BEHIND THE VEIL

Sarah Rhodes, with and without her hijab

Charming piece of pro-Muslim propaganda brought your way by CBBC Newsround;

Non-Muslims are being asked to try wearing a hijab, a type of headscarf, for a day to find out more about why women wear them. World Hijab Day calls on non-Muslim women to try out life under the traditional head scarf. Some people think women should not have to cover their hair or face and think it is unfair because men don’t have to wear them. But for many women around the world, it is an important show of their faith.

Looking forward to CBBC pushing “World Wear a Cross Day” where Non Christians  are encouraged to try out life wearing a crucifix.

Slight problem, if muslims convert to Christianity that would be apostasy, and the only result for that would be, they would have to be beheaded.

Warning, Graphic Content . Muslim cutting the throat of a Tunisian Christian.

    • David Brims says:

”The video—be warned, it is immensely graphic—can be seen here (the actual execution appears from minute 1:13-4:00).

For those who prefer not to view it, a summary follows:Liberal talk show host Tawfiq Okasha recently appeared on “Egypt Today,” airing a video of Muslims slicing off a young man’s head off for the crime of apostasy — in this instance, the crime of converting to Christianity and refusing to renounce it.

      A summary follows:

A young man appears held down by masked men. His head is pulled back, with a knife to his throat. He does not struggle and appears resigned to his fate. Speaking in Arabic, the background speaker, or “narrator,” chants a number of Muslim prayers and supplications, mostly condemning Christianity, which, because of the Trinity, is referred to as a polytheistic faith:

“Let Allah be avenged on the polytheist apostate”; “Allah empower your religion, make it victorious against the polytheists”; “Allah, defeat the infidels at the hands of the Muslims,” and “There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his messenger.”

Then, to cries of “Allahu Akbar!”— Allah is greater!”—the masked man holding the knife to the apostate’s throat begins to slice away, severing the head completely after approximately one minute of graphic knife-carving, as the victim drowns in blood. Finally, the severed head is held aloft to more Islamic slogans of victory.”

…But for many women around the world, it is an important show of their faith.

I’d like the BBC to explain what it has to do with their faith. Even among Muslims there is disagreement about what is required to be worn by the female. From what I can tell the women who do have resigned themselves to the wishes of their father/husband (men controlling her), and since they can’t deal with this, would want to believe they are doing it for a higher purpose.

For some reason I’m reminded of this:
    A Mitzvah
An ultra Orthodox couple met their rabbi at their temple to consult their upcoming wedding. they had one problem that they needed to ask the rabbi about.
“Rabbi,” said the man, “my fiance and I really want to dance together at our celebration, can we?”
“Absolutely not!” replied the rabbi “The men and women have to dance seperately to be modest and dignified!”
“Fine,” says the woman. Then a huge question comes up on her mind. “Can we have sex?”
“Absolutely,” says the rabbi, “reproduction is a mitzvah!”
“Even before marriage?” says the man.
    “It’s all a mitzvah.”
    “Woman on top?”
    “A mitzvah.”
    “On the kitchen table?”
“It still doesn’t change the fact that it’s a mitzvah, so go right ahead.”
    “How about standing up?”
    “ABSOLUTELY NOT!” yells the rabbi.
    “Why?” both partners ask?
    “Could lead to dancing.”

Don’t give them ideas… Which the clowns behind those Morph characters seem to have long since run out of. For a start the plasticine budget will need to be tripled, and they’ll also need to figure out how to convey the successful outcome of a bacon sarnie-free diet under a hijab.

So important the first thing Islamic women do when there plane takes off from Allah’s country is to go into the toilet and remove that cotton showing of faith. The same thing transpires at many universities around the Uk, where after getting dropped off by a male family member, the young girl proceeds to the toilets in which to disrobe.

I wonder why the bBC doesn’t mention that salient fact

I don’t recall the BBC ever making reference to the religious Jews in Israel, who they usually refer to as ‘settlers’, doing so as part of THEIR FAITH.

Certainly more relevance to real faith than the hijab, but as we know the hypocritical BBC view of multicultural only applies to a certain few.

I’m pretty sure the BBC has made it quite clear that the settlers are doing what they do because their religion tells them they must live there. It’s another reason why the BBC hates them so.
