19 Responses to BBC TO BRING US AL QUEDA’S BEAUTY SECRETS?

  1. Alex says:

It really is pitiable but highly worrying that the BBC feels this nonsense merits a slot on a their publicly funded website; I wonder what troops returning from the conflict in Afghanistan might think? Beyond belief! I mean are we going to get “Isis’ CD Collection Classics” next?

Where do I sign up? By the time I got to the end of the article I was ready to sell the farm and go join the Taliban in Pakistan.

But then I thought…….imagine I ‘m a reporter in Paikstan writing a Magazine piece and I come across a guy with an interesting story about selling Head & Shoulders to the Taliban….people who we hear a lot about yet seem quite alien to you or I?

I enjoyed the story. I doubt the Taleban would. And it hasn’t changed my view that the Taliban should be made extinct.

Doesn’t it rather poke fun at these hardcore Islamic extremists to know they preferred foreign or branded perfumes and bought Blue Lady by Rasasi for their wives?

I wholeheartedly disagree. Personally, I think it’s a disgrace that we have to pay for this useless crap; the BBC are paid to provide a news service that is representative of the British people – non pulp articles giving us insights into a sadistic enemy’s shopping habits! These scum are animals and we shouldn’t try to humour them. Could you imagine if you’d lost a son/daughter to these savages only to click on this article a few days later?

Well, I prefer to be treated as an adult. And more so with the website perhaps than TV or radio, you can always choose not to read it.

I don’t know what news service representative of the British people in terms of the stories covered is supposed to mean. But if I’d lost a loved one to the Taleban I’d want to know as much about them as I could. That’s perhaps were we differ.

Just as it is the BBCs duty not to give succour to terrorists neither is it it’s place to poke fun at them. It’s supposed to be a news service not a propaganda machine.

I’d settle for just the facts.

The article gives the facts. It is a fact that Rasheed Rehman said he sold Blue Lady by Rasasi to the Taleban.

At first I felt the question on newsworthiness could be referred to A. Newsroom Tealady for his expert input.
But you do raise a fair point.
Just saw on twitter that someone had hacked a Hamas site and shared pictures of the top brass suffering with the troops and locals. Not.
That said, given the blind loyalty across the BBC no matter what their gilded market rate betters get up to, it is possible they will all continue to dance to the tune of the old men, even if it is a sure route to a miserable conclusion.
Meanwhile in Syria, it is ‘feared’ (quoting Sky, if I recall) that the twins may end up with the wrong end of the stick in doing their girly bit for jihad, as it were.
Have to say, comments did not seem to be too sympathetic on their possible holiday experiences.

I’m surprised about the Head and Shoulders, after all the Taliban are always trying to separate the two.

This is what happens when you give a bunch of juvenile, self obsessed, right-on, marxists a virtually unlimited and unaccountable budget to play with.

They hate the West but they like our stuff.
There’s a lot of hypocrisy going around these days, especially at the BBC.
Wasn’t the ISIS Caliph wearing a $20,000 watch in his video?
Didn’t google reveal recently there’s a lot of internet searches for dodgy porn in Pakistan?

Near the end of that article it says the Taliban started selling off their electronic gadgets dirt cheap just before the offensive started.
So they knew it was coming then?
Spying, our Afghan allies told them, or do we give them advance warning in order to play fair?
Funny way to run a war.
What’s the point anyway since Obama already announced the day and time we’re leaving?
To win all they have to do is wait.

And I presume you wouldn’t have known any of that if you hadn’t read the article.

WTF? Aside from the titbit that the Taliban knew about the attack before it happened none of that stuff is even in that article.
Maybe you should read, and understand what you have read, before posting next time.

And all this from the broadcaster which demands that anyone accused of causing offence, no matter how bonkers the charge, should immediately perform the Dance of Self-Abasement.

It would be one thing if the BBC pushed the envelope generally, but it’s always just one side of the spectrum that gets the benefit of these Sunday supplement profiles. Meanwhile, the right gets described as ‘extremist’ but the BBC won’t actually quote anything extreme.
