Trust the BBC to be getting all its anti-E,U, too far too fast crap from the global grandees currently doing rather nicely in Davos.
No chance of Steph slumming it with us lot here in Slough or Bridlington is it?…no point in asking the shoppers, smokers or pub types about our view on Europe is there?
Typical BBC…these Davos “captains of investment who must be heeded”-are they not the tax avoiding fat cats and destroyers of the environment for 362 other days of the year?
Guess Occupy aren`t yet able to ski…or else we`d have Owen, Laurie and Mason over there too, blagging marshmallows from the tables of the rich-then calling it rebellion!
    W***ers alll!

Heard Willetts getting a good moaning from Peter Woods lovechild this morning.
    You`d have thought that
    a) Government money being
    b) publicly thrown at
    c) Scotland-and Glasgow in particular, no less in
    d) a high tech futuristic thing with educational and business potential to inspire the likes of Lagos and Sao Paulo
would hit all the BBCs Labour-loving buttons….remember Mandelsons electric car, and Labours e-learning scheme/scam of early 2002?

Nah-Tory you see, so Webman sneers at “infrastructure not being provided years ago, cut in science funding and not including the rest of the nation-why not Salford he asks, with no irony?
All this-while Willetts has to use his own phone because the BBCs Glasgow studio hasn`t put enough turf under their wind turbine that runs the studio up there!
Again though-absolutely no irony..no cause for self reflection about the BBCs shameless idiocy and hypocrisy that we all see day by day….nah, Toricutz mate…Labour would have done it better yah?
Christ-they are dumb aren`t they-the last to get the joke that they are?
Humph asked for a few million from Willetts to get their studio up and running…was it a joke?…you`ll no longer ever know with the Bloated Bunters Co-op that is the f***`in BBC!

“The Labour Party will do anything for the workers – except trust them.
“While David Cameron puts his faith in the people, Ed Miliband clings rigidly to belief in the state.”

    By Fraser Nelson.

Doesn’t BBC-NUJ have similar attitude as Labour?

I stayed on did a bit of overtime listening to Desert Island Discs after Willetts.
Some old lady who licked envelopes for assorted Goons, and who gave us Men Behaving Badly( I thankyeww!) was being asked her faves…and yes, one or two of them were plugs for various shows her son-in-law was running for the BBC.
Very cosy, Kirsty-and apart from her surname (Virtue!), what the heck was this old dear doing on the show.
    “Hardly Enoch” is she?
Next week..DLTs tea lady in those crazy 70s!

    And finally….
Heard a great line on the uselessly leftie “Book of the Week” after Desert Island Discs…been a long morning already.
Some romantic, poetic would-be utopian revolutionary in Italy after WW1 gets his hagiography read out…you know the type that hits the BBCs G-spot before Womans Hour.
The menopausal trout who was reading this guff tells us this-
“De Noncio then put on the uniform of a humble peasant soldier, before taking his place in the ration queue for a photocall”.
The old bird did not fall off her reinforced perch on reading this perfect one-line summary of the BBC/Live Aid/Red Nose day….you name it!
Brilliant metaphor for the BBC…surely to God he became David Willeys grandad!
Yet-not a laugh, a smirk or any irony whatsoever!
The BBC are not laughing at themselves are they-0and we gave up laughing with them years ago!
Off to my ration queue now…BBC Solent will surely need me to talk of my tragic response to economic growth figures.
Is Lazy Cow Syndrome gender-neutral these days?

      Same d’Annunzio?

…This famous poet, novelist and war hero was a self-proclaimed Superman. He was the outstanding interventionist in May 1915 and his dramatic exploits during the war won him national and international acclaim. In September 1919 he gathered together his ‘legions’ and captured the disputed seaport of Fiume. He held it for over a year and it was he who popularised the black shirts, the balcony speeches, the promulgation of ambitious charters and the entire choreography of street parades and ceremonies. He even planned a march on Rome. One historian had rightly described him as the ‘First Duce’ and Mussolini must have heaved a sigh of relief when he was driven from Fiume in December 1920 and his followers were dispersed. But he remained a threat to Mussolini and in 1921 Fascists like Balbo seriously considered turning to him for leadership.

Almost prefer the BBC’s De Noncio……as it ‘appens?
