It takes a certain kind of dedication to ignore all the coverage the BBC is rightly giving the D-Day comemmorations, across TV, radio and online, and pick on this as supposed evidence of the BBC’s ‘anti-Britishness’.
‘Indicative’. Excellent basis for the POETS shift weighing in.
Next thing you’ll be saying it’s not news as there is other news and it’s just not, so there.
Quisling welcomed the Nazi invasion of Norway, and that made him a traitor.
He tried to start off a Nazi-type party in his own country in the 20s and 30s, but his manifestos were soundly rejected by the voting public, his party never getting over 10% of the vote.
Poor old Jeremy Hardy, eh? If Margaret Thatcher had never lived, he’d be a street sweeper, or shovelling sh*t on a building site. He should be giving thanks to Maggie every night, before he goes to bed. Whenever he turns up on a Radio4 panel show, I think “Ah, yes – and here comes the Maggie gag in 5,4,3…”
Tasteless, seriously tasteless. I’m not surprised as that is Boyle’s raison d’etre. I just don’t listen or watch anything by Boyle, if we all did the same perhaps he’d get no more work.
But rather than investigate the complaint properly, the BBC simply try to justify the broadcast….something that approximates to, ‘we got it about right.’
The w*nkers have no shame. They aren’t remotely interested in what people think.
Somehow you just know the BBC would never broadcast a joke about the death of Bobby Sands, Mark Duggan or Yasser Arafat. But Mountbatten, Thatcher or Reagan would be fair game.
You can never quite believe what Robert Peston has to say:
He has much form going way back, like the epic documentary he did on the Labour Economic meltdown, – he even got Thatcher and Reagan to take the blame:
You would have never believed 13 years of Labour mismanagement of the economy had anything to do with the crash.
This Peston quote from the documentary proves the point:
’Thatcher and Reagan introduced a new global economy that lead to the great unravelling we’re experiencing now.’
BBC tell us about the conservative vote dieing out because of age.
I wonder if they ever put days like today together with why they are both conservative and dieing out?
Could it be that these people who fought and lived through the worst hardships, vote the way they do because they have seen the alternatives.
OMG I’ve had an epiphany! Scott has been right all along! We should just STFU and only moan about right wing bias. That way we’ll convince the Beeboids to turn on themselves and the whole sorry, er wonderful broadcasting luvviness, will implode.
How many should they send? Would 200 be enough, or would that also be too many? What if it was 350? Would that be far too many?
My point is, these type of stories are always presented as ‘BBC send xxx number of staff’. What does the average lay person know about how many it would reasonably take? How much do most people know about what’s involved in covering an event like this? How many music stages are there? how many days coverage? Is it TV and radio, and online, and Red button, how many radio stations, for how many hours?
I have no idea. I’d wager not many readers would. So how can any of us be in a position to comment on whether the staffing levels are excessive.
That’s not a defence of the BBC, it’s just something that always annoys me. The story is obviously presented in such a way as to suggest its excessive, but how can you or I know that?
Great questions Mavis (welcome by the way).
Who is qualified to ask them? And who to answer (assuming they could, or would… FOI exemptions ‘n all)?
I’m sure you are not advocating no one asks, as that would just be Lord Patten all over again, which hasn’t worked so well.
Usually market forces and/or shareholder dictate such things. But of course the territory here is very much ‘unique’.
Usually the least worse way is to compare apples with apples and how others in the market rate talent field tackle such tasks. Beyond actually tying audience interest to resources committed, sadly the BBC’s record is not great here. Even if the numbers add up on willing eyeballs, often commercial rivals appear to do pretty well at a fraction of the cost with many fewer staff, especially with topical news coverage. And the VIP tents don’t seem quite so packed on the public teat as the BBC can muster from its roster.
But glad indeed it’s not a defence of the BBC, and in no way advocating maybe all is best left to trust, as has been, and in some eyes always should be.
It is a good question and without the full facts on what everyone is doing, difficult to answer. I know anecdotally from my wife who worked until very recently in TV for close on 40 years for both the BBC and others, plus from friends who have also worked for various broadcasters as camera crew and journalists that it’s a running joke in the industry that what would take (say a to-camera news item) Sky or ITV 2 people to film – a presenter and a cameraman/sound recordist would take the BBC at least 10 people. Having been on-site at news events you can always spot the BBC as there’s a crowd of people.
A close friend of mine as been in the TV industry for twenty five years from the “floor” up and has worked on some big productions . I text him today. “Guess how may people the BBC will be sending to Rio?” He gave his experienced answer and I told him the projected figure. He was “Amazed! but not surprised”
In 2009 the BBC sent 415. Of those 290 were technicians (130 of them hired just for the event so not staff).
I am not sure the comparison with the World Cup is all that useful given Glastonbury is basically a field so everything from generators to OB units has to be brought in. One assumes (and given Brazil’s state of readiness this may be a rash assumption) that the technical infrastructure is in place.
“‘A staff jolly’ BBC send 300 staff to Glastonbury – MORE than the World Cup.
“THE BBC have been accused of sending staff on a jolly’ at taxpayers’ expense as more of their workers will be sent to Glastonbury than the World Cup.”
Hoped they are booked into decent hotels this year. What a debacle last year. Yentob threw a very big hissy fit when he turned up at his a, “Premier Inn “.
Mr. Y is a gift that keeps on giving.
He seems like Zelig; appearing everywhere (at great expense) but with zero apparent contribution. A good metaphor in so many ways.
Or some ” Room of My Own ” piece featuring Bobby Sands, where he gets his decor upgraded for free.
Nah, thirty three years-and not enough time has passed..hence no jokes from the BBC.
On the Today Program this morning, some Scottish comedian slagging of the English, telling us how we have no identity because we are scousers or geordies and ‘Don’t know what we are.’
Chuckles from Montague, while the Scottish woman bangs on about how they love to wind us up, and basically how it is all our fault. Disgusting.
Cue Naughtie chuckling and saying I’m glad I didn’t have to get invited in that.
Albaman, put your fingers in you ears.
I once had to eject a sweaty from my premises because he had the audacity to ask me if I regarded myself as English.
As someone who could be correctly be described as a Geordie (born on Tyneside) and brought up in Durham, I would call myself 100% English.
I went to a school in Durham which was built on the site of the Battle of Neville’s Cross (1346). In fact the address was Redhills Lane. The epithet “Redhills” was because the hills were red with the blood of the Scottish invaders. If some shit for brains sweaty bint thinks that those in northern england don’t regard themselves as English then I think she should get her head out of her thistle lined arsehole..
The nationalist Scot has a list of myths that he/she will always be ready to peddle: Scottish soldiers always get put over the top first; Geordies and those from the north think as themselves as more Scottish (utter nonsense); the weather reports always leave out Scotland out; Scottish oil keeps England afloat; the Scots are loved abroad while the English are hated; the Scots are tougher than the ENglish; the English kicked the Scots off their land (in fact it was clan chiefs and Scottish nobles he did this to make way for sheep); English sports media are so biased (even though Scottish commentators practically talk the ball into the net when Scotland are playing). The list is endless and you will find that the list is the same in every pub from Stornoway to Kelso.
It’s news time. It’s housing prices again. However with a twist almost of reality. If prices continue to rise in London it could spread to the rest of the country. REALITY you can’t afford a deposit on a zero hour minimum wage contract.
Economic ideologue buffoonery, caused the disaster of negative equity in housing, the last time the Tories were in power, the same type of “back of a fag packet” ineptitude is on the cards with housing again.
Apparently, Islam Not BBC (INBBC) is not concerned with the consequences of the freeing of Islamic jihadists in Bergdahl swap:
‘Jihadwatch’-
“Taliban commander freed for Bergdahl tells relative he’ll wage jihad against Americans again”
By Robert Spencer.
[Excerpt]:-
“This is no surprise, of course. What else would he and the others do? What was done at Guantanamo to disabuse them of their jihadist sentiments and supposed misunderstanding of Islam? Absolutely nothing. Even though these men are universally believed to hold to a twisted, hijacked version of Islam, no effort was made to change their minds.”
Next time you meet some lefty cretin who dares to mock the likes of Reagan or Bush for being thick…remember this speech by Ronald Reagan this very day 40 years ago.
Then compare it to whatever shit Obama would have summonsed up for today-alongside whether Juncker should be EU President or not, whether Michael Crick caused a Tory to scrape a parked car, or whether UKIPs halving of the Tory majority is psephologically significant for the Labour/Tory/Libby. For Reagan spoke like THIS, whereas Channel 4 and Obama wallow in lefty shit and flick it at each other.
Brave men our age and younger died for us-hope to God they won`t have ever thought that they`d die for the likes of Jon Snow or Chris Bryant.
If anyone knows a better indicator of the debauchery of public life that this comparison of what Reagan and Thatcher said..and what Blair or Chirac turned out to represent, before Obama and Barrosa.
That’s a very moving piece.. Luckily his dreams for the break up of the soviet union came true.
There’s one line from the “Lord of the rings” film that came to mind today during the excellent coverage by the BBC (they don’t always p*ss me off – very occasionally they get it right). The line is “You my friends bow to no-one”. I think – and admittedly this is outside the control of the BBC – that the current batch of political pygmies from all countries should have gone down on one knee to the veterans.
i notice that stephen nolan seems to be quiet chuffed that religious and politacal leaders in northern ireland have bent over backwards to apologise to the muslim community over comments that pastor made, that not good enough for nolan is it,he never stops going on about this story,by the way, when is nolan going to ask muslim leaders to apologise to us over this trojan horse plot, paedophile muslim grooming rings, terrorist plots and attacks, anjem choudarys hate preaching, lee rigby killing, etc etc, when are we non muslims going to get are apology mr nolan.
Were the Muslims even that fussed or was it the usual suspects assuming offence on their behalf? Is Nolan hoping to win Muslim tolerance of his lifestyle choice? Good luck with that.
“Mme Le Pen told Newsnight’s abrasive Laura Kuenssberg: ‘Madame, you seem much more interested in the questions you’re asking than in the answers I’m giving. I find this disrespectful.’”
The thing about the FN is that I keep reading and hearing that they’re “far right wing”, when they are clearly as leftist as you can get. Even Ken Livingstone said on the radio the other day “the communists used to vote for FN all the time” as if something has since changed, and still didn’t put two and two together, continuing to flog the “far right wing” meme. The BBC should be loving it, but let the immigration position get in the way.
Bham “Trojan Horse” on BBC breakfast, (the Ofsted report is damning/the facts are clear), who to discuss this issue?.
D. Murray perhaps, A Gilligan?, in fact anyone with indepth understanding …
well no its ……. the Guardian s movie critic? … who doesn t think ( 😀 ) there is anything more than a, disagreement between two ministers, thank you and goodnight.
This flippant arrogance, doesn t seem to cut both ways,(this is the BBC after all) … on the beeb the other day the Pastor in Ireland, who “offended Islam” was on an irritating continuous loop
BBC News – who called Islam “heathen” and “satanic” spent almost two hours at a police station on Friday being questioned about his remarks.
Pastor James McConnell has apologised publicly for any distress.
“Mr Robinson told the Irish News that he would not trust Muslims involved in violence or those devoted to Sharia law. But he said he would “trust them to go to the shops” for him. His remarks caused anger and hurt.
A Belfast hospital consultant Dr Samina Dornan said Muslim staff had been very hurt by it and that he should apologise publicly. Mr Robinson later said his remarks had been misinterpreted, and met Muslim leaders in Belfast to apologise. ”
… Actually his objections should have stuck to the facts, on Islam, and the media coverage be used to nail them.
But … the BBC would maybe, not have been so vociferous in that case. Once again the MSM in collusion with powers that be, turn into freedom of speech, and thought police, just in case Islamic adherents get violent?
… what abject cowardice, by those without a single spinal vertebrae between them.
I heard the muslim MP from Perry Bar in Birmingham, Khalid Mahmood, on the radio today – a muslim on the ground, in the area, who knows these people at the schools. He said the whole thing is real, not rumours or fake as some have suggested. Ken Livingstone then came on and said Mahmood was wrong! Of course he is, Ken! It’s all made up Islamophobia (what Livingstone suggested)! This is the same Ken Livingstone who has shilled for Islam on Iranian Press TV, by the way…
“Deeply religious, he posts regular comments about Islamic practices and protocols, points readers to website articles supportive of Islam, and often quotes from the Koran. He also appears to be highly political. In recent weeks, Anwar has condemned incursions by Israel into Arab-controlled Gaza (which he describes as ‘our Holocaust’), criticised U.S. drone attacks in Pakistan and made pointed attacks on Ukip’s ‘retard’ leader Nigel Farage. On another occasion, he strayed into yet more contentious territory: posting two outspoken messages voicing support for an individual who was appearing in court charged with terror offences.”

I have stated on this blog before about the BBC, at some time in the future, linking the flooding of ATOLs with climate change. 2 years later, and viola! ATOLs by their nature SINK hence give rise to the ATOLs appearing to be swamped by rising sea levels. What a numpty Mr McGrath really is.
Excerpt from one of the comments following the article:
‘Propaganda must not investigate the truth objectively and, in so far as it is favourable to the other side, present it according to the theoretical rules of justice; yet it must present only that aspect of the truth which is favourable to its own side. (…) The receptive powers of the masses are very restricted, and their understanding is feeble. On the other hand, they quickly forget. Such being the case, all effective propaganda must be confined to a few bare essentials and those must be expressed as far as possible in stereotyped formulas. These slogans should be persistently repeated until the very last individual has come to grasp the idea that has been put forward….‘
Warmism and any other leftist agenda you care to think of, in a nutshell.
D Day on BBC Midlands Today. No criticism of this or general coverage, have listened to R4Extra programmes-excellent- as well as watching TV.
Just an observation, BBC visited a school to talk to 14 year olds about D day. All the children were white, usually, on Midlands Today, it is a case of spot the white kid.
The D-Day coverage on R5L was very good and very respectful, from what I heard of it. Peter Allen did an outstanding job.
If only it was always like this…
Excellent coverage on R4’s 5pm news programme today of the Queen’s state visit to France. Unnervingly positive from every angle, in fact, and almost pro-British.
But no doubt one of the BBC’s very funny ‘comedians’ will find an alternative take on it later in the week…
Newswatch – blink and you’ll miss it – aired a little viewer (read Licence Payer) concern at BBC obsession with foreign news.
John Simpson (BBC Foreign News Big Cheese) says in response ‘don’t take away my dinner ticket’ or words to that effect. And by the way says that people who are not interested in his news are ‘dumb’. Thanks, John.
In the section that ought to be called ‘we have to admit’ we see what viewers (I say Licence Payers) noticed about the D-Day coverage – ie it was shit. Dodgy camera work, chaotic editing… here comes a parachutist to land…. oh dear he dissappears out of view behind a tent… and we cut to another shot of the back of people’s heads.
This was the sort of event at which the BBC used to excel.
For my own taste, I can’t stand Huw Edwards with his orange skin tone and sneary Welsh manner – just me? He seems to be the go to boyo for all BBC events of national significance.
I avoid John Simpson’s news because he is a 70 year-old egomaniac who leaves his seven year-old son to trek the globe in his flak jacket at our expense because, well, what’s more important when you reach 70?
Note the question mark. Rather than investigating the evidence the report bogs itself down on the ‘Trojan letter’, which may indeed be false but that of course is not why teachers and heads from these schools have been so concerned. Nor is it why Park Hill is being investigated.
Without irony the BBC reports Alam, who is Chair of Governors of Park Hill : ‘Tahir Alam, dismissed the “ridiculous assertions” and said this was a media-generated “frenzy”.’
So that’s all right then. Isn’t that a bit like asking Hitler if the Nazis are a bit, you know, extreme and unpleasant?
The threat to the same school is now real because it was mentioned in the Guardian, (‘Park View, rated as outstanding by Oftsed in 2012, will be graded inadequate, according to a leaked Ofsted report in The Guardian.’)
It is also real because the young pretender to Milliband’s crown, Tristram Hunt, says it is all because of the Tories. (‘Shadow education secretary Tristram Hunt has accused the government of “incompetence” over its handling of the threat of extremism in schools.’)
So there you have it. There is no problem with Park Hill School but if there is then it is the fault of the Tories.
Phew, I am glad the BBC has explained that to a concerned public I was getting worried there for a moment.
Renta-lefty-gob Alibhai-Brown was on bemoaning the fact that we didn’t commemorate Soviet and Indian contributions yesterday. Ignoring the fact that on Remembrance Sunday we do commemorate all Empire contributions to war efforts.
Nobody else on the panel dared point out that there were no Soviets or Indians fighting on D-Day, and besides, the Soviets commemorate their success in WW2 on “Victory Day” (May 9th).
She’s one of those lefties who rightly say that the Soviets sacrificed the most during WW2 but forget that D-Day was vital for not just defeating the Nazis in the west, but for preventing Soviet control across the whole of Europe.
You could string together a whole year’s episodes of Dateline London as positive proof, statistical proof beyond any contradiction, that the BBC is biased against Britain and biased in favour of lefties.
Craig, formerly of this parish, carried out such statistical exercises – but to my mind any programme that regularly has Alibhai Brown and that swivel-eyed Arab loon as “expert guests” is obviously fatally skewed.
Problem is – Dateline London is shown around the world by the BBC.
Not forgetting that most of the Soviets deaths were self inflicted, that they supplied the Nazi war machine, that they gave logistical help to them against the Allies and that they did not liberate a single soul deliberately but changed one mudererous thug for another.
Seventy years after the tide of liberation hit the beaches of Normandy it has reached the military itself with the coming incorporation of women into combat units.
There’s a great antidote to the feminist ululations about that on the BBC.
IIRC the Israelis tried this and found that it degraded performance of units. Not because the women were not up to the job but because the men spent too much time looking out for them.
Add it the added danger of rape on capture and it seems foolish in the extreme, although if what the Major says is typical and many of these women end up infertile at least there won’t be the risk of pregnancy.
Actually, it is a fact that women cannot carry as much as men. Modern infantry have to wear body armour, and often find themselves carrying over 100lbs into action. The only way women can make it in the infantry is if the criteria are adjusted to make it happen, ie if we agree to suspend reality for the sake of political correctness.
IDF’s first female Christian officer. Yasmin Chayach has become the first Christian woman to complete the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) officer’s training course. Chayach, who is from Acre, follows in the footsteps of her brother, who also served in the IDF. Christian enlistment in the IDF tripled in 2013.
… anti-Semitism is the middle east was imported from christian Europe?
… “if only muslims had been running Europe in the 1940s 6 million extra jews would still be alive today”

Something on the D Day celebrations that won’t be covered by the BBC. I had the honour of sailing with a group of veterans returning to Normandy. They were well received by fellow passengers and the French crew. But what stuck in my mind was the hymn sheets handed by the crew out to all passengers and the veterans from which we all sung loudly – Onward Christian Soldiers.
The soldiers who had fought against facism and National Socialism were consciously or not, sticking two fingers at the multiculty, PC, anti-Christian, pro-Islamic media and appeasers like Cameron, Clegg and all. One last crossing, one final victory for the great generation.
As we were out of British territorial waters Cameron’s appeasing thought police were not likely to arrest anyone for giving offence.
‘Despite being bit-part players, the French like to do D-Day their way. So the ceremony – if that be the word – that took place on the stretch of sand forever known as Sword was, as expected, a peculiarly Gallic affair.
The only speech made (by President of the Republic François Hollande) was in French and the commentary on the public address system was in French……
This was a modern Continental guide to the Second World War and the lesson spectators were meant to take home was that the European Union is a thoroughly good thing.
When two veterans were presented to the audience at the climax of the 90-minute extravaganza they were not British or Canadian or American but French and German.
As Leon Gautier, a Free French commando, and Johannes Borner, a German soldier, stood shoulder to shoulder, the scenery used at one point to depict Nazi gun emplacements was rearranged to create the circlet of gold stars that is the symbol of the EU.
This was touchy-feely history at its modern best, a version that saw Operation Overlord as the first step towards the Common Agricultural Policy………
“It is up to us to have the same vision, the same courage, to be just as bright and have the same determination as those who came to these beaches 70 years ago,” said President Hollande, in an address that ranged from terrorism to climate change.’
To quote Orwell:
‘If you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face – forever.’
That’s what Hollande, Merkel, Blair, Mandelson, Miliband and the rest of the totalitarian bunch are doing – and it’s relentless.
I agree the ceremony was designed to prop up the EU. I was there the previous day watching the news reporters recording their material 24 hours in advance. On the day, there was an exclusion zone, some 6 kilometres around the place. The media and politicians had their event. My goodness, the so called dance scenes were ghastly, resembling in some aspects a third rate zombie film.
But there was another level of celebrations among the ordinary people. French bikers turned up at parachute drops riding their Harley Davidsons, and women everywhere were wearing clothes in the design of the US flag. Flags of the UK and USA hung from balconies, and in the villages there were some genuine celebrations.
Islam Not BBC inevitably presents a pro-BERGDAHL political position, and censors treason case:-
“5 Indications that Bowe Bergdahl Is a Traitor”
By Robert Spencer.
[Excerpt]:-
..”.today I make the case for Bowe Bergdahl to be tried for treason:
“It is well established now that Bowe Bergdahl, the Army sergeant for whom Barack Obama traded five top Taliban jihad commanders to get him out of captivity in Afghanistan, is a deserter. But there are also numerous indications that Bergdahl is something even worse: a traitor to the United States of America….”
JUNCKER: an unelected E.U. federalist, who respects a free press as much as Beeboids do:-
“Juncker attacks UK press, but it’s a free press he hates.
“‘When it becomes serious, you have to lie,’ Jean-Claude Juncker has said of getting business done in the EU. “Remember, this is the top candidate for president of the Commission. And they wonder why Britain hates Brussels.”
Get rid of the BBC!
But only when we`ve all listened to “Book Of The Week”-a Broken Hallelujah which is about Leonard Cohen.
Whoever chose this deserves a chance to rebuild the new BBC-as opposed to the toadies who choose Blunkett, Johnson, Prescott(Mr and Mrs) Mandelson, Campbell and Blair-who need to be bulldozed into the foundations of the new BBC Marquee I`m planning!
Cohen is the man…would HE want to be the new BBC Trust Chairman?
Here’s someone else who realises that the BBC are poison:
“I expect plenty of controversy in the days to come, as the Ofsted report is published and its implications sink in. The BBC will try to dampen it down. We mustn’t let that happen.”
“Radical Islam in secular schools: now the shocking truth emerges ”
“Deeply religious, he posts regular comments about Islamic practices and protocols, points readers to website articles supportive of Islam, and often quotes from the Koran. He also appears to be highly political. In recent weeks, Anwar has condemned incursions by Israel into Arab-controlled Gaza (which he describes as ‘our Holocaust’), criticised U.S. drone attacks in Pakistan and made pointed attacks on Ukip’s ‘retard’ leader Nigel Farage. I mean … what could go wrong?
he must be advocating “conservative” Islam
Have you noticed how the BBC news network are concentrating on the Trojan Horse as though it was/is only a current government creation? Yeah, what about all the times the Trojan Horse was reported to the government officials in the Labour Party when they were in office? Sorry BBC, I didn’t hear you mention anything…..must have missed it.
The notion of “free school”, was ripe for abusing the system.,
Obviously the master of that in our society
today, Islam … is going to do what it always does abuse the system, blatantly and arrogantly, yep! just like religious schools … welcome to Trojan Horse.
You can have religious schools
but Islam is not a religion, it is ideology and totalitarian at that, i.e. no room for anything else … uh oh! big problem … answer?
no more religious schools?
or man up and tell the truth?.
You can have free school, until Islam gets involved, ideology, totalitarian at that, no room for anything else etc
uh oh! big problem, answer?
no more free schools?
or man up and tell the truth?
or … Islamising youth is not an issue, so carry on until
loads more islamo-nazi s
……………….. BOOM! …………………
or another Lee Rigby,
or loads more honour murders.
or loads more child gang raping
or loads more Muslim patrols
or, or. or.
Yes, it was the 9p.m news on Radio 4 that gave us the soundbite from Kevin Brennan( yes…THE one and same!) who said that May and Gove need to be removed from post.
The BBC played this for us.
In all those years whilst these problems of Islamic infiltration was going on, I don`t recall Labours Liam Byrne, Ed Balls or ANY of them ever even addressing this as a problem. Although we now know it was.
Just like mid-Staffs…Labour leaves the corpse stinking out the attic, and the Tories go silently into the police van of public opinion without a fight…dumbclucks!
As for May and Gove being in breach of some kind of Ministerial Code?…I`m guessing that Blair and Browns weird games and nasties were “not within the scope of the current investigation” (according to Brennan).
I despise May, but at least she did make efforts to lose Qatada and Hamza, not include them in Hazel Blears “respect agenda”-as Labour would have done…and Gove has long known of what Islam`s been up to with his Celsius 7/7 book( funnily enough though, he`s never described as an author or expert on Islam-unlike Alibiah Brown or Owen Jones ;who know far less than Gove has forgotten.
Trust the BBC to lead the 9pm bulletins with this tiddler of tripe as a story-all in the hope that we might forget about what Muslims have been systematically doing in our schools as Labour egged them on.
At least Gove will act-which is why the NUT and the BBC hate him so.
“Trojan horse” is nothing to do with free schools. It is about a plan to turn “normal” (i.e. non-“faith” schools) into fully Islamic schools.
I’d be surprised if Birmingham is the only place this is going on.
‘Guardian’ lays false political scent re-Beeboid
Peston.
It is patently obvious that Beeboids politically ape ‘Guardian’ not ‘Daily Mail’, so much as that Beeboids TV press previews censored out ‘Daily Mail’ front page stories about Labour Party’s Harman-Dromey on NCCL/pedophiles earlier this year.
“Daily Mail deputy attacks Peston over claim BBC apes rightwing papers.
“Mail’s deputy editor Tony Gallagher tweets that claim is ‘garbage’ although many agree with BBC economics editor’s assertion.”
Tonight’s Pointless (bBBC2) was supposedly a World Cup special, with teams (of two) including Geoff Hurst, Peter Shilton, Graham le Saux, etc … and two English women footballers who have done nothing and are only known for being lesbians. Sadly, those two won the competition, with the final decided in their favour because they knew the name of Elton John’s queer partner.
The bBBC producers must have been orgasmic.
All a part of the trend to elbow out white blokes of a certain age.
I get sick of hearing about how women won the war for us…or how dogs and carrier pigeons made the victory possible.
This is not to belittle the countless acts from women that helped and supported…but the more the BBC try to get parity for the two sexes in WW”, the more I bridle at the agenda.
Bit like the pig and the chicken arguing over their parity in making the farmers breakfast…one makes the contribution, the other makes the sacrifice.
And, as I`ve said on a few occasions, I`ve yet to see the bins emptied weekly by women-and I doubt that hundreds of women would have gone to their deaths in the Twin Towers as the men did(rightly or wrongly).
When the womens footy even begin to give us the myths of July 1966, then I`ll listen-until then, it`s funded crapola.
[There’s a first. Lighting has forced the players off and I’ve just been told by a regular here that the lighting must stop within an eight-mile radius of the stadium for 30 minutes before we can resume.] From Phil McNulty. (BBC correspondent England Football match)That would be Lightning then would it Phil?
Although Muslims comprise little over 5% of UK population at present (but growing), the Islamisation of Britain is daily ever more the new reality, and INBBC should not support it. The Islamisation pattern is apparent, whether it’s:-
1.) Islamisation of education:-
‘Mail on Sunday’, Page 1 headline –
“Tory bloodbath over Muslim schools fiasco: Cabinet meltdown as Michael Gove is humbled and Theresa May aide fired”
“Europeans have not yet woken up to the significance of these anarchic zones opening up on the shores of the Mediterranean in Syria and Libya. This is because the threat has been largely abstract but it is getting less so with the attack on the Jewish Museum in Brussels by a French jihadi who had been in Syria. US and European politicians do not want to explain why, 13 years after 9/11, when the ‘war on terror’ was supposedly launched, thousands of al-Qa’ida militants have been able to carve out enclaves so close to Europe.”
Just listened to some tw*ts on the Papers review talking about how terrible it is to deport criminals because some of them might have to go back to terrible situations in their home countries…
Here’s a novel idea: if you come to Britain precisely because of the terrible situation in your home country and you genuinely fear being sent back, how about refraining from committing serious crimes like murder and rape whilst you’re over here? Just a thought, but it seems like a small price to pay, at least to my way of thinking…
INBBC, and its political bias for Emirate of QATAR.
INBBC will find it politically difficult to criticise anything to do with Qatar, such as alleged corruption over World Cup bid, given INBBC’s commitment to Qatar’s Islamic broadcaster, Al Jazeera:-
“The Sunday Times accuse Qatar of bungs galore, power politics & energy deals in winning the 2022 World Cup”
It seems that the spat between Michael Gove and Theresa May is going to dominate the news rather than dealing with the very real problem of what is happening in the Birmingham schools.
Indeed. But in reporting terms, and at risk of sounding like A. Newsroom Tealady, it is also newsworthy.
What is interesting here is the reporting and analytical volume being devoted to it by so many in the BBC already.
Clearly lessons have been learned since the Blair/Brown years, for which the BBC’s political finest of course offered a rare apology.
But then, that was also a different time.
One of course that may yet return if the BBC can direct things back to how they prefer them.
Just seen Marr fawning over Salmond. The impression I got from watching the beeb this morning is that Farage is a racist for wanting to leave Europe bur Salmond is a patriot for wanting to leave the UK. Go figure!
If it is racism to want to leave Europe then I’m proud to be called a racist.

Traitors in our midst……….
It takes a certain kind of dedication to ignore all the coverage the BBC is rightly giving the D-Day comemmorations, across TV, radio and online, and pick on this as supposed evidence of the BBC’s ‘anti-Britishness’.
Did someone mention anti-Britishness?
Or just tastelessness?
Is the word ‘traitors’ not indicative of ‘anti-British’?

‘Indicative’. Excellent basis for the POETS shift weighing in.
Next thing you’ll be saying it’s not news as there is other news and it’s just not, so there.

Quisling was a fanatical Norwegian patriot so, no, not always.

Quisling welcomed the Nazi invasion of Norway, and that made him a traitor.
He tried to start off a Nazi-type party in his own country in the 20s and 30s, but his manifestos were soundly rejected by the voting public, his party never getting over 10% of the vote.

Indeed all that is true. But he did it because he thought Norway needed it. He betrayed his fellow countrymen to save his beloved country.
He was both a patriot and a traitor and a complete shit to boot.

The ‘traitors’, as we have known for some time, are the BBC’s hard left ‘comedians’.
Did anyone suggest otherwise?

Poor old Jeremy Hardy, eh? If Margaret Thatcher had never lived, he’d be a street sweeper, or shovelling sh*t on a building site. He should be giving thanks to Maggie every night, before he goes to bed. Whenever he turns up on a Radio4 panel show, I think “Ah, yes – and here comes the Maggie gag in 5,4,3…”

I actually read about the BBC broadcasting this programme in The Times this morning. They seemed to think it was extrememly tasteless. So do I.

But rather than investigate the complaint properly, the BBC simply try to justify the broadcast….something that approximates to, ‘we got it about right.’
The w*nkers have no shame. They aren’t remotely interested in what people think.
Arrogant.

But the BBC generally also has lots of form in not reporting the Mail stories:

BBC sending more staff to Glastonbury than World Cup – http://www.theguardian.com/media/2014/jun/06/bbc-staff-glastonbury-world-cup-brazil-2014
Apparently you need 300 staff to film a music event…
21 likes

The BBC has serious problems in reporting the Muslim takeover of schools in the UK with particular reference to Park Hill in Birmingham.
1. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-27024881
Entitled : Extremist ‘takeovers’ in Birmingham schools?
Note the question mark. Rather than investigating the evidence the report bogs itself down on the ‘Trojan letter’, which may indeed be false but that of course is not why teachers and heads from these schools have been so concerned. Nor is it why Park Hill is being investigated.
It does end with an interview with Tahir Alam who has definitely written a guide on the islamifcation of schools. See:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/education/educationnews/10790441/Guide-to-school-Islamisation-by-ringleader-of-Trojan-Horse-plot.html
Yet …
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-27739044

Dateline London.

They fought Nazism in the name of democracy and freedom but what did they get? The EU.
Read this and weep:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/history/world-war-two/10882909/Amid-the-French-theatrics-a-simple-pipers-lament.html

Thank you Johnnythefish

Although Muslims comprise little over 5% of UK population at present (but growing), the Islamisation of Britain is daily ever more the new reality, and INBBC should not support it. The Islamisation pattern is apparent, whether it’s:-

This sort of digression when dealing with Labour’s induced vast Islam immigration problems is so predictable and constantly practiced by the opposition and their propaganda outlets like the BBC, Guardian and lefty luvvies.
It is as if we are all stupid enough not to work out for ourselves that it was Labour that imported the problem during the most disastrous 13 years of Governance this Nation has ever had to endure.
It is as though we have forgotten already about the millions who are now dead, displaced or crippled through their wars, (and are still dying daily), which could have been avoided and this too has played it’s part in the radicalisation of Islam in this country and the world.
