The BBC At War With The British Public

The BBC gets it wrong again and again.  Instead of reporting the news it takes a ‘line’ and presents us wth a story that is pre-packaged in such a way that we are supposed to absorb the ‘message’ the BBC wishes to impart…and it nearly always has a ‘message’.

The BBC’s own prejudices, beliefs and values colour everything it does and this means it gets things spectacularly, and dangerously, wrong.

For the past 5 years it got the political ‘mood’ of the country entirely wrong, believing that the election was going to be decided upon a very particular set of criteria…ones remarkably similar to those put forward by Labour as their election message.

Here’s Harriet Harman in a recent interview with the Independent in which she lays out why Labour lost…

Even people who supported Labour at last month’s election were privately relieved afterwards that the party did not win power, Harriet Harman has admitted.

In a candid interview with The Independent, Labour’s interim leader admitted the widespread doubts about the party’s leadership and economic credibility cost it dearly.  She said Labour’s much-trumpeted 6m conversations with voters counted for little because the party had the “wrong message.”

Many people felt Labour was not talking to them because it raised issues such as zero hours contracts, the living wage and food banks,  she said.

Ms Harman believes  a common problem all over Britain was  that voters felt the party “doesn’t talk about me”. Labour was seen as supporting “people on benefits” but not those who “work hard.” She said: “It doesn’t matter how many leaflets you deliver if the message is not right.”

“People were not massively enthusiastic about the Conservatives or David Cameron but they settled for the devil they knew.”

On Ed Miliband and Labour’s economic credibility: “The two combined together.  People tend to like a leader they feel is economically competent.”

So ‘Many people felt Labour was not talking to them because it raised issues such as zero hours contracts, the living wage and food banks’……all subjects that the BBC bombarded us with relentlessly….in other words the BBC wasn’t ‘talking to the voters’ , it wasn’t giving us the news, it was preaching a message, Labour’s message….one Labour itself now disowns.

The BBC told us that Miliband was leading the political narrative, that he had caught the zeitgeist, the popular concerns that would sweep him to power, and yet they weren’t the real concerns of the people, the people weren’t at all interested in the narrative that the BBC was peddling….they wanted to know why and how Labour crashed the economy and why they thought they could be trusted to run it again….the BBC comprehensively failed to bring Labour to book on its economic record and it was left to a few QT audience members in Leeds to do the BBC journalist’s work for them….A couple of minutes of intense scrutiny by joe public that destroyed 5 years of pro-Labour work by the BBC…though it now claims that this was a triumph for the BBC, claiming the credit for one of the major events of the election.

The BBC also allowed its prejudices to shape its coverage of all things Muslim. They rushed to tell us that all the evidence pointed to the Boston bombs being the work of white supremacists, and Mark Mardell tried to dismiss an Islamist terrorist attack at Fort Hood as a a “senseless tragedy”, devoid of deeper meaning.’….in other words absolutely nothing to do with Islam and the killer’s well known devout beliefs.

Of course on a larger scale the lies told about the Iraq Dossier by the BBC led not only to David Kelly’s death but a narrative about the legality of the war that has fed into the radicalisation of Muslims and subsequent years of terrorist threats and the growth of ISIS.

It’s still at it, downplaying the threat from Muslim activism and even defending and promoting it.  Here’s Mark Easton telling us that perhaps we should accept that Muslims should be allowed to take over schools and turn them into centres of Islamic propaganda…Trojan horse’ scandal – extreme or diverse?

Here he is again, telling us that perhaps Muslim extremists are heroes along the lines of Nelson Mandela and Ghandi or even Churchill…..Should we value extremism?

And here’s the BBC spinning away about the latest Muslim bomber….IS recruits: Victims or criminals?

The BBC got the narrative spectacularly worng on 7/7 when 52 people were killed and over 700 injured by Muslim bombers and the BBC tried to present the bombers, those ‘young British Muslims’ as the BBC preferred to call them, as victims of British society…the usual claims of them being disenfranchised, marginalised and discriminated against.  The BBC rapidly had to change its tune as it realised that the British public weren’t buying that as people lay dead and dying and yet today the BBC have reverted to type and are back to spinning their narrative of Muslim murderers as the real victims…

Dominic Casciani, home affairs correspondent

Talha Asmal’s family say he was groomed. That makes him, in their eyes, a teenage victim, rather than a criminal or terrorist.

Ten years ago, the UK had the same debate about suicide bombers from Yorkshire who killed 52 people in London in the 7/7 attacks.

Now I think I can safely say there was no debate about the 7/7 Muslim murderers being victims…if there was one it was one held solely within the confines of the rarified atmosphere of the BBC Bubble.  This is pure propaganda by the BBC that is designed to feed into the latest narrative we are being force fed about the 17 year old Muslim who joined ISIS and became a suicide bomber….he of course is a victim himself…did I ever hear the BBC even mention the real victims who died in the bomb attack?  No.

The BBC’s narrative on Islam and the ‘radicalisation’ of Muslims is completely worthless and dangerous…excusing and glorifying terror and failing, deliberately, to nail the reasons for that ‘radicalisation’…..the essential fact that all these terrorists are Muslim and driven by their religion to do the things they do in that religion’s name…to defend Muslims and Muslim countries against the Kufar.

Not being honest about the real motivations behind the rise of the Jihadis means you have zero chance of tackling it, one way or another.

Here is a classic example of the BBC ‘looking the other way’ as it is fed a line by the Islamist Baroness Warsi on the Today programme yesterday(from 08:10) who declares that the solution to radicalisation is to let extremist groups, those defined by government as ‘beyond the pale’, put their agendas in place….by not talking to them the government is not talking to the Muslim community….the government has ‘disengaged’ with the Muslim community….

“Let’s first of all be very clear about finding the evidence base of what are the drivers to radicalisation. It may make for uncomfortable reading but it is only when we start to have that honest conversation that we unpick what is now becoming a generational challenge…

Sadly over the last six or seven years there has been a policy of disengagement with British Muslim communities. It is incredibly odd and incredibly worrying that over time more and more individuals, more and more organisations are considered by the government to be beyond the pale and therefore not to be engaged with … Unfortunately the coalition government carried on that policy. It is now time to end that policy of disengagement and start speaking to the British Muslim communities”

The BBC completely ignored the implications of what she was saying….that the extremists and their views should become ‘acceptable’ and even more worrying that these organisations are in fact representative of the Muslim community as a whole….in other words they are not ‘extremists’ or people who pervert the religion, and far from being ‘outside’ the community they are the voice of it.

Might have thought that was worth a raised eyebrow or two.

So BBC,  what are the drivers of radicalisation?  Could it possibly be a religion that absolutely obliges its adherents to fight in the name of its God to defend Muslim lands and Muslim lives could it?

Simple really if you were being honest.  Why do Muslims think they are victims and under attack in need of defence?…because the BBC and its ilk tell them they are……Until the BBC admits to itself that it is pushing a false and dangerous narrative that Muslims are victims of British society and that Western foreign policy is anti-Muslim there is little point in any politician trying to counter that narrative…..that’s of course if the politicians actually want to stick their heads up above the parapet and tell some uncomfortable truths that they can for now comfortably ignore as long as the BBC doesn’t challenge their appeasement….which of course it doesn’t…it has its own brand of Muslim appeasement.

Here’s some advice to Muslims from one of the BBC’s favourite, ‘beyond the pale’, Islamist groups, MPACUK…

The Obligation of Jihad

“Allah hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit (at home). Unto all (in Faith) hath Allah promised good. But those who strive and fight hath He distinguished above those who sit (at home) by a special reward,” Quran Chapter 4: The Women, verse 95

A high rank, forgiveness and mercy are gifted from our beloved for those who are the Mujahideen. Those that struggle and strive to protect the religion, that protect the honour of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), that protect our brothers and sisters in Islam and humanity are gifted with these amazing favours!

Are we aware of the consequences of not partaking in this strive and struggle to protect the Ummah? By forsaking ourselves of the duty of Jihad we risk the wrath of God, we expose Islam to harm and defeat at the hands of its enemies. Islam is one of the largest, if not the largest religion in the world yet simultaneously we are the most persecuted people on earth– how can this be so when it is this very religion that endorses the protection of human life as a rooted principle? The answer is simple; when Muslims abandon the obligation of Jihad, preferring a life of ease, concentrating on worldly gains and pleasure we face degradation, ridicule, enslavement, humiliation and consequently all our affairs are corrupted.

Those who do not observe Jihad are indeed committing a grave sin because there is much harm that emanates into society when it is abandoned. Those that neglect Jihad will be disobeying something God has commanded us all to partake in; they have not aided in protecting the Religion of God, they have not defended the Book of God, its messages and His law, they have not helped the Ummah against the enemy who wants to destroy them.

If any of us find our hearts at this stage; as a matter of urgency we must change for not only are we exposing ourselves to humiliation and harm in this life, but also in the Hereafter; for the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “He who dies without having fought in the way of Allah or without having felt it to be his duty, will die having a trait of hypocrisy”

A classic example arose last night whilst broadcasting BBC London News (that well known bastion of BBC “impartiality”).

A long segment was given to the election hustings which are due to take place involving the election of the London Mayor. For a long period Tim Donovan (BBC political reporter for BBC London News) carried on about the merits of the 6 candidates, what they all stood for etc etc.

It was quite some time into the report, well right at the end in fact, before it became clear to the viewer that these 6 candidates were in fact all Labour candidates, the precise candidates for each party not having been chosen yet.

They allocated one sentence at the very end of the report to say that the Tories have one substantial potential candidate in Zac Goldsmith. That was it.

    Total bias.

For only £3 you can help to make life more difficult for the BBC by signing up to have a vote in the Labour leadership contest and move the party back to Blairism or leftwards to oblivion, either of which will cause a problem for the BBC, and the party.

    Excellent article summarising the treason.

When will MPs actually admit that allowing non-whites into the UK was a mistake. The biggest in our history, which will probably cause more loss of life than c20 wars?

Admit that this mistake was caused by the worst kind of unrealistic thinking, and childish ideology. The worst betrayal in history.

Then apologise to both the current white population and those killed and wounded in the defence of this country in the past.

Then take their revolvers into their libraries, lock the door and blow what passes for their brains out.

The left’s, and by definition the BBC’s, infatuation with Islam is baffling. Have they ever tried to imagine life under sharia law. Women and homosexuals are over-represented amongst BBC presenting staff; what would their long term career prospects be? Women’s right’s, gay rights, freedom of speech, freedom of religion? All things the left would like you to believe they championed.
Labour and the BBC were rumbled by the electorate which is why both organisations are sliding into oblivion.

The BBC will support anything and anybody who is determined to belittle Britain and cause us as much damage as possible. The BBC, since the post WW2 Leftist indoctrinated students came of age in the late 1960s, moved in and infiltrated the organisation in order to spread their propaganda, has slowly moved from being British to being anti-British.

They have become determined to twist and destroy our customs and proud history in order to undermine us and make it easier for us to be handed over to outsiders for them to have control over us.

The more people that live here who have no primary loyalty to Britain and the more British people who have been indoctrinated to be ashamed of our nation the more it suits their aim to sell us out and with the BBC monopoly on news and current affairs the easier it is for the Left to hand us over to the Internationalists and their fervent belief in some form of Supranational Government to have total control over the country. And wouldn’t the BBCites be ecstatic if they succeeded in help bring that about. .

I think it’s pretty well happened already.
In fact, it could be said that the rot set in before WW2, when the intelligentsia of the 30’s were determinedly left-wing, and often avowed Communists. Right wingers were outcasts even then.
The Spanish Civil War attracted many more socialist supporters from the UK than Franco.
The Russian contribution to defeating Hitler also raised the image of Communism in many eyes.
The present trend, when Left-wing, levelling attitudes have become regarded as central, and elitism in everything but sport is derided, has grown from rather earlier roots than you suggest.

      http://www.theguardian.com/politics/video/2015/jun/16/lady-warsi-government-engage-muslim-communities-video?CMP=embed_video

Warsi’s comments come after an appeal to find three sisters and their nine children with travelled from the UK to Saudi Arabia for an Islamic pilgrimage from which they have not returned

Stange – that three devout Muslim women with children , were allowed to go on Haj on their own, without their husbands. Very strange. I suppose the husbands will now get clearance to go to the caliphate to bring their wives back.

Further: A Bradford imam blames guvmint for not monitoring the three sisters who left for the caliphate.

Is this imam serious? As if we dont have enough expensive monitoring problems with Muslims (FGM, forced marriages, Halal, terrorism etc etc), we have to monitor all Muslims everywhere, all the time. Who is going to pay for all this, unless there is to be a special tax on all Muslims, a kind of BBC license fee, that will pay for the trouble that Muslims have created for all of us.

Yeah, this seems to be the pattern now. Muslims complain about being under surveillance, then they complain about not being under surveillance. As usual, it’s never their fault.

I’m sure most of you would have seen this, but here is Baroness Warsi on the BBC pedalling her rubbish and basically parcelling blame around for Muslim misdeeds in a teeth-grinding way.

She insultingly laughs over Peter Hitchens who tries to declare that he’s not Islamophobic but that he quite understandably doesn’t want to live in an Islamic society. The truly chilling bit is when the beardy guy in the white dress says “it’s coming anyway, you can’t stop it.” You need to pay attention to it, it’s right at the end. You’d almost miss it for the circus noises coming from Warsi. smh.

I don’t know about anyone else, but between the invasion in the Med and this continuous “victim” spinning crap over the last few days, does anyone else feel very angry about all this? Or is that just me?

And although I do have contempt for Islamic beliefs, at least the people who follow them know what they are. The opposite of what we would regard as right, but at least we can see them for what they are.

Like you, I probably have more contempt for the people I think should know better, people raised in a free society, but whose morality flutters in the politically correct wind. Their idealogies allow them to ignore the truth and to believe things which are nonsense, such as equality is good, but so is diversity, that up is down, that black is white, that weakness is strength, that Islam is a religion of peace…

It will allow them to instigate and manufacture the most appalling atrocities, just like what happened in the last century, all under the guise of doing good.

Free speech is the best safety valve against tyranny, as it allows the truth and reason to come out, our biggest weapons. Don’t lose heart people, we’re far stronger and they’re far weaker than many realise.

There is plenty of evidence and commentary on the alliance between the liberal left and Islam. Virtually every Guardian/BBC commentator and current politician provides it in spades. The current attempt to create a victim status for the suicide bomber is all you need
It seems as if it was not sought by Islamic hardliners but rather a result of the liberal loathing of the traditional culure of the West and it’s insane desire to replace it with it’s own version of the truth. The same idiocy that has half destroyed Europe since 1789 through fascism and communism.
So insane has the Western left become that it just does not see that militant Islam is regressive, conservative in the extreme and hostile to the liberal Westerners world view.
We ,the traditional conservative majority in this country grasp this but our over educated and guilt ridden left cannot do so without giving up their gnostic view of the world and the place of humans in it..

That is why the prime qualification for Climate Change expertise in the BBC is a 2.2 degree at best in E. Lit., as Climate Cgange is all about re-structuring society to the Marxist mould.

On the alliance between the left and Islam, this is a fascinating clip, I watched yesterday from a talk given last month in Austria by a counter-terrorism expert called Stephen Coughlin. He used to be in the army and then worked as a trainer for the government, until the Obama administration had all the truth tellers about Islamic terrorism fired.

In the talk, he neatly gives the reasons and the means the left and by extension Islam via the Muslim Brotherhood are trying to detsroy western civilisation by attacking western thinking: specifically the use of reason, via relativism and politica correctness. That’s what he specifically focuses on in this, the 7th part.

Highly recommended. A little bit of context is missing and I would recommend then watching it from the start. You can find all the videos through the sidebar and clicking on the user’s channel.

If you cannot discriminate colours then our world is monochrome. Without any discrimination of language we are dumb or deaf. Independence is achieved through discrimination usiing our intelligence and an awareness that no two things can be equal (unless identical). That all things are the ‘same’ is a Marxist proposition whilst the Liberal think that two ‘unnatura’l things can be ‘made to look the same’ – thus claim to be equal and anybody who disagrees must be charged with ‘discrimination’ to keep the false equality of everything. Deny a man discrimination then he has no intelligence or cultural identity. Its very clever. Deny a mans right to discriminate, so he becomes oblivious to political corruption or remains quiet to the fact that Marxism is highly discriminatory of dissenters.

What a strange commentary on our present state.

The other thing is that the NAACP are racist to the core. Not only do they campaign for Blacks only, they employ Blacks only, they get money from Whites only, as well they threw this Transrace women out of her job, once they knew she was White.

How racist can the NAACP get?

Yes, the commercial sector TV technical union – forget its name – employed her and gave her a leg up – she was a bit lighter then – to become an MP. Chosen purely on her race. Oh, and being a woman. Wasn’t actually required to work. Purely affirmative action like Barry and Michelle.

Somewhere on this site someone posted a very good video about cultural Marxism, pointing out that it is not a conspiracy, but more of an ideology that has gripped leftish people and stands behind identity politics and PC. I would correct any misapprehension that it is a plot from leftish philosophers but rather they (include the frankfurt School here) were reflecting on existing reality. Philosophy is nachdenken: the ‘owl of Minerva taking its flight at dusk’. But the revolution based on identity politics, where all identities are morally relative, flounders on Islam. The left attempt to include this seventh century madness as a cultural equal is that very contradiction that spells self destruction. It will not be a counter conspiracy that brings the BBC down; it will be its own doctrines fully applied, when ISIS butchers BBC reporters and their followers.

In my view the BBC was taken over by the left 40 or 50 years ago and has been acting against British culture and identity, particularly English culture and identity, ever since. At the same time the corporation has been attempting to move the centre of gravity of politics to the left. On both counts they have made considerable progress. Had Labour not been led by the Mad Marxist I think they would have won, despite being unfit to govern as demonstrated by the last 13 year long debacle. This victory would have largely been due to the unremitting leftist propaganda put out by the BBC.
The left in Britain hates its own country and regards anyone who opposes their drive to a multi ethnic leftist state and culture, as being a Neandertaler. The BBC is staffed with a majority of people who take this view of the rest of us despite the fact that we pay their wages.
We can only hope that Mr Whittingdale makes some changes that clip the wings of the BBC. Preferably going the whole hog and making it a subscription service. It can then merge with the Guardian , from which it is hardly distinguishable in any case.
However we should recognise that whilst the BBC is a powerful propaganda machine there are other institutions which have tilted alarmingly to the left in recent decades eg the judiciary , the police, most of the arts organisation, all of the educational establishment ( Mr Gove’s blob) . These, and other institutions, have been filled with leftists over the years and it will take great determination to rid the country of them. Only Tories might attempt to attack the entrenched leftist bias in these institutions but even the Tories have moved leftwards over the past 20 years. Although the Chancellor does seem to be made of the right stuff and we must hope that he becomes PM asap.

Quite right. What you are describing is ‘the long march through the institutions’ – a phrase coined by the German student radical (and outright nutter) Rudi Dutschke, who was following the Frankfurt Shool (the inventors of ‘Cultural Marxism’) and his fellow nutter, Gramsci.

Though Dutschke’s life was a failure, his ideas have been absorbed by the verminous multitude of Guardian-reading clowns who staff most of our institutions.

There is some debate about whether Dutschke actually meant ‘entryism’ but that is pretty much what happened and his phrase sums it up perfectly.

How we are going to remove this malignancy from British society is, to my mind, the greatest question so far this century.

Close down social sciences, politics and humanities departments in all further education institutions. It can be done using the reason that money has to go for Health care, housing, and infrastructure engineering.

      Doublethinker- you are absolutely right.
It shows how even the most independently minded of us have been shifted leftwards in some sort of political Doppler effect, that reading books and articles and letters of 50 or 60 years ago gives one a series of little uncomfortable shocks, as one realises that the assumptions of the average intelligent Briton were what is now virtually unmentionable.
And then, when you consider what they were assuming, you realise that it’s what has been the common accepted norm since Classical times.

I realise there are poor news days, but is a white woman masquerading as a black woman important enough to be a story at all? The BBC’s obsession with race, and how in their self-loathing liberal eyes we are supposed to be in a permanent state of guilt about anything concerning race is second only to their obsession with Islam.
Do they have teams of researchers whose only function is to drag up every piece of insignificant trivia they can find on race, just to keep us on message?

As I was having a quick scan of the Mail in WH Smith,I saw Nick coming towards the paper stand. I thought, I would bet a year’s wages he would go for the Guardian, & lo & behold he didn’t fail me. I guess he didn’t have time to swing past, Broadcasting House to grab his free copy.

As opposed to Libya and Iraq-caused by whitey Yankees…and Egypt-think that was Tintin!

Oh-if only the Syrians could have been persuaded to seal their landfill, and used eco-degradable whisky bottles-all of this could have been avoided.
    As Enoch says…mad…literally mad!

“The answer is simple; when Muslims abandon the obligation of Jihad, preferring a life of ease, concentrating on worldly gains and pleasure we face degradation, ridicule, enslavement, humiliation and consequently all our affairs are corrupted.”

This sounds like something my old curate said back in 1986 when he saw my new trainers and thought they were offensive!

I’m not sure the BBC are pro-religion in any way. And that’s the difference – just because the BBC doesn’t give Christianity any privilege above other religions, I’m sure that we native Brits would see that as being pro Islam or anti-Christian. As we live in a Christian nation, Christianity does get privileges, not only above other religions, but in society in general, and we take those privileges for granted.

“….that the extremists and their views should become ‘acceptable’ and even more worrying that these organisations are in fact representative of the Muslim community as a whole….in other words they are not ‘extremists’ or people who pervert the religion, and far from being ‘outside’ the community they are the voice of it.”

Hasn’t this already happened with the IRA? (In respect to entering discussions with such people)

The real, and very dangerous, consequence of the BBC’s coverage of Islam is the systematic disenfranchisement, indeed, obliteration, of any secular Muslim-heritage opinion. To the extent that the rest of us believe that the entire culture is just a religious abomination. It is not – I have several friends who are from various Middle East countries who are just not believers. Do they get a voice? No. Contrary to the understandable opinions of many, the idea of a ‘secular Muslim’ is not an oxymoron, any more than the notion of a secular Jew, or indeed, as is the vast majority of this country’s population, secular Christian.
If we offered asylum to anyone, we should offer it first of all to avowed apostates, not ‘moderate’ religious believers – now there’s an oxymoron.. We need to encourage anyone who has the courage to say ‘boo’ to the death cult and it’s pale ‘moderate’ mirrors.
I would really be interested in what you all think, as it seems to me a totally overlooked aspect of the situation, at least by the BBC.
