No peace with Israel, no recognition of Israel, no negotiations with Israel

Hamas bombards Israel and refuses to agree a cease fire

That’s one headline the BBC could have, should have, written…instead they chose this one:

Gaza conflict: Israel restarts air strikes amid rocket fire

Here’s the front page…once again the emphasis is on Israel and Israel is presented as the ‘aggressor’ in the headline:

No peace with Israel, no recognition of Israel, no negotiations with Israel

The headlines matter because many people don’t read any further and even if they do they can influence how they ‘read’ the report.

In this case the BBC’s headlines will just confirm the opinions of those who think Israel is set on murdering every Palestinian and they won’t read any more…a different headline may encourage them to read further and learn more about the real situation and take a less partisan approach in viewing things… dyed-in-the-wool ‘anti-Zionists’ won’t be persuaded whatever but some less hardcore critics may well think things aren’t quite as black and white as they had previously thought or been led to believe.

Here’s Rod Liddle in the Spectator:

Will the BBC accept that Hamas wants to kill lots of Jews?

A fairly typically partisan report on the Israel and Palestine crisis last night
on the BBC ten O Clock News. The focus was entirely on the killed or injured
Palestinians, referred to exclusively as ‘civilians’; the point was made, at
the top of the report, that Hamas had killed nobody. Yes, but only because
Hamas is utterly useless: it clearly WANTS to kill lots of people, which is
why, on a daily basis, it bungs over the rockets – indiscriminately – in an
attempt to do so. The rockets which precipitated this crisis. We are enjoined
to have sympathy for the Palestinians and treat the Israelis with odium because
the former are murderous and incompetent and the latter murderous and adept. It
is an infantile sensibility.

And more headlines:

The LA Times:

Hamas keeps up rocket attacks after Israel agrees to ceasefire

From Yahoo:

Hamas rejects Egypt truce offer, fires rockets

From CNN:

Cease-fire collapses, Israel responds to Hamas attacks ..

Its about time the balen report was leaked to show just what scum the BBC are and that the charter is null and void. I for one hate the way a so called news organization can constantly put their spin on news and nothing is done to stop them.
If only Nigel said they would get rid of the TV tax there would be hope for us all.

Have to agree. Israel hits Gaza as truce bid fails gives a totally different impression from Hamas hits Israel as truce bid fails.

Apparently Turkey and Qatar want to act as mediators. If and when the BBC gets around to reporting it will they note that Turkey has gone out of its way to demonise Israel and Qatar has no diplomatic relations with Israel – or will they focus with a headline like Israel rejects peace proposals?

If all of you feel so strongly , the important thing to do is to email a complaint to the BBC or you can even write by snail mail by recorded delivery. I received a response once to a particularly odious documentary condemning Israel “an unusually large number of complaints from your side were received” How many was large ………? Precisely 12!!! Please as well as reporting here send an email to the BBC as I know some of you do.

        Lynette, you are absolutely right.
I once elicited a correction on the BBC website by a polite letter that was promptly answered.
Unusual (both me being polite and the Beeb responding promptly), but it happens.

The anti-Semitic bBC continues being the propaganda mouth piece for radical Islam:
The Egyptians using a provocative anti-Hamas hashtag
A highly-charged discussion is taking place on social media in the Arab world – especially in Egypt – on the hashtag “The Enemy’s Name is Hamas”. Coming several days into a surge in fighting between Israel and Palestinian militants in Gaza, which is dominated by Hamas, there’s no doubt that this hashtag is provocative.

The bBC picks out Eygpt for recognising that Hamas aren’t the peaceful victims they claim to be and go all out in which to paint the Egyptians as…evil.

But some in the Arab world have expressed shock at the level of condemnation of Hamas

Which is why the bBC end with:
“The enemy is the one who created this hashtag – the one who stands with the Jew against the Muslim.”

The bBC, the traitors within our midst

I hate the way the BBC use this phrase…”But some…..”

Really?….so who are these “Some” BBC?

ISIS?…Al-Qaeda?…Muslim Brotherhood?…or just the plain old, sandal sniffing, Muslim appeasing BBC themselves?

      Arseholes.

The NYT is well known for being a leftist newspaper, so this goes to show how more to the left the BBC actually are – in Livingstone territory, in fact.

could you of imagined in world war 2 general patton or montgomery phoning up general rommel before the invasion of normandy and saying heh chaps can you evacuate france before we invade and attack your army,no no no,but heh,the isreali army are doing exactly that in the gaza strip pleading with hamas to evacuate there citixens before the idf destroy the hamas scud missile and rocket launchers.no army in the world would give warning before an attack and to me the idf and the isreali army have to be the most decent and caring armed forces in the world who unlike the hamas terrorists care about the safety of civilians.that the bbc never report.

Just read some damning coverage of the BBC’s on the ground propaganda for Hamas ‘News’ from BBC Watch, and now this.
For sure CECUTT will be working overtime with the usual ‘we are comfortable in our belief that the BBC has reflected the situation accurately the satisfaction of all’, but such overwhelming evidence of desperation in writing such as this must surely seem them brought down?
This is deliberate, methodical, cynical ceasefire-breaking by their client, and they are still flat out trying to pull a Comical Ali.
And they can’t this time even pull the usual, risible, ‘but everyone else was doing it too’ excuse, unless the UK media’s cubicle gardens are still in lockstep.

Anat T, it makes me almost weep to see and hear the bias against Israel, especially by the BBC, which I can hardly bear to watch these days. I know there are many like me who see the propaganda for what it is; it’s certain elements in the media that won’t report honestly, for reasons that are completely beyond me. You and your countrymen really do have the support of many.

That article makes you realise (if you didn’t already) how selective the BBC is in its reporting in order to fulfil its own agenda.

Stalinist, Orwellian – call it what you will, but given the BBC’s 70% media coverage and the ‘trust’ still endowed upon it by the majority of its licence fee payers, it doesn’t feel like part of the free-speaking, open and democratic Britain I was brought up in.

I have been pointing out, via Twitter, instances of his anti-Israel bias to Jeremy Bowen. Result, he blocked me. What a piece of work he is.

Let’s hope Lyse Doucet is more open to criticism of her and her stand-ins when away from Israel. I am waiting for a response from her to a follow up to these tweeets

I was listening the BBC world service last night during bouts of insomnia, and the announcer, just before reading the “Israel restarts air strikes amid rocket fire” story, takes a microphone outside so that the listeners could here the protesters complaining about the BBC’s coverage of this conflict. But of course the protesters were complaining that it was too biased in favor of Israel. My immediate thoughts were, “It must be the other BBC staff doing the protesting – no normal person could come to this conclusion.”

Thank you ‘Seek the Truth’, a horrible example of what happens when you let in muslims in huge numbers……..they intimidate non-muslims around them, and aided by the stupid, white left-wing idiots that infest the media, education etc…impose their will on society. It is happening here in Britain, and like the French, our govt has no will to tackle it.
