebody shut down this vile organisation until it does irreperable damage to our country.

The lefts psychopathic desperation to destroy their own countries, their own people that they are utterly ashamed of and despise, their culture, their entire history…looks to be leading the West to a civil war on a scale man kind has never known.

The mentally ill left are going to use whatever it takes to win, the utter destruction of civil functionality if necessary, to win their battle with their self hatred….but we already know that for them to win, we as a people, as a nation, are finished.

I’m sorry to be linking this video but to not be made aware of every single act of war that’s shown on this video, is an act of the utmost traitory against our people.

Our political elite, our MSM, and the hidious vermin bastards that riot and intimate to destroy our country, all need to be defeated…..or my friends, we will be crushed under the foot of Islam

Slightly OT but Milo had one of his meetings brutally attacked at Berkeley Uni in America, and on youtube you can see the mayhem and destruction. One vicious bit of footage was a girl being pepper sprayed by a middle aged fascist directly in the face literally two inches away, she had no idea it was coming as he was behind her at the time. Absolutely disgusting however his face was captured and hopefully he will be found. This ‘protest’ was shown on Sky I believe, however the worst was omitted and they were at pains to tell us that Milo was alt right, a troll, and involved with Breitbart that has links to white supremacy… thus belittling the attack.
Funny they didn’t mention he was a Jewish black loving faggot though ( his own words by the way ), but then we can’t have anti Semitism or homophobic sympathy for a white racist can we?
So make some fake news up about it!

Yes indeed, and that every negative comment he makes about Islam is followed by a remark that under sharia he would be killed. He always insists that he supports equality for women. but not the hate that is coming across with 3rd wave feminism. He has the left tied up.

Just picked up this peice of news about fake news from a character called Jimmy on Guido. Ha ha. Guardian and BBC publishing fake spoof news as news.
    Here you are
    ———–
Today we had a real good glimpse into the world of fake news.

Somebody has set up a joke twitter account pretending he is in the white house staff and tweeting things that appeal to the prejudices of
    Guardianistas.

So they make up a tweet about Trump insisting on a formal dress code for people working in the white hosue. Outrageous. Cue feminist anger and attention sekeing.

So they invent a hashtag #dresslikeawoman. This then allows women to play attention seeking/rebelling against daddy/proving to daddy that a career WAS more important than family etc. All the usual reasons angry women love twatter.

The Guardian then reports this nonsense as a real story.

It is then of course picked up by the BBC.

    Here are two examples:

Rebecca Alleyne, MD on Twitter — disq.us
Quite astonishingly it looks to be a real woman doctor who is still unable to resist attention seeking behaviour.

    KateP on Twitter — disq.us
Then what appears to be a British woman doctor posing with a gun who can’t resist being the centre of attention.

Aside from what it tells us about women, even intelligent ones, the most fascinating thing is to be seen in both of those links, scan down a few inches and you will see the BBC “Have your say” twitter account asking if they can use those photos. Caught very much in the act.

    BBC_HaveYourSay on Twitter — disq.us
    BBC_HaveYourSay on Twitter — disq.us
They just happened to be the first two I clicked on from the Guardian which listed many, I am sure there will be many others where the BBC attempts to push along this anti-Trump story.

So it goes from a parody/troll twitter account to being a real news story, enthusiastically pushed, without a shred of evidence, by the Guardian and BBC using photos from twitter to advance an anti-Trump and indeed feminist agenda.

    Fake news to the core.

BREAKING NEWS:- Reports are coming in of a brutal attack by the French Army on a civilian in Paris. The innocent victim was nonchalantly strolling down a Parisienne boulevard, looking forward to his first day at work, when he stopped, and politely asked a soldier outside the Louvre the way to Alain’s Snack-bar. The soldier asked him brusquely to repeat his question, the un-named victim gently waved in his direction the tool of his new trade – a meat cleaver – and again asked the soldier which way to Alain’s Snack-bar. Passers by watched in horror, and were deeply traumatised, when the soldier attacked the poor man, and shot him in a hail of bullets in yet another act of provocation by French security forces*. The victim is receiving the very best medical care possible, and has already asked Mr Phil Shiner to take up his case, Mr Shiner has cleared his UK schedule, and will be travelling to his new Paris office to kick-start his new French practise.
    * It was in November 2015 that several brave muslim men, who at the time were giving first aid to asthma attack victims at the Bataclan Theatre, were savagely gunned down when security forces needlessly stormed the building.

I decided to follow up. There seems little if anything out there about it.

I also clicked some of the BBC proferred links.

Not sure ‘that page does not exist’ helps the fact checking much.

I may be warming to Jimbo’s ‘fact checker’ unit.

When I see a BBC story, I will immediately hit the Internet to get the more likely version.

I will then pick the best, and submit it to the BBC, and ask them to vet it.

If they do, and it is different to their story, I will ask why.

If they don’t and pull a BBC watertight oversight, I will know they are full of it.

    Again.

It’s not just fake news they are pumping out. On their so called news web site there is an incredulous analysis of the Brexit voting data, which they sumerise as showing that only stupid people voted for Brexit and all the clever people voted for remain. OK, that is an oversimplification on my part, but not nearly as their oversimplification of the alleged data they were manipulating. I know most politicians stead well clear of criticism of the BBC, but it’s about time someone in authority held them to account.

    News/Not News?

Apparently the BBC treats it as news that Lady Gaga did NOT make any political statements during her Superbowl preformance. Is this news or just a statement of regret from BBC news editors?
