What? No Concrete?

The BBC has often opined that Gaza is destitute and failing, lacking resources to build its infrastructure…indeed it highlights Ban Ki-Moon trying to blame the Israeli blockade for the rocket attacks on Israel:

Mr Ban is due to travel to Israel for talks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and meetings with Palestinian officials in the West Bank.

Mr Ban said he appreciated Israel’s right to defend itself, but said restrictions on Gaza should be lifted “so that people should not resort to this kind of violence as a way of expressing their grievances”.

The blockade is of course a response to those very rocket attacks…so Moon’s logic fails me there. Good though that such a deep thinker is at the head of the United Nations in charge of peace negotiations.

The BBC frequently tells us that Gazan civilians have no where to go to take cover when the fighting begins.

But that’s just not true is it?

For a start thousands of Gazans fled to UN controlled safe areas, in agreement with Israel.

Second, instead of investing in the people of Gaza Hamas has been building a large number of tunnels, lined with concrete, some up to one mile long.

They took years to plan and build.

With all those resources Hamas has used to build these tunnels to attack Israel they could have used to build schools, homes or indeed bomb shelters.

The tunnels themselves could be used as shelters if Hamas were so concerned about their civilians.

Or indeed Hamas could just stop bombing Israel and killing Israelis and there would be no need for shelters, no need for a blockade and Palestinians could get on with their lives turning the rat trap of Gaza into a thriving society as Israel has done with its own land even whilst under 65 years of Muslim attacks designed to wipe it off the face of the earth.

Reckon we`ve got our MacAlpine Fusiliers here who could build our HS2 tunnels relatively cheaply.
    They`re clearly good with concrete.

Even without war the idea of a successful Gaza is a long shot. Some talk of Gaza as the new Switzerland or the new Riviera but what chance is there of that?

Muslim strictures against lending money for interest make it unattractive for banking. Bans, that will be enforced, against gambling, alcohol, sex out of marriage and female semi-nudity by which I mean bikinis make it unattractive to the Western tourist and I suspect the Eastern one as well. No deep-water port or airport make its trading future bleak. I suppose they could be built but who would invest the billions and why? Who would they be trading with?

Hamas’s ambitions extend way further than Gaza. If they succeed Gaza will be then as now a backwater which someone, the BBC would demand it of Israel, would have to support.

Yes it is a long shot but I imagine the Gazans et al might at least like Hamas to give them the chance.

As for Islamic banking holding back development you are entirely wrong….How do I know? Richard Bacon had on a Muslim banking ‘expert’ today…to cut a long story short the world would be a much better place if it turned to Islam for its banking services…he couldn’t actually name a commercial benefit but it was ‘holistic’, you just feel better…neither could he detail the faults in Sharia law…he said he was not a Sharia expert…however…again…he said the world would be a better place if we adopted Sharia. I’m guessing he must have been guessing about that as he’s no ‘expert’ on Sharia, at least when it came to answering awkward questions about the bad things in Islam…which fair do’s to Bacon he kept on at him about.

I remember after the Israeli withdrawal, Gaza was left with a large acreage of glasshouses which had been bought for them with the idea that they could have a successful industry. They smashed the glass houses to smithereens. Successful Gaza? It is not what Hamas want.

Yes, there was a huge thriving business exporting fruit, veg and flowers worldwide and the whole infrastructure was left intact by the departing Israelis. It was all demolished in a matter of days by the new owners. And don’t forget, Hamas were not in control then.
The wanton destruction was carried out by the Palestinians in the street, but what else can you expect when all their life, through childhood and beyond, all they are taught is hatred and destruction. Destruction of property or destruction of life, it is all the same to them providing it is something Jewish being destroyed.

Over the last few days I have heard outright expressions of loathing of Israel and the Jewish people. Barely bothering to disguise their hatred anymore. The concerted media offensive against Israel has made this sort of talk respectable. It is anti Semitism pure and simple and to be on the receiving end of it is appalling. Whatever the cost we must not let it pass.
It is the great cause of the left. To bring israel to destruction. Oh they don’t put it like that but that is what they want .
All that really stands in their way is the IDF and the will of the young men and women to fight to survive. Make no mistake the end game of Hamas and the Western left is the destruction of a people and a nation.

As cheap as when you wrote comments as “roy” and “bob” to add fuel to the personal attacks you’d already made against me as “stuart”? As I’ve said before, if they weren’t you, then not only have they never posted before or since, but they shared EXACTLY the same punctuation and capitalisation issues you have in your typing, and the same inability to reply directly to the comment you refer to. The chances of those similarities being coincidental is zero.

So you obviously know what you’re talking about when it comes to people concocting fake names.

I, however, am not “T”. As I suspect you know damned well, and are only making the claim in order to troll. I suppose I should feel sorry for someone who feels he has to lie about me to validate his own existence, rather than laughing at him… I’ll let you wonder which I am doing.

” you wrote comments as “roy” and “bob”
The algorithm you use that arrives at such certainty, like much in BBC reporting, ranging from doubt to certainty, caveat to claim, seems more personal opinion arriving at the desired belief.
Along with the ability to have a false flag to discredit (if it were needed) your contributions, which seem seldom to be on any topic than yourself.

But somehow I’m the disruptive one? Even in the warped world of Biased BBC, that’s a stretch.

And it’s funny – when you search the comments on this site, “Lord Earls Court” does nothing but make derogatory comments, usually to me. I suspect it’s an alias in use by someone who regularly posts under another name, but is too much of a coward to admit how much of a rancid little homophobe he is. At the very least, he’s a disruptive little troll. But he’s a homophobic, right-wing nutcase of a troll, so Biased BBC welcomes in with open arms. Because if you’re a foul little individual with no comprehension of basic human decency, Vance and his similarly morally deficient acolytes will roll out the red carpet.

No, I don’t. But that doesn’t stop you from feeling that calling me a “jug-eared twat” is somehow acceptable behaviour. And to be fair, it does seem to be on Biased BBC, as long as you’re as prejudiced and hypocritical as the prevailing worldview exhibited so often on this site.

Funny, isn’t it – apparently I’m always the insulting one, yet people like Andy S, F*** the Beeb, Pounce, David Brims et al are never, ever, pulled up on their behaviour by those who seem to feel they police this site. And then those same people get very annoyed when their hypocritical attitude to personal abuse is called out.

Let me repeat: your use of insulting language is not my fault. It’s yours. Stop using me as an excuse for your inability to behave like a decent human being.

Scott is the HAMAS of the Biased BBC website. He spends hours throwing barbs at the site owners and commentors, and when they respond (in kind) after much provocation he turns into a little princess and claims everyone is picking on him.

Scott – I did read the Digital Spy thread. It pretty much shows that you – and your “friends” are all of the same ilk; defender of anything involving sequins, musicals, Judy Garland etc. In short, you defend the BBC because without it, you wouldn’t have anything to watch. Too much rough stuff on the other channels isn’t there.

“Wilfully chose to lie about it” – is that the same as denying it ever existed in the first place like you did when I first mentioned your Digital Spy thread? In fairness to you, you just followed your employers (BBC’s) suppression of facts by omission scenario, whereby even when there’s documentary proof, you still deny the evidence.

Does it make me a lesser man – no, I don’t think so. But then, I live life in the real world, not in a fantasy land somewhere over the rainbow.

Carry on repeating your tired little mantras all you like. You and I both know that it won’t make you any less sad as a person.

So lying about me, saying I’ve abused you when I haven’t, doesn’t deserve an apology? Well, this is Biased BBC where lying is alright if you’re a right-wing, BBC-hating ideologue who needs the foundations of your own shaky prejudice propping up, so I can see why you might think that lying about me doesn’t deserve an apology.

In the real world, though, people with brains, hearts and courage would differ.

thats that.i am done with you.

One can only hope. Does that promise extend to your alter egos “bob” and “roy” too?
