Enemies of The Status Quo

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

The BBC continues with its highly partisan reporting, or its anti-Trump, anti-Brexit propaganda as we should call it because the truth is important no?…unless you’re a BBC reporter.

Theresa May was about to deliver her speech on Brexit and the BBC decided the one voice we needed was that of Remainder Anna Soubry giving us her thoughts on it.  Anna Soubry, politically, morally corrupt, dishonest, with something of the night about her.  The women who tells us she fully respects and accepts the vote to leave the EU, then denounces Leave voters as stupid, ignorant racists, and continues by telling us we must put ideology aside [yours not hers] and do what is best for the economy…and that is…stay in the Single Market and the Custom’s Union….and of course thus obliged to continue with freedom of movement.  In other words totally, totalitarianly, ignore the vote for Brexit and carry on as if it had never happened.  As said, corrupt and dishonest, a liar.  Oh, and stupid.  Trump and Brexit were a reaction to precisely that type of deceitful, shamelessly corrupt and contemptuous politics, trying to present a total lie as the truth whilst bizarrely denouncing the voters as ‘deplorables’.  Just the way to win the voters around.

We were also treated to the slippery Mardell trying his best to run down Trump whilst trying to give the impression he was being impartial and fair….it didn’t work.  He brought on American author Jonathan Franzen to give us his considered opinion of Trump…Franzen being in love with Obama.  Trump, we hear, is heinous, he has a mastery of Twitter that is terrible to behold and his use of Twitter as a propaganda tool is also heinous.  Trump will create disaster after disaster and it is appalling that so many people who get their news via Twitter will be fooled by him.  Just another day at the BBC coalface. Twitter has 140 characters, Franzen seems to have none at all.

We can’t even get away from it when we try to relax and enjoy a bit of fantasy and outlandish behaviour with Sherlock as statues of Thatcher are smashed [the lefty writer said he was very conflicted about putting that in the script…of course you were luvvy], we are told ‘civilisation always relied on elective ignorance’ [oh you dumb stupid Leave voters] and that ‘we must be careful not to burn our bridges’[nudge nudge wink wink….stay in the safe harbour that is the EU]…oh and Sherlock went into a bizarre exhortation, the dramatic Henry V speech at Agincourt….a satirical, mocking, sneaky sneer at the ‘little Englanders’ who voted to leave….have to say I stopped watching about there as the programme was crap…you can put up with the nonsense if the show grabbed you but it didn’t…pretentious and overblown and far too up its own backside now.

That’s the BBC shaping its news and programming to deliver a message but they aren’t content with just preaching to you, they aim to make sure that the only message, the only values, the only beliefs, you receive are theirs.

Remember back in November when we said this…

Note how once again the news source feeding the BBC the story is Buzzfeed…..the BBC seems to have a very, very close partnership with Buzzfeed….does it use Buzzfeed to dig out stories it can’t break for fear of looking partisan and then reports them as ‘Buzzfeed stories’? [It did the same with Whittingdale…they couldn’t break the story of his dalliances with a prostitute because it would look too obviously a politically motivated hit job…so they, in collaboration with anti-Press campaigners, got a small, almost unknown, website to break the story]

The BBC et al are aiming to control who is allowed to publish on the internet and what they say….they want to have the right to judge what is news, what kind of news stories are published, to make judgement calls on not just their truth but also on their merits ethically and morally or merely whether they fit in with the likes of the BBC’s own values and beliefs.

It is an extremely sinister attack on free speech and thought.  The BBC aims to police the internet so that news and views are filtered through a left-wing prism….want to talk about immigration or Islam or climate change?  No, sorry, they can’t approve that.

As said many times here, the BBC is one of the greatest threats to democracy, freedom and a civilised society.

Since then of course Buzzfeed has continued to be the vehicle of choice to smuggle in news stories that a respectable news organisation wouldn’t touch…such as the sensationalist Trump ‘dossier’.   The BBC were then given an excuse to report on the ‘furore’ and just what it was all about…..never missing a chance to trash Trump of course.  But what else?  What of that ‘extremely sinister attack on free speech and thought‘?

It seems that the BBC is exactly intent on doing just that as it sets out to police the internet and exploit its resources and power to decide what is news, what is true and what is ‘acceptable’…

Permanent Reality Check team will target false stories or facts being shared on social media

LOL…they’d be at it all day if they turned their attention to their own news output.

Amid growing concern among politicians and news organisations about the impact of false information online, news chief James Harding told staff on Thursday that the BBC would be “weighing in on the battle over lies, distortions and exaggerations”.

The plans will see the corporation’s Reality Check series become permanent, backed by a dedicated team targeting false stories or facts being shared widely on social media.

“The BBC can’t edit the internet, but we won’t stand aside either,” Harding said. “We will fact check the most popular outliers on Facebook, Instagram and other social media.

Oh dear…..so just what will be the template that guides the BBC’s information highway thought-police?…

“Normal rules [of society have been] disrupted by low growth and high inequality; technological innovation spurring behavioural change and job insecurity; identity politics supplanting the old parties and fuelling narratives of exclusion.

Hmmm…higher inequality….hasn’t the ONS just published data saying income inequality has been reduced signficantly?  ‘There has been a gradual decline in income inequality in the last 10 years, with levels similar to those seen in the mid to late 1980s.’

Hmmm….technological innovation?  Does he mean the internet?  The internet that spreads democracy and free speech via the free flow of information and which breaks the information and knowledge monopoly of the likes of  the BBC?  With any luck they’ll be the ones out of a job.

Hmmm…Identity politics?  That’s famously the Left’s old game….but Harding of course means UKIP, he is suggesting they are playing a racist game…just the old trick of calling UKIP and anyone who wants to control immigration ‘racist’.

If that’s the template then we can expect full-on attempts to denounce and close down anyone or any site or any news outlet that doesn’t fit the BBC’s approved profile….an irony that The Truth is in fact the enemy for the BBC.

No surprise that the BBC has teamed up with Facebook…the site that promoted left-wing news, that promoted pro-Palestinian news and blocked pro-Israel news….the site that has agreed to censor any information that is critical of Merkel’s immigration policy.

I imagine that this will blow up in their faces soon enough, one way or another, as people get sick of being dictated to by little ‘liberal’ Hitlers in their digital bunkers.  It will prove vastly counter-productive.

Yes indeed. I have a sense that they have missed the boat now with respect to “opinion formation” due to a critical mass of people who now see them and all their kind for what they are.

Agreed Booha – I made the point on a post on the weekend thread. The greatest enemy the BBC and the left have are now themselves.

People are now becoming heartily sick of being preached at by an organisation which mainly consists of fully signed up members of the “Ivory Tower Club” Their hectoring, arrogance, condescension, greed, naivety and outright news manipulation have now reached such a state that all pretense of “balance” has gone out the window and all we get is a tidal wave of verbal diarrhea from this organisation as to why we are wrong and they are right.

They are accelerating into irrelevance at an exponential rate and have almost reached the critical point where they have caught up with their own arseholes.

What the laws of physics dictates will happen at this point nobody knows – but I think it is going to be messy!

I agree. Its going to depend on Team Trump. Have a look at this team. Its made up of very powerful people in their own right. Real movers and shakers, unlike the Obama team, who were just Obama’s friends, or patrons. This is a team picked to win a cultural, and real war, or both.

Reading Steve Banon’s, Trump’s strategy advisor. He is convinced that the West has forgotten why it is the West. In so doing, it had made the West vulnerable to Islamo-fascism, which he sees as the greatest threat the West has ever faced. I have said so for 37 years.

The Trump agenda is thus to change the philosophical direction that the West has been on, since the last 20 years, particularly the Obama years.

Given this, “Drain the swamp” is simply code for a “Reformation” of the West, and not just cleaning corruption in the DC Beltway. The latter will happen automatically as part of the “Reformation”.

If my analysis is correct, I would expect the entire political establishment of the West, including the CIA, NSA, FBI, to try and stop any attempt to neuter them.

President-elect Trump and his advisors knew this. They expected the Establishment to fight back. But instead of coming to some accommodation with the MSM, and even Intelligence agencies, who have, astonishingly, briefed against the incoming president, they saw it as an opportunity to up the ante on them. This is a real smart move. Indicates that Donald Trump is operating with his team behind him.

The Intelligence agencies must now realize that they have been had. In five days, the Intelligence chiefs will be on the carpet at the Oval Office, facing President Trump, flanked by the smartest and toughest people I have ever seen. Or they will resign before that happens. But that won’t end their nightmare. This is a war.

As Team Trump begins Combined Operations, (Call it Operation Overlord)*, we will see the rest of the West fall in line. Eastern Europe is already behind Donald Trump. Teresa May has already signalled she in on board.

I doubted that the West will win the demographic war with Islam. After 30 years of despondency, I now see that the West is not done. But Islam is, and so we will free 1.2 billion souls in Islam’s thrall. It will happen once Islam starts to lose every encounter with the West. Osama bin Laden knew his people – they will side with the Strong horse.

I so hope I’m not building castles in the air.

      * – Operation Overlord – to free Europe from Nazi tyranny.

        Amen to that NCBBC

This has all gone beyond the BBC hoping for a brexit failure it has become a collision of two diametrically opposed worlds and we all know which side the BBC is on – and it isnt ours.

I do not for one minute consider that most “BBC” employees ever consider what the “British” part of the BBC title implies. Time and time again they have worked against brexit and in effect us. They have no loyalty to our country and culture and probably consider themselves all worthy citizens of the “New World Order”

However flushed with the fact that they seem to have got away scot free after their recent false representation of our economy, migration and brexit misrepresentation. I think/hope they have drastically over estimated their strength and level of establishment protection.

Trump (or should I say President Trump) is a game changer and I am sure he will not forget the BBCs role in the Weewee Gatescandal.

I am sure Nigel has bought Trump up to speed on the “quality” of our state broadcaster. And hopefully the Teezer may well be under some pressure by some one a bit more heavy duty and influential than “whippingbum” to make some changes.

And now Aunty who felt fit to poke her disdainful nose into US internal matters and indeed poked her body way above the parapet may well now find that the cloak of the smug self righteousness is little protection when you are dealing with the most powerful man in the world – who quite frankly “doesnt give a shit”

        Roll on January 20th!

I have no time for Soubry; she’d keep us in if she could. I have no time either for the corrupt dictatorship which is the EUSSR.

However, getting out of the EU after 40+ years is going to take a long time; probably 10 years or more. And the easiest and best way to get back control of immigration and tell the ECJ to f* off is to stay in the single market while all the details are sorted using a transitional arrangement.

To those who say this cannot be done, I refer you to eureferendum.com, which you should read every day, and the Liechstenstein solution, which you will find in Flexcit. Job done.

I hear what you say with respect to a protracted process but there isn’t any law of physics that prevents the process occurring on a dime either.

Matters on the ground can shift awfully quickly when needs must. Should The Donald offer a once in a millennium deal do you think that we’d say “terribly sorry Donald but Drunky-Juncker says no”?

      Time will tell of course.

I imagine that you are old enough to remember Tomorrow’s World presenter James Burke. He also made some programmes in which studio ‘experts’ had to play through a war game scenario that he had set. The one thing that stood out to me about the programmes was that whatever was suggested Burke would leap in and tell them that this wasn’t allowed because of international law, treaties etc. Rather like our unlamented ex-EU ‘ambassador’ in fact. And Richard North, the man behind EUReferendum.com, is just the same. He has invested so much in learning the rules that he can see no other way.

Unfortunately for these people, in the real world, some people just march through The Ardennes. “But you can’t do that! It’s against the rules!”

North actually believes that the SNP lost their referendum because they didn’t produce a 20,000 page, referenced dossier, as he would have done, making the economic case. The reality is that the SNP nearly won because a lot of people got goose-bumps watching an Australian actor covered in woad. North is as much a ‘remainer’ as Soubry.

Nice analogy too with respect to the Ardennes.

When necessary one can just throw the rule-book in the bin.

Absolutely agree with respect to Richard North at EURef site. I found that, yes, he has the most precise understanding of “The Rules” but fails to address the real world. I’ve largely stopped reading his output in the last couple of years.

Why must leaving the EU take 10 years or more? To my mind, and that of a certain Nigel Farage, leaving the EU could all be done in a matter of weeks or months, certainly not years. Many talking heads with a vested interest in protracted negotiations will tell you that leaving the EU will be an extremely complicated business, but they are at best wrong or at worst lying.

Leaving the EU is rather like leaving a hotel, one simply packs ones bags and leaves. One does not enter into protracted negotiations so that one still has access to the swimming pool or gym.

Once we have left the EU we may then enter negotiations regarding free trade or what have you, and I agree any such negotiations will indeed be protracted and with no guarantee of a successful outcome. However, it is a mistake to conflate any such negotiations with the Brexit process itself.

The BBC will never give up on bashing Trump and cheerleading for the EU- until it’s either reformed or technology destroys its dominance . It’s an evil empire but I suspect it’s fraying at tne edges. The Internet is definitely chipping away at its monopoly . We can get our news elsewhere , we don’t have to watch its increasingly third rate drama output.
Yes the empire wants to strike back, but I see no chance of i player grabbing back dominance from Netflix or Amazon, despite the hopes of lord Hall Hall. And a good job too, unless we all want to continue living in some Orwellian dystopian nightmare of left liberal, metro, pro Muslim bias and fake news.
Meanwhile the anti Trump BBC steamroller continues . On BBC2 Coburn tries to rubbish the Michael Gove interview with Trump as infantile and avoiding questions on
inconsistency . Gove deals with this deftly .
Over on BBC1, Storming Norman ( smith) continues to give all political news a left wing flavour . He derides our hopes of a relatively quick trade deal with the USA, belittling what Trump has signalled . These things are so fiendishly complicated, he says .
Business as usual at the BBC- for now.
