WEEKEND OPEN THREAD!

Well, the emotional blackmail from the BBC (along with others) has worked and we can now look forward to thousands of Syrians enriching our country. You have to hand it to the BBC, they use the power of their broadcasting monopoly to undermine our country at every opportunity! Anyway here’s a new open thread.

Just watched a VI former called Jones reviewing the newspapers on the Andrew Marr show claiming that a large number of economist back Jeremy Corbyns policies. Could I remind this lad who would have been too young to remember that 365 economist signed a letter telling Mrs Thatcher that her policies would lead to disaster.

We’re currently spending £50 billion per year, on interest, for money the government could have created itself. Given the money, the government has borrowed, was conjured out of thin air, by the banks, via fractional reserve banking, I’m quite up for printing the interest on the loans. Before we can do that, we need to balance the books (excluding interest payments). You can’t just print money for ‘nice things’ and hope for the best.

Here’s a subject for the Moral Maze: You are walking down an empty street, say Salford, or Rotherham, late at night, and you see a bbc reporter (male or female, it doesn’t seem to matter) being raped by a muslim illegal immigrant. What do you do?

As you pass by on the other side, remember to ask the reporter if they are feeling culturally enriched.

No, the answer may be sweeter than that. My answer is you call the police. You don’t try to be a hero because that’s what we are always being told, and with muslims, it’s probably good advice. Then you offer to be a witness for the prosecution. Now, if the bbeboid decides to allow the prosecution, they’ll have to publicly acknowledge that at least one illegal muslim immigrant is a violent woman hater (and or a kafir hater); which is opposite of everything the bbc drones have been spouting all their working life. If, on the other hand, they refuse to press charges, word will get out and it will be open season for all bbc staff. Haha.

I can see where you’re coming from, but it wouldn’t work that way. The victim would have anonymity, so nobody would know they were Beeb. So, no mea culpa would be required. It could be buried as ‘local news’ with a page on the site and no link, unless you happen to search Google – usual Beeb practice for problem stories.

Personally, I’d grab a brick smash the kunz head open and leave the scene (with the brick). I doubt the police would bother looking too hard. I certainly wouldn’t get ‘involved’ – she’s go from rapee to prosecution witness in the drop of a hat. Especially if you used an un-PC term (e.g animal, Muslim scum, etc) as you pulled the scummy muslim animal off her.

The message of this week for the BBC has been that propaganda works as they have helped force Cameron to follow their lead.

Cameron knows there are about 5M internal refugees in Syria, and 4M in the ‘front line’ states of Turkey, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt and Jordan. He knows also that these countries are relatively poor themselves by European standards, and that the UK foreign aid to these areas of £900M is far more than any other European country has given. He knows this helps more people than letting 10k into the UK.

He knows all this but has buckled to emotional blackmail, partly I suppose to avoid opprobrium at dinner parties. So now we see government by hash tag and media spin.

Meanwhile, elsewhere, on average 2200 children a day die of diarrhea from dirty water. Can we see their photos?

Camerloon seems to think his job is to push the interrsts of Syrians to the detriment of English citizens. Complete failure on limiting net immigration Pity he cannot be removed before he can do any more harm. At least the politicians in the Czech Republic and Slovakia have grasped the idea that their duty is to act in the interests of the citizens of their country and not to pretend to be some new-age guru who feels the pain of all sentient beings throughout the universe.

If the Somalians moved in, it would be like Somalia. What I just don’t understand is the Left, that always bang on about the Scandinavian Social Model, want the UK to take in people that are the complete opposite of Scandinavian people/culture and expect the UK to magically become more like Scandinavia. 1. Yes, if they can get to Germany and acquire a EUSSR passport. In that scenario, they can leave Germany at any point and come here unchallenged.

      2. No, if they fail to get to Germany, since neither will be in a camp close to Syria.

I’d say the probability of 1 above is higher though.

BBC PM radio 4 asks why the fabulously wealthy gulf states aren’t taking in any refugees, and comes up with the most amazing answer imaginable !

Apparently they aren’t taking refugees because

    a) Visas are difficult to get (sorry ? The states themselves control who they issue Visas to, and these are porous borders anyway!

    b) This really is the most amazing excuse – they have small populations and taking in massive numbers of refugees which could number a quarter of their population could change the demographic and damage their culture !

Pardon????? What have the Fascist left been doing to Europe for the past 3 decades ? We now how an immigrant population of at least a quarter of the indigenous one and we are told it’s ‘vibrant & enriching’ ! But while it’s a positive thing for the ‘Waycist’ whites – who don’t matter, it’s completely unacceptable to visit the same enrichment on the Arabs !

        William Hague 2001

        Time for Common Sense

We present here the most ambitious Conservative programme for a generation.

Its aim is to release the wisdom, decency and enterprise of British citizens. We can achieve that by handing back to individuals and families the ability to shape their own lives and communities.

We will free entrepreneurs to build businesses and to create prosperity, free those who use public services to choose what is best for them and free those who work in our schools and hospitals and police service from endless political interference.

We want to set people free so that they have greater power over their own lives. That is what I have always believed.

But there is something else too. I value those aspects of our national life which are bigger than individuals and families. That is why we will nurture our towns and cities, our countryside, our local institutions, our charities, our democracy — for they make us who we are as a nation.

Our programme is rooted in the instincts of millions of people whose beliefs are mocked by Labour. It is rooted, in other words, in common sense.

It shouldn’t be necessary to make an appeal to common sense.Yet the common sense wisdom of the mainstream majority, on crime, or on taxes, or the family, or on Europe, is under threat as never before.

Labour does not understand our country and cannot value what it cannot understand.

This meddling and interfering Government is eroding our freedoms as well as weakening the institutions that give us a sense of common purpose.

At this Election Britain has a choice between a Labour Party that trusts government instead of people and a Conservative Party that trusts people instead of government.

        I trust the British people.

        I trust their common sense.

        It’s time for common sense.

This is not the case and there are at least an equal number of female electrical engineers and doctors, as well as future electrical engineers and doctors. It must be noted that these women and children have not been trampled underfoot by a swarm off decent hard working refugees. Due to the inadvertent confusion associated with this image, however, the BBC has decided that all future reports will only contain images of female and future electrical engineers and doctors. It is important that none of these people should be identifiable as ‘other’ (e.g. headscarves) as this will play into the hands of the Far Right and the BBC has a responsibility to frame the debate in a responsible way.

This morning’s Today programme featured an interview with “Lord Hutton, chair of Nuclear Industry Association and a former Labour Defence Secretary and Tom Burke, chair of E3G – ‘Third Generation Environmentalism’ – a non-profit that advocates sustainable development” over the 6-year delay to the Hinckley nuclear power station build.

Burke advocated not building it at all and suggested it could easily be replaced by ‘renewables’. When asked how much of our power could be sourced by wind and solar he came back with ‘at least 45% and probably more’. The discussion continued – including relative costs – but I waited for the one question that is key to the whole debate of renewables expansion and it’s the one the BBC always, ALWAYS avoids asking: ‘What happens when the wind isn’t blowing and the sun isn’t shining?’ And they avoided it once more. Not even Hutton challenged Burke on it – presumably because it would expose the whole climate change/renewables scam that his government and Cameron’s have perpetrated on the gullible voters of this country.

The 70% of the population who rely on the BBC for their news therefore believe that renewables are the answer to our energy needs – with no ifs and no buts. As part of its ‘climate change’ agenda the BBC is an immovable advocate for renewables, still dutifully doing the bidding of its 28Gate environmentalist mates on this and also, just as vitally, fracking.

One can only hope that when the lights do go out and the old and vulnerable start dying from the cold – as is now inevitable unless there’s a big last-minute build of gas-fired power stations – somebody, somewhere will hold this contemptible, corrupt, agenda-pushing, poll tax-funded organisation to account, starting with prosecutions of Lord Hall-Hall, senior management, news and current affairs editors and members of the BBC Trust. A charge of manslaughter would not be unreasonable.

If even the climate loony thinks so-called renewables can fill 45% of our energy needs (they can’t of course), it follows that 55% must come from elsewhere. The only options are coal, oil, gas or nuclear. That’s it. Since the first three are fossil fuels which emit CO2 (which is harmless but let’s not go there), what is the leftist moron’s problem with nuclear?

    • Stuart Beaker says:

I think the guy meant ‘at least 45% from renewables, plus large-ish (actually, enormous) quantities of CCGT on standby, plus quite a few private diesel generators of all possible sizes, plus interconnects across the North Sea to even it out a bit with power from coal-fired, nuclear, and gas capacity on the continent. Plus a giant battery the size of Leicestershire, plus some pedal-cycle generation, plus some from water running up-hill, plus one of those perpetual motion thingies, plus energy beamed from giant mirrors, plus a new way to smelt metal without using energy, plus paper packaging plus bus-lanes plus a tax on breathing plus clothes containing nanotechnology that charges your phone while you walk to work plus, plus..

Anyway, thanks, it’s almost a relief to get away from the Crisis. And it gives us the happy choice of dying by the sword, or by hypothermia. Or, ironically, having to wait until a glorious sunny, windy, day before electrocuting yourself.

Still, pretty definite considering a ‘No’ vote on this poll is a total rejection of taking any more, without any nuance, qualification or condition attached.

So almost twice as many people are totally rejecting ANY further imports from the ME. Wow!

Imagine what the voting might be like if, say, the question had been ‘Should we close our borders to all immigrants from the ME, regardless of possessing a Euro-ID or coming via Germany, but nevertheless assist up to 5k verified orphans per year from their original DP camps, without awarding them citizenship or rights of indefinite stay’ [or something equally nuanced]. I wonder if anyone would have disagreed with that – maybe a few, but I bet the ratio would be close to 99%..

I have been watching a succession of increasingly bewildered cabinet ministers attempting to explain just what the xxxx our government are up to. I can hardly blame these hapless souls for seeming so confused seeing as just 24 hours ago they were arguing quite a different story. Of course that was until our pathetic excuse for a prime minister got a touch of the jitters due to a co-ordinated media hatchet job that had Dave shaking in his boots.
I’ve heard that we are now going to take “thousands” but just how many “thousands” is proving difficult to ascertain. Nothing will now pacify the left. Dave has buckled at his first real test and they can smell blood. He should have held his nerve and made the point that allowing “thousands” in will only encourage “thousands” more to attempt hazardous journeys. Natalie Bennett, on the lunch time news, was musing about 200,000 and then in the next breath 250,000 to come and join us in Blighty. Apparently, according to the leader of The Green Party,we’ve got plenty of space.
So, there you have it. Just what we need. A quarter of a million more Muslims.
    What could possibly go wrong…

I don’t think Mr Cameron actually caved in. However, he has been publicly humiliated. I do not see him as a vengeful man, whatever his faults – however, I think there could well be a mighty reckoning for the BBC in particular. They have stepped so far over the threshold of what is acceptable in a ‘national’ broadcaster, that they could be in for the collective shock of their lives, if Mr C does decide to clear out the Augean stables. I doubt if there will be much warning, either.

I could be wrong – our PM’s record is not very good; but maybe the worm will turn – especially if he thinks that there are millions of others, turning too..

        Politics is mostly compromise.

With all swirling about it is the art of taking the least bad and selling it as a solution.

Somewhere in there is the germ of an idea, taking genuine refugees, waiting patiently and playing the game.

I’d go further and restrict to kids and proven mothers. Military age males bottom of the list with an invitation to be assisted back to their homelands to defend them.

Solo young men grabbing the nearest moppet to wave around razor wire, or fathers flinging wives on railway tracks or kids in dingys without life jackets… not so much.

As to Mr. Cameron grasping how the BBC is one of the greatest threats to democratic process in this country, that is optimistic.

Stuart, one can only hope. This summer – all summer long – the BBC has led a very aggressive pro-‘migrant’ campaign, helped by their chums at CH4 (of course – no idiot more reliably idiotic than Jon Snow, after all) and most of the mainstream media.

But the BBC has been by far the most strident, assertive, wilfully doctrine about the issue and it has, many times, come very, very close to sounding like nothing less than a campaign pressure group; an advocacy outfit – all on the public dime.

There are serious questions of impartiality and balance for the BBC to address here. I can’t recall ever having been offered the views of anyone opposed to the influx of ‘migrants’ – not even on the main news bulletins and certainly not on Newsnight. Where are the counter-views, the balancing views? They are completely non-existent (because in the BBC’s view they simply don’t exist) in the BBC’s despicable coverage of the issue.

This is a saga in the BBC’s p*sspoor record on so-called ‘impartiality’ that will need to be revisited and forensically re-examined. The Corporation is flaunting its belligerence and tossing its mandated requirement for balance clear out of Broadcasting House. BBC journalists (although they are clearly not alone in this) sound increasingly like single-issue campaigners and the Corporation’s ceaseless editorialising on the subject is nothing less than political hectoring, often by stealth and ‘nudge’ but always without question and a clear refusal to truly, honestly debate the issue.

I haven’t listened to or watched any news on the bbc for weeks, a self imposed exile before my brain exploded in an apoplectic rage, but, after the liberal left’s disgusting and shameful exploitation of the poor child’s drowning (funny how the lefty scum are squeamish when it comes to showing any violent images but are happy to fully exploit the limp and lifeless body of a baby when it suites their cause), I had to put myself through the bullshit fest.

Sneering Nicky, Burden, arrogant Allen..all of them, presenting their shows with a sound of joviality and glee that was last heard before GE2015 and has been akin to a funeral dirge ever since. Two bob journalists all seemingly auditioning for a Pulitzer prize with their ever more heart wrenching descriptions of desperate and death defying journeys. These people have absolutely lapped this human misery up as though it is manna from heaven, their liberal socialist agenda has never had such a boost, they won’t even acknowledge the fact that it the EU’s open border, open everything, free money, education and health treatment for all policies that has helped cause this human misery.

It doesn’t matter that all law and order is basically breaking down, that dangers to health are likely to explode (as have household pests and vermin, and I know that for a fact), that the islamization of the UK will continue apace, that the resentment of people who simply don’t want this seemingly unstoppable swarm of migrants making the streets of the UK even more unrecognizable will eventually reach a breaking point just as long as they can fulfill their duties to saving all of humankind.

The totally unbiased bbc 5 dead lined up one liberal after another on their shows to espouse just how lucky we are to have had our county built by immigrants, how enriched we are, how our lives and country were basically shit before mass immigration…blah, blah, blah…and on the bullshit went. These people were bigging up their own part in the saving of humanity but not one of them come up with the solution of where we are going to put them all, how the NHS will stand up to even more free loaders, how the roads will cope with more traffic, how the education system will cope, how much more money the ignored taxpayers will have to stump up to keep these people? And not one of them admitted to giving up their spare room in their leafy suburb 5 bedroom home to house an immigrant family!!

If camoron had an ounce of decency he’d give the country the referendum on our EU membership immediately, but, with camoron being on a par with miliband and corbyn when it comes to socialist views, I doubt it will even happen in 2017.

They’re an ever growing army without weapons. Demanding this and that, throwing water and food away, going on hunger strike, no problem, they’ll get their way in the end. The media are their campaigners. Just as beggars in the streets use dogs for sympathy, then this lot wave babies in the air like flags. Yes, the whole BBC “refugee” line this week has been about “accepting” as many as come.

It doesn’t seem to matter that as things stand you have to wait a month to see the doctor of your own choice.

It doesn’t seem to matter that many UK cities are already at bursting and breaking point.

It doesn’t seem to matter that thousands more immigrants will only swamp an already sinking NHS.

It doesn’t seem to matter that it will excaserbate the extreme shortage of housing.

No, it “doesn’t matter” because the brain-dead, left wing numpties who are opening the flood gates don’t grasp that it will affect them.

It’s a simple question but just where exactly are these thousands of people going to live?.

    One other point.

Why should any country accept people who resort to suffragette behaviour(lying down on a railway line while holding your baby??), thuggery(see the news clips of them pulling down the holding fencing) and violence towards the police who have been sent to try and contain them?.

I would also like to ask these people just what are they expecting and planning to do when they arrive on European shores wearing nothing but jeans, a t-shirt and sun glasses??.

They had lived in Bodrun for 3 years, in a free house, with food…..he made up the story of steering the boat and his dying sons in his arms…all bullshit…..no reason to disbelieve this latest….see if i can post the link, meanwhile search yourself, it will not be on the BBC!!!!!

…And the award for least convincing acting performance goes to…..Yasmin Alibhai-Brown on the Jeremy Vine Show
Listen to bBC regular Yasmin turn on the crocodile tears over the body on the beach, notice how quickly she recovers. Our host laps it up, 13.00 minutes in. Also note the overwhelming bias of the callers, thankfully a woman at the end talks sense.

I’ve posted about this a few times on here, so please forgive the repetition, but: the people of Eastern Europe will not put up with this s***; regardless of what the E.U. says or does, nor however it coerces their elites or leaders.
They will get them out of their lands as fast as possible and into the softer, Western countries. They will certainly not accept these fatuous dispersal ideas, originating out of Brussels, Berlin and Paris.
I notice that Al Beebus hasn’t reported the Hungarian PM’s comments, re the effects of these huge numbers of Muslims moving into Christian Europe; unsurprising, I suppose, as with the Beeb’s progressives they’d be about as well received as a hog roast at a Bar Mitzvah.

Meanwhile in other news, a girl in her 20s is raped in Manchester by a paki (I fully reserve the right to abbreviate as long as the bbc and other media outlets can spit the word ‘Jew’ instead of Jewish) and another woman was locked up and abused for six days by Roman Torac from erm..Mosside apparently??

Both innocent victims of the liberal agenda, the one that supports power to women at every opportunity, well, apart from when they are raped by immigrants, that is just another crime statistic.

Seemingly the word Paki is now an approved word at the BBC.

At last a BBC programme taking the pee out of Moslems.

      What! I hear you cry.

It is called Sparkhill Sound and was broadcast last night on Radio 4 extra at 23.00 wherein the word Paki was used.

As the script writers and participants all or mainly appear to have a connection with the Indian sub-continent perhaps that is deemed acceptable.

Anyway perhaps worth a listen on “catch up” and wonder if a fatwah may soon be descending on the BBC for allowing ridicule of the ROP.

Well, both the Director of TV, one Danny Cohen, and one Alan Yentob – (two at the BBC who have immense power and influence), are not of the Christian faith, so its hardly surprising that the religious aspect of this story has never been mentioned.

Brissles, perhaps they are unfamiliar with this delightful Islamic saying – ‘First the Saturday people, then the Sunday people.’

Speaking of optimism, even if (and that’s a big one) they obliterate the threats from fighting loons in that sand-blasted medieval hell hole, do the pols and media seriously think the ‘refugees’ will make the trek back to forge a new Syria?

Only one country in the middle east created an oasis from the desert, and the mindset of those surrounding it is not to copy it but grab it.
