Here’s Jonny!

Paul Adams twitter Masharawi

The BBC’s Jon Donnision is back in Gaza despite not having a very good reputation or track record when reporting from there previously…this is one of his efforts and is worthy of some scrutiny as he reported on the death of a friend and colleague Jihad Mashhrawic’s baby…

Note although the man’s name is actually spelt ‘Jihad’ Donnison has changed the spelling to Jehad….for obviously ‘political’ reasons…….

Jehad Mashhrawi with Omar

Gaza baby ‘only knew how to smile’

Standing in what is left of his burnt-out home this week, Jehad showed me a photo on his mobile phone.

It was of a cheeky, chunky, round-faced little boy in denim dungarees, chuckling in a pushchair, dark-eyed with a fringe of fine brown hair pushed across his brow.

“He only knew how to smile,” Jehad told me, as we both struggled to hold back the tears.

Most likely is that Omar died in the one of the more than 20 bombings across Gaza that the Israeli military says made up its initial wave of attacks.

Omar was not a terrorist.

Donnison and his colleagues all immediately blamed Israel for the death and spread the story around the world

Unfortunately that was a lie:

UN verifies that BBC reporter’s son was killed by Hamas

On 14 November, a woman, her 11-month-old infant, and an 18-year-old adult in Al-Zaitoun were killed by what appeared to be a Palestinian rocket that fell short of Israel.69 In addition, OHCHR received reports related to an incident in which two civilians, including a child, were killed, and five persons, including three children, were injured, as a result of what appeared to be a Palestinian rocket that fell short and hit a house in Al-Quds Street, near Khilla Gas Station, Jabalya, on 16 November.

Back in the present Donnison continues the good work on Twitter:

The return of the BBC’s Jon Donnison and his tall Twitter tales

And isn’t a lot better on the job proper…here subtly cheerleading for Hamas..the same report on the website and the Today programme this morning:

West Bank Palestinians politically divided, but united in anger

Donnison gives the impression that the Palestinian Authority (Western backed as Donnison slips in), and Fatah by extension, are not popular in the Palestinian territories…..he tells us that the PA might be considered collaborators with Israel…as they work together to provide security in the West Bank….no misgivings reported about Hamas though.

Donnison shows us pictures of the PA police tackling rioters..or ‘protestors’ as Donnison prefers.

He also shows the Israelis dealing with similar events but makes no mention that the Palestinians have been using live ammuniton and petrol bombs against the Israelis….hence some get shot….Donnison instead picks up a rock from the road and tells us this is what the Palestinians have been using…indeed they have….along with guns and bombs.

Donnison then tells us that the PA has failed to capture the public mood, they do not listen to the people… they don’t launch rockets into Israel presumably….that ‘people’ who ‘all’ support Hamas we are given to believe.

The whole piece is a subtle pro-Hamas piece, anti the ‘Western backed’ PA, the people ‘united in their anger’…ie against Israel which must be doing evil things...and if the PA doesn’t reflect that anger in its actions, as Hamas does, it cannot be representative of the people and their demands….and if the people support Hamas and its policies, those demands must be to rocket Israel.

We could easily conclude that Donnison is giving implied support to Hamas’ policy of rocketing Israel here….what then does he make of Hamas’ intention to wipe out Israel?

Small point, and likely insignificant overall, but it threw me initially that the tweet heading this appears to be from a Paul Adams.
However Mr. D’s body of work, especially the bodies body variety, is as extensive as it is dire, and known to be.
Which makes it odd that he has been brought back to the fun factory to share his unique form of events interpretation and narrative enhancing.
I had presumed the BBC could no longer work around his ME efforts and in true money-no-object style had shunted him off out of mind to a nice little R&R slot down under.
Where, of course, he proceeded to lash out across his rather narrow ideological repertoire about his host beat, and of course still managed to lob a few in about the old haunts too.
Mind you, this is a corporation who seems to think the best editorial lead is a non native-speaking Israelphobe (historical reasons irrelevant, and no excuse now) to show they can truly be trusted with objective news from there.
Probably best to leave him there; his competence and self-restraint will serve the BBC’s tanking reputation poorly and may accelerate their credibility plummet.

      Indeed.
I never quite understood even domestically how death by means other than stone, knife, bar, fist, kick, petrol or acid was proportionate, but defending against such attack with a bit of official kit was suddenly enough for major flounce time in media world.
Maybe Mishal Hussain’s Bookie Wookie of Moral Equivalence has a chart of how many terminated by what means in the ‘acceptable losses’ column equates to what in the ‘One Woman’s Freedom Fighter’ roll of honour?

If pictures of dead babies and horribly wounded children excite (dare I say sexually excite) BBC programme makers I suggest they publish some of the many pictures of children burnt alive, hearts ripped out, decapitated, raped, etc which appear daily on You Tube often with healthy looking young men standing nearby chanting allah akibar. Or is it only muslim victims that appeal to the BBC?
Sadly, we have to conclude that the daily flood of child victims from the BBC is akin to the anti semitic propaganda from the Nazis during the 1930s

    Jonny’s baaaack…
    http://bbcwatch.org/2014/07/29/bbcs-jon-donnison-misrepresents-pflp-fighter-commander-as-charity-worker/
    Facts Donnis-on…
‘Jon Donnison’s ‘charity worker’ as “fighter commander”.’
    Facts Donnis-off…
‘Donnison failed to inform BBC audiences that the two Palestinians killed were shooting live ammunition at the police officers present at the time ‘
Seems a real catch to regain for the BBC’s on the ground ‘reporting’ team.
But there must be concern that such context is consigned to diligent but niche sites enjoying little profile and small audiences, whilst Lord Pantone continues his ‘you’re all doing very well’ Young Mr. Grace impression of an astoundingly uncurious BBC top-tier market second rater atop a £4Bpa propaganda machine.

Donnison was in Gaza at the beginning of the Israeli ground operation.
The Israelis were warning everyone to vacate a particular location, I think Shejaiya, which was a Hamas stronghold.

It never entered Donnison’s head that the warning was for people’s own safety and protection, Oh no. Donnison was in full flow about how the Israelis ‘don’t want us to see what they were doing’

For your information Donnison, more reputable reporting provided the truth about Shejaiya. As the Israeli Golani brigade entered the area, the Hamas terrorists utilised civilian cover to the maximum effect firing from homes and public buildings. As the Israelis moved forward slowly to minimise casualties amongst the arabs, hundreds of Hamas terrorists emerged from tunnels to the rear of the Golani brigade and cut them off. The Israelis were ordered to get into their Namer personnel carriers whilst troops further back laid down a mortar and artillery barrage against the Hamas terrorists. The Namer can withstand mortar and light artillery, but unfortunately not the anti tank rocket fired by the Hamas terrorists which killed seven Israeli soldiers.
The Israeli mortar and artillery barrage caught many of the terrorists in the open and wasted them. They, of course, will turn up as ‘civilian casualties’

But then Donnison is typical of the BBC ‘war correspondent’, unable to tell the truth, unlike other news outlets which have confirmed that their reporters have been threatened by the Hamas terrorists for pointing out that they have been firing from behind civilian shields and that their own misfiring rockets are responsible for many of the deaths.

If you relied solely upon the BBC for your news what a distorted view of the world you’d have.

In due course we will hopefully see more detail – and more accuracy – on the dead and injured.

In particular – how many were aged 15 to 40, so more likely to be combatants.

And of the “civilians” including children – how many were in areas that should have been evacuated after the 48-hour warnings. And how many in buildings that the IDF had given various warnings to evacuate.

You also need to factor in what number of terrorist rockets and mortars fell inside Gaza rather than reaching Israel.

BBCWatch points out how Donnison presented a sob-story piece seeking sympathy for a “charity worker” who turns out to be a bloody terrorist !

It is as if the BBC people are competing among each other to see who can get away with the most twisted biased pro-Hamas stories – Donnison, Pannell, Knell, Guerin, Adams and of course Bowen have each been shown during this conflict to have presented highly tendentious / lying reports.

And ALL their “errors” or omissions are in one direction. Against Israel. The BBCWatch website has been listing and analysing in detail every day really serious breaches by the BBC. This is quite apart from their tendency to use nil-context child-casualty-porn as a stick to attack Israel by inflaming feelings.

These BBC lies are brainwashing UK audiences, and are also being spread around the world. And – we are being forced to pay for the bias and lies.

During the cold war, we prepared to fight a total war agaisnt the Soviets, in which we would nuke them into the Stone age

During its foray into Chetneya,(2nd time) Russia bombed the Muslims into..the Stone age.

When Iraq fought Kuwait, Iran,Kurds,Marsh people it fought a total war.

When Pakistan fought in East Pakistan, it fought a total war.

When Turkey carried out Genocide in Armenia, it fought a total war.

Inside Syria (Not tainted by America or UK) both sides are waging….Total war in which to wipe out the other

Yet with Israel not doing that, she is apparently worse than all of the above. What has really caught my ear is how how the Israel haven’t took no notice of the liberal media have continued to treat Hamas as Hamas has been treating them. Seeing that Israel isn’t going to back down, Hamas has been using the bBC to parrot the line that only children and little old ladies are dying. Has anybody else noticed that the bBC does not mention Hamas terrorists/fighters/militants dying.
If that is so, who is killing all these jewish soldiers? Who is launching missiles in their thousands

Regards the bombing of the Gaza power plant, the bBC reports:
For the last three weeks, most Gazans have been living with just a few hours of electrical supplies – now the situation will almost certainly get worse.

Here’s something the bBC isn’t telling:
Gaza’s sole power station supplies about 30 percent of Gaza’s electricity; 10 lines from Israel supply about 62 percent; and two lines from Egypt about eight percent.

So let me get this right, Gaza attacks Israel, Israel supplies Gaza with over 50% of its Electricity. Yeah those fucking evil Jews how dare they?

The bBC, the reason behind the huge increase in Anti-Semitism in the UK.

Excerpt from above link, by Robert Spencer, ‘Jihadwatch’–

“Western reporters know this, but don’t give it much attention. Why not? Why, that might offend Hamas, as it would reinforce Israeli claims that they’re deliberately trying to provoke civilian casualties. And we can’t have that, now, can we? ‘Top Secret Hamas Command Bunker in Gaza Revealed,’ Tablet, July 29, 2014:

“The idea that one of Hamas’ main command bunkers is located beneath Shifa Hospital in Gaza City is one of the worst-kept secrets of the Gaza war. So why aren’t reporters in Gaza ferreting it out? The precise location of a large underground bunker equipped with sophisticated communications equipment and housing some part of the leadership of a major terrorist organization beneath a major hospital would seem to qualify as a world-class scoop—the kind that might merit a Pulitzer, or at least a Polk.

“So why isn’t the fact that Hamas uses Shifa Hospital as a command post making headlines? In part, it’s because the location is so un-secret that Hamas regularly meets with reporters there.”
