Martin Hughes-Games, who claims he will be sidelined by the BBC

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Oh….there goes another one…the whiteys are being picked off….what will you do when they come for you?

You have to laugh…immigration is now impacting the BBC bubble and the good folk are having their lives, jobs and dreams put under threat…..welcome to the real world.

BBC Autumnwatch presenter ‘sidelined for being too white and middle class’

Martin Hughes-Games, the wildlife presenter, is to be sidelined from the BBC’s much-loved nature shows to make way for someone less white and middle class, he has suggested.

Hughes-Games, who joined “the Watches” in 2009, said Autumnwatch and Springwatch  needed a “more diverse team” to suit the agenda of modern television as he claims he has been shifted from the main line-up.

In April this year, the BBC introduced “tough” new diversity targets including an aim to have half the faces on screen be women by 2020, 15 per cent be black or minority ethnic, eight per cent disabled and a further eight per cent LGBT.

But that’s all just nonsense..no one gets a job because of their skin colour at the BBC.  How do I know..because Nihal Arthanayake says so.

Last week the BBC shamefully ‘crucified’ Louis Smith for his fooling about pretending to pray like a Muslim, immediately following, and no doubt deliberately placed, the Emma Barnett inquisition we had Nihal come on to discuss, tell us, about racist Britain…or rather to ask what has changed in Britain since the Brexit vote…..hate crimes have gone up and he put it that Britain has changed and become a nastier, more racist place.  He himself is not racist of course…despite stating that the South West is so ‘white’ and isolated that it is somewhat less progressive in its views….a bit like the South in the US no doubt.  White people are of course naturally inclined to be racist.

Nihal seemed to have a very big chip on his shoulder and told us that he was very upset about Tweets he had received…and dramatically that he feared for the future of his children in the new racist Britain.

Nihal Arthanayake

Apparently some Tweets had suggested he only got his job because of the colour of his skin.  He was very upset about that and denied it.  The Asian Nihal who had a job on the BBC’s ‘Asian Network’….I’m guessing skin colour and racial identity had absolutely nothing to do with that…but isn’t the ‘Asian Network’ a racist concept itself?  Does that not say the BBC thinks Asians are not ‘British’ and do not want to listen to the same radio that every other Brit listens to?

Nihal has moved on of course recently…

Nihal Arthanayake and Emma Barnett join BBC Radio 5 live line-up

The BBC tells us he is ‘one of the most exciting talents in British radio’ [I would beg to differ…he’s much the same as any other 5Live presenter with the same old left leaning opinions about everything…the same tendency to slap down callers with ‘controversial’, ie pro-Brexit or anti-immigration,  views whilst being very friendly to left leaning callers.] but any coincidence that he has been ‘promoted’ to the big time just as the BBC kicks off with its diversity agenda?  No recognition that white presenters are being sacked or sidelined to make way for a more ‘diverse’ presenting line up….such as him perhaps.

Listen to Nihal [from 8 mins on] as he says Britain is becoming a less tolerant society…..and it’s all because of…..Brexit…the racists have been empowered to come out from under their little rocks…and people who tweet him about his job and race are ‘oxygen thieves’…and so presumably shouldn’t be allowed to live.

    Yep, it’s a BBC double-whammy.

There’s that very special – in every sense – BBC diversity aka the United Colours of Liberal. Then there’s the deranged version of victimhood, whereby a farmer tending to his flock on Dartmoor has ‘white privilege’, but a smug Metro dim bulb being paid a boatload of license payers cash to sneer at working folk is a member of a persecuted minority.

Meanwhile, I prefer the updated version of Pastor Niemoller’s verse:

First they came for the Marxists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Marxist.
Then they came for the Liberals, and I did not speak out—
    Because I was not a Liberal…
Then they realised that had pretty solved 99% of our problems –
so they decided to chill out and enjoy the win

My wife will be upset, since Martin Hughes-Games is one of her favourites.

This can only end one way for the BBC. My wife is an absolutely typical BBC loving, middle-class, remain voting individual. She thinks that I have landed on planet conspiracy since Brexit. However, she has already said how sick and tired she has become of the constant anti-Brexit coverage, and actually admitted that she could vote Leave after Marmitegate.

The thing is, I thought exactly the same about the BBC as my wife until recently. Brexit was the straw of bias on the camel’s back. This story, and the others like it that are inevitably happening and will happen, WILL eventually undermine my wife’s support just as Brexit bias did mine.

The support that they are eroding is the demographic that has most faith in the BBC, and is more likely to pay the licence fee.

Yes, the most bizarre thing about the BBC is that it constantly, 24 hours a day insults the very people who are most likely to watch and listen to it. And forces us to pay for the priviledge of hearing receiving these insults. It cannot be a sustainable situation …. surely!

Who were the bunch who decided to go after any offending the hive using the full might of the BBC and the #nothelpful hashtag of social justice… only once they were safely out of the building with no right of reply?

And what happened thereafter, besides nothing?

The problem with quotas is one of definition. For example, the BBC claims it wants 8% of its presenters to be ‘LGBT’. But in what proportions? 2% of each? What about all those other categories the grievance-mongers go on about – ‘asexuals’, ‘pansexuals’ etc? How will they define who falls into what category? Could a woman, for example, say she was bisexual but claim that she did not wish to have sex with other women, but only men – thus putting her effectively in the same camp as a heterosexual woman. And how would they find all this out anyway?

The answer is, of course, that it is all bollocks. ‘Diversity’ is just a buzz-word bandied around by liberal progressives with no real understanding of what it means, and/or kept deliberately vague in order to further whatever agenda they have at the time. ‘Lack of diversity’ is a catch-all offence similar to ‘behaviour liable to cause a breach of the peace’ which can be shaped to fit any required outcome.

Today, Nihal said that he was broadcasting from a school bus parked next to the statue of Lord Nelson in Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester. I thought that a bit odd, as I didn’t recall any such statue. There is a statue of Lord Wellington, so he may have been getting them mixed up. These dead white males do all look alike don’t they?

    Four billion pounds well spent.

I’m sure that sketch writer from The Now Show, that was given the boot because of his skin colour, must’ve written scores of ‘jokes’ about immigrants taking jobs from the working-class scum, and also about the right wing press, yet the first thing he does when sacked is go whining to The Daily Mail.
I hope all the smarmy, self-righteous cunts get replaced by brown people – Jeremy Hardy, Steve Punt, Hugh Dennis, Dara O’Briain, Russell Howard, Rufus Hound, Marcus Brigstocke etc etc etc.
In fact I’m amazed they haven’t voluntarily given their jobs to coloureds already, being the principled socialists that they are.

As well as the bBBC’s racism, the sacking of Martin Hughes-Games demonstrates their metropolitan bias. Like it or not, different people have different interests and very few from the ethnic minorities like spending time in the countryside or watching wildlife; just as, for instance, very few elderly white people go to the Notting Hill Carnival. That’s not to judge one or the other as ‘better’ activities – although I’m sure we will all have our own views – but just to point out that they appeal to different groups of people.
But the London lefties who run the bBBC can’t imagine that these differences arise from normal human preferences and want to impose their stereotypical multi-culti views, and presenters, on everything.

“very few from the ethnic minorities like spending time in the countryside or watching wildlife”

You don’t have to look to the countryside to find activities that ethnic minorities don’t like. Any long established, white European cultural or historical activity, or traditional state occasion, fits that description.

The main exceptions seem to be ethnic minorities from the Far East. They seem to be more open adventurous and appreciative.

WE are worrying a bit too much. The BBC is dying on it’s feet. Compare the viewing figures now with 20 years ago. Then look at the shows. Day after day of rubbish and I include Strictly Come Dancing and the rest of the reality shows in that judgement.Drama is just poor .The American shows are in a different league.
Newsnight is fighting against reality and losing and the news programmes are barely disguised rehashes from elsewhere or propaganda.
R4 insults it’s core audience daily and the young never listen to it. The rest is wallpaper and will not be missed.
The world turns and the BBC is not turning with it.

Word order is important, now we see how “Only whites can be racist” has been subtly altered to “Whites can only be racist”. As a white anything and everything that you do and say will be interpreted as evidence of your racism, you can never win at the game of virtue signaling. It’s time for us to stop playing by the left’s rules and accept that the terms White and racist are now completely interchangeable and stop worrying about it.
Let them call us what they will, who cares?

Agree entirely – let it happen. I’ve been called racist. I usually say something along the lines of “Yes, according to your definition I probably am. So what?”.

It tends to take the wind out of their sails because they’re hoping for a retraction, and perhaps an apology”.

These people are bullies, and appearing apologetic or embarrassed just makes it worse. Show no mercy, follow up with even more “racism”. The word is losing its meaning. Let’s accelerate the process.

Just watched the first prog of the new ‘Autumnwatch’ series and I see they have started sneaking a black female presenter in,doing an outside report on Red Squirrels.
I may be wrong but I can’t remember seeing her before on the ‘watch’ series, just wait and see them edge her in, before long she will be a main presenter.
Some would say my comments are racist, but I feel it is the BBC who are being really racist ny moving the white man out because of his skin colour.

You’re quite right to be concerned and you shouldn’t worry about being called racist. If it means anything at all, it means you’re telling the truth and it hurts.

I’ve commented on this – why is it always blacks? They seem to have some God-given right to stand in for all ethnic minorities.

SKY is possibly worse but I don’t have to pay for it.

It’s interesting, isn’t it, when Red Squirrels are mentioned.

Red Squirrels are under threat from Grey Squirrels and it is thought right to lament and combat the replacement and marginalization of the indigenous former by the latter, who arrived more recently.

We now have another in an increasing body of Black presenters telling largely White Britons about squirrels. I wonder if she is intelligent enough to see a metaphor here.
