Many viewers also used the social network to express their anger and concerns over Willcox's rally coverage, including historian and BBC presenter Simon Schama

The BBC’s total lack of self-awareness is always amusing as it always manages to de-link itself from any reports it makes on ‘The Media’…the BBC not including itself as part of ‘The Media’ when it suits.

Today it asks:

Did French media put lives at risk?

How far can broadcast journalists go in live coverage of terrorist incidents when their reports might influence the course of events or even endanger lives?

In France, the question has particular relevance after two legal investigations were launched into media organisations over their handling of the January attacks in Paris.

This is in relation to the Muslim terrorist attack on Charlie Hebdo and the Jewish supermarket.

The BBC seems to have forgotten its own little controversy at that time when Tim Wilcox seemed to suggest that Jews were legitimate targets because of the actions of Israel in Gaza….two problems with that of course…one why does he think there is a problem with anything Israel does and two, why should that impact upon Jews, not even Israelis, living anywhere in the world?

Tim Wilcox’s words could easily be seen as acceptance that Jews are legitimate targets and thus gives the green light to others who wish to attack them.

This is the same BBC that has hidden the Balen Report which may or may not reveal the extent to which biased BBC reporting against Israel demonizes that country and by default Jews, and results in growing anger and attacks against Jews.  Does BBC News kill Jews?  The BBC doesn’t want you to know something about its reporting…can’t be good can it?

Ironically whilst talking about reporters putting lives at risk in the hunt for a scoop only today we had a daft BBC presenter reporting on the funeral of a gangster in Salford where the police would be in attendance.  What did she ask a senior police officer? She’d heard that there would be undercover police at the funeral….so will there be any undercover police at the funeral?   Can’t get much dumber than that….guess their cover is blown no matter what the police had to say on that.

When you read what the likes of Mr Bowen and Ms Knell write about the arabs who occupy the land called palestine with regard to their Israeli neighbours, it’s difficult to conclude anything other than the bbc is pro-muslim, anti-Israel and by extension anti-Jew. From my perspective, as a Christian, I believe that the bbc is also anti-Christian.

As an atheist I can concur that the BBC is zealously anti-Christian and anti-Jew. It is also anti any groups who defends themselves against Islamic imperialist aggression.

BBC reporting in the Gaza war corresponded so closely to Hamas guidelines for its own journalist that there was speculation that Jeremy Bowen had drafted them.

Does any of this remind you of BBC reporting (from Hamas Interior Ministry Guidelines for Social Media?
    * “Anyone killed or martyred is to be called a civilian from Gaza or Palestine, before we talk about his status in jihad or his military rank. Don’t forget to always add ‘innocent civilian’ or ‘innocent citizen’ in your description of those killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza.
    * “Begin [your reports of] news of resistance actions with the phrase ‘In response to the cruel Israeli attack,’ and conclude with the phrase ‘This many people have been martyred since Israel launched its aggression against Gaza.’ Be sure to always perpetuate the principle of ‘the role of the occupation is attack, and we in Palestine are fulfilling [the role of] the reaction.’
    * “Beware of spreading rumors from Israeli spokesmen, particularly those that harm the home front. Be wary regarding accepting the occupation’s version [of events]. You must always cast doubts on this [version], disprove it, and treat it as false.
“Avoid publishing pictures of rockets fired into Israel from [Gaza] city centers. This [would] provide a pretext for attacking residential areas in the Gaza Strip. Do not publish or share photos or video clips showing rocket launching sites or the movement of resistance [forces] in Gaza.
    * “To the administrators of news pages on Facebook: Do not publish close-ups of masked men with heavy weapons, so that your page will not be shut down [by Facebook] on the claim that you are inciting violence. In your coverage, be sure that you say: ‘The locally manufactured shells fired by the resistance are a natural response to the Israeli occupation that deliberately fires rockets against civilians in the West Bank and Gaza’…”

The real question is whether the BBC reports as it does from intimidation, identification, a desire to continue reporting from this area under all and any circumstances, corporate culture or the overriding influence of Jeremy Bowen on Middle east reporting.

BTW I have said on many occassions the BBC is not actively anti Jewish although it seems to be often anti Christian. So long as Judaism can be reduced to ‘funny’ dietary habits the BBC has no problem giving the Jewish religion about the same percentage of coverage as its percentage of the population. Sikhism, Hinduism and Buddhism, each of which has about as many adherents as Judaism in Britain receive much less. Islam receives much, much more.

Yes deegee, you’re right. I think we have copious reasons why Islam gets more coverage than is warranted by its (fast increasing) percentage of the population, and none of those reasons is due to its status as the religion of peace.
