The BBC tells us that ‘These Muslims are fasting…and its not Ramadan’ to show solidarity with Christians.’
Really? In what way are they ‘fasting’?
What are the big sacrifices they are making ‘in solidarity with Christians‘?
Sweets, cheese, no online shopping, Instagram…and the man who organised it…he’s giving up sour cream and onion crisps….for a while.
We’re told by a Christian ‘interfaith activist’ that they are showing a different side to Islam to how it is portrayed in the Media…challenging people’s perceptions, myths and fears.
The Muslims tells us that it is an “initiative with the goal of uniting Muslims and changing our perception through positive social, and interfaith action.”
So in other words it has nothing to do with ‘solidarity with Christians’ but all to do with trying to make people think Islam is wonderful.
It’s outright propaganda for the Muslim religion, a ‘Trojan Horse’ if you like.
Good of the BBC to put it on the Frontpage especially at Easter when we hear what other Muslims think is the real face of Islam rather than what we hear in the Media….the BBC and the Guardian….. Muslims may be taking the opportunity to flock to ISIS….. about which this is an interesting comment….
However, police have not been told of the families’ concerns as the schools do not want their pupils to be criminalised.

But neither the parents nor the school go to the police.

If the wars in Iraq & Afghanistan were Christian in origin, they would have to have the blessing of the Vatican, at the least.
What you are implying is that they were latter day Crusades. Then at the least, these Christian warriors should have demolished infidel mosques, and forcibly converted Muslims to Christianity or pay the equivalent of Jizya.
Even the early Crusaders did not do that, though they had evident reason to do so, considering that Islamic invaders did precisely that – mass slaughter of Christians, convert or die, or pay the Jizya.

I live in the borough of rochdalistan, since the boundary changes the town where I live, Middleton, has been dragged down to their level. My council tax has probably gone toward paying them to go.

Wouldn’t it be easier for the BBC to to get an ‘Asian’ TV channel, then it could put out all the news about ‘our’ people going on holiday to Syria, ‘Islamists’ doing nasty things and all the other stuff that has ‘nothing to do with Islam’ on that and BBC Asian Network.
All of the ‘Asian’ girls doing the news and sports(!) now could move onto these two media outlets and, just to keep the rest of us out, it could all be done in Urdu.
That would then allow the BBC/Politicians to complete the genocide of the British out of the lime light as we watch ‘Strictly’ and ‘Clarkson’ on the traditional channels. Sort of like lambs to halal slaughter.

Extrapolation is always dodgy, but IMO the atrocities of ISIS and the oppression of Saudi Arabia will hopefully encourage many “moderate Muslims” to abandon the teachings of their 7th century warriors’ guide and quit that faith altogether.
We need to reach the turning point where the trickle of apostates can become a flood whthout fear of the death penalty.

Sorry to sound churlish and all that. The muslim guy in the photo seems a canny fella and all that and his heart is in the right place but surely the best way for our muslim brethren to show solidarity with us Christians is to stop blowing us up. Maybe stop raping our daughters and burning our churches threatening our families and then perhaps we’ll get the message that you truely are the religion of peace.
