Hold the front page…Trump not quite fat!!

Oh to be a BBC journo…at the top of your profession, respected and authoritative….which is why, during the presidential election to elect probably the world’s most powerful person, you, the BBC journo, spend your time writing about how tubby, or not, Trump is….

Should Donald Trump’s weight be an election issue?

In a moment of pure daytime TV drama, he handed over a letter to host Dr Oz that revealed he weighs 236lb (107kg), or nearly 17 stone.

Given that he is 6ft 3in (1.9m) in height, that would give him a Body Mass Index of 29.5, according to US Centre for Disease Control standards.

Technically, that makes him “overweight” and just short of “obese” – news that might come as a surprise to many, as he does not appear particularly portly.

The medical community seems to be fairly relaxed about it.

Surely there are more important things to write about than the not-so-fat Trump.

Things like bombs going off in the US.

The BBC dodges any link whatsoever that might suggest a cause for these bombs in Manhattan.

Chelsea is an area with a high gay population but the BBC limitis its description to:

Chelsea is among the most fashionable districts of Manhattan and its bars and restaurants are usually crowded at the weekend.

‘Most fashionable’ eh?  One way of describing it.

There was a bomb at a US Marine charity run in New Jersey…the BBC forgets to mention the military link in this report…

The blast comes after a pipe bomb explosion in neighbouring New Jersey hours earlier along the route of a planned charity race.

So a gay area and a military event have been bombed….who might possibly be the most likely people to want to bomb such places?  The BBC doesn’t seem to want to give us a clue and certainly doesn’t want to link the two events…any link indicating a terror campaign with a purpose.

After the Boston bombing the BBC went into overdrive to claim that it was almost certainly the work of white supremacists…against all the odds…and yet here they refuse to join the dots and make a stab at naming the likely culprits.  Why?  Who are they protecting and why?

The bombers could have been ‘Black Lives Matter’ or angry white men but the most likely?  Islamists.  Just say so BBC.  Do our job…it’s not speculation but a reasoned and intelligent assessment of the facts that we know.

And then there is this…

Mass stabbing at Minnesota mall: Rampaging knifeman dressed as a security guard attacks eight shoppers while talking about Allah before being killed by off-duty cop

St. Cloud Police Chief Blair Anderson said during a news conference shortly after midnight that eight people were taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following the attack first reported about 8.15pm Saturday.

During the news conference, Anderson said the attacker who was armed with a knife made references to Allah during the attack and asked at least one person whether they were Muslim.

The BBC does report the Islam connection here, but only because the Police state it quite bluntly…if they aren’t forced to make that connection they won’t off their own back however evident the signs are.

I can’t see in the ‘news’ story where they mention Hillary’s BMI. Surely in the interests of ‘balance’ they should mention that shouldn’t they?

Just wait till you read the BBC’s report on “Eight wounded in Minnesota mall stabbing”.
    Some excerpts:
The attack happened in St Cloud, 70 miles (110km) north-west of Minneapolis. The motive is unclear.
The suspected attacker reportedly made references to Allah before he was killed.
The attacker asked at least one person if they were Muslim, Mr Anderson said, adding police “will be diligent and get to the bottom of this”.
    You couldn’t make it up!

The bomb was ‘intentional’ (no shit Sherlock?) but maybe not terrorism, must be just some scallywags having a bit of fun then?

I suppose the Mayor of New York is to blame as in his news conference he said something like that no connection to terrorism had been found. Maybe surprisingly for the Mayor, I consider any bomb in a city theoretically not at war, is being used to terrorise people. It is irrelevant whether the perpetrators are Muslim or not but this constant effort to avoid anyone taking offence is just getting stupid. But of course the Mayor’s words were just what the BBC wanted to report.

The BBC reporting has been updated cos the Governor did say it was terrorism
BBC : New York bomb was ‘act of terrorism’, says Governor Cuomo
      25 minutes ago
\\but no link to international groups has been found.//
\\Mr Cuomo said: “A bomb exploding in New York is obviously an act of terrorism.”
But he said that, as yet, no international organisation such as so-called Islamic State had claimed they were behind it.//

The context is upto now the BBC and Hillary camp have avoided the word “terrorism” in reporting the bombs ..as that would play into votes for Trump , as it emphasises there is danger from uncontrolled immigration and a particular religion.

Donald Trump is carrying a few extra pounds, and Hillary Clinton Clinton is hiding her Parkinson’s Disease. So in the BBC’s eyes, they are pretty much the same. Nothing to see here folks, move along…

Explosions can be unintentional as when a gas heater explodes. Even bombs can be unintentional as shown in this clip of a Syrian rebel taking a selfie With a phone rigged to as a detonater https://youtu.be/Xdi3GtAdKrs

Thanks for sharing that, I needed a laugh. To be fair, faced with singing like that, setting off the IED seems like a reasonable decision.

I do love the current hysteria which people love to engage in over BMI as if it is somehow a scientifically proved fact. It is not, and neither is it by any standard a accurate assessment of a person’s health or longevity.

Muhammad Ali, when he was at the peak of his career, had a BMI virtually identical to that of Trump whilst Mike Tyson’s BMI was an obese 35. How many people would have risked walking up to either of them to call the a Big Fat Tub of Lard to their face? Like so many other sports people where strength is a requirement of their sport, including many field events in athletics or team games where physical contact plays a part, their BMI fell well above the allegedly healthy ideal BMI of 25 yet they are perfectly fit and healthy.

I would be far less worried about my health if I had a BMI like Trump’s of around 30 with few health problems than I would be if I had a list of health problems as serious and as long as Billary Clinton’s. But don’t mention them at all, they might hinder the bBBC’s fanatical bias for promoting Clinton in the imminent US Presidential Elections.

I’ve no doubt they have already got their lorry loads of Champagne ordered in their determination for a Clinton Win. I really do hope they have to watch, in misery, as they have to ask for it to be returned unopened as soon as the result is declared.

Trump’s weight is a trivial matter. What is more important are Hillary’s far more serious medical problems. There is speculation that she may have Parkinson’s disease which makes her unsuitable for the presidency.

If this was Trump it would still be the BBC’s top story even days later.
