Stoned? He Must Have Been!

Some idle amusement on the bank holiday for you….

Good idea of the week….

Labour leader Ed Miliband unveils Labour's pledges carved into a stone plinth in Hastings during General Election campaigning

Is this the real idea…..Red Ed rebuilds the Berlin Wall?…

FILE - In this Nov. 11, 1989 file photo, East German border guards are seen through a gap in the Berlin wall after demonstrators pulled down a segment of the wall at Brandenburg gate, Berlin. The Berlin Wall is gone, but people can still tag their memories upon it online. The Berlin Twitter Wall, which went online Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009 encourages people to share their memories of the wall's collapse and hopes for the future on a scrolling wall using Twitter, the social networking site. (AP Photo/Lionel Cironneau, File)

Perhaps he should try Hadrians wall.

Better idea of the week….. what the SNP are announcing they intend to set in stone once in government on both sides of the border….The Miliband surrender….

Ed’s been to a doctor from ‘our’ NHS suffering from stress and the doc has given him a big tablet.

He’s lucky. If the Tories get back in there may not be too much of the NhS left. Check out the Rose report for its condemnation of Lansley’s reorganisation and the total mess he’s made of the management structure. Whatever happens there will have to be a massive reorganisation in the next Parliament. The Tories will undoubtedly pay for this by selling more off to the privateers.

There has never been more satisfaction high ratings of the NHS, including me who had heart intervention stent late last year and I can vouch for those good ratings. Different story in Wales from my Aunty though and also Mid Staffs clients might have something to say about that. Wonder why?

‘Says some individuals are seen as ‘untouchable’ ‘

Different report, different management structure? No need to change, hence no need for more unique funding?

Of course it is important such things take all the time possible during difficult times.

Labour ‘privatised’ (I think you actually mean ‘outsourced’) more in their 13 years than the Tories have done – fact.

And exactly what do you call the use of PFIs under Brown where any private contractor could go along and pick up 30 years’ worth of blank cheques for building and running ‘our’ NHS hospitals? Government procurement under Labour was typical of their approach to spending – ‘Who gives a stuff about value for money we’ll just keep taxing and borrowing’.

Then, waddya know ‘There’s no money’.

        Q E fucking D.

The photograph above shows the ‘stone’ engraved with ‘CONTROLS ON IMMIGRATION – It wasn’t that long ago that Labor supporters were using cries of ‘racisists’ when UKIP were calling for the same. Where is our bunny laroche now, or whats more, the ‘clapped out bus man’, or even AL Beeb ?
Would I be correct in saying that all the parties are now adopting UKIP policies?

    • Angrymanupnorth says:

      No, you would be incorrect.

Because the other parties don’t wish to leave the EU. They are pretending to adopt UKIP policies. In other words, they are lying.

In this case, carved in stone rather than cast in iron or frozen in a block of ice.

I guess Labour and Conservative have similar PR advisors. What a sorry state of affairs.

It has taken the BBC website a long time to pick up on this story (late Sunday evening), perhaps they were hoping it would just go away. Or is it that it is not obviously covered by their print arm, theguardian, from which they must take their lead

      Didn’t it just?

Must say I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall on the post-launch, postmortem debrief between ‘leader’ Ed and the bright sparks who persuaded him to give this one ago.

Just how deranged are they all?

It’s all boring, patronising Déjà vu.

It’s the same meaningless “promises” they’ve made for the last 3-4 elections and none of it ever gets done, by any of them.

And it’s as vague as a hippy on pot.

Pat Condell has a great video on Youtube this past week where he sums the whole matter up.

Mind you, the BBC bias is as bad as ever on the news page tonight.

“Labour carves pledges into giant stone”.

“Would a Tory government create chaos” asks Nick Robinson.

Oh, and has anyone else noticed how the BBC always give Ed Miliband the position of prominence when placed with the other party leaders?.

      Our pledge:

      1. We have a plan, a Five point plan.
      2. I won’t promise anything because I want to be the first Prime Minister to over-achieve.
      3. The NHS will be safe in our hands.
      4. So will the debt. Or the deficit.
      5. Tories are nasty.

      Labour. Signed Od Milibrand.

They’ll stone ya when you’re tryin’ to keep your seat.
They’ll stone ya when you’re walkin’ on the floor.
They’ll stone ya when you’re walkin’ to the door.
But I would not feel so all alone,
    Everybody must get stoned.

This reminds me of the Seven Commandments in Animal Farm:

Here are three of them before:

No animal shall ever kill any other animal.
No animal shall ever sleep in a bed.
    No animal shall drink alcohol.

    After the pigs take over:
No animal shall ever kill any other animal without cause.
No animal shall ever sleep in a bed with sheets.
No animal shall drink alcohol to excess.

Eventually, there is just one commandment:
ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL BUT SOME ANIMALS
    ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS.

Could someone please clarify something for me?
Are Cameron & Millipede in some kind of “I’m a bigger, more untrustworthy git than you” competition? First we have “Honest Dave”, who quite obviously knows that the voting public see straight through his lying, conniving “long term economic plan”, and his “difficult decisions” etc etc; so much so, that he feels the need to introduce new laws to attempt to gain our trust! (Laws which could be overturned as quickly as they are created).
Then along comes the Millipede with his “carved in stone” policies, REALLY, ED? Well it must be true if it’s written down eh?
Perhaps we all, as voters need to toss a collective coin to decide which of these two IDIOTS we put our faith in. And hopefully, the coin will land on its edge so we can finally be rid of both of them. Leaving the door open for Nigel Farage & UKIP, the only honest party in the running!
Face it Ed & Dave, your days are surely numbered, as we ALL know your ultimate selfish goal is nothing more than to boost your own egos whilst on your political power trip; ignoring the things that actually matter to the majority of the electorate who are not rich enough to matter, in your elitist plans for OUR country.
