THE LIVING WAGE…

BBC been pushing the “Living Wage” agenda all day I see. Listened to Stephanie Flanders earlier as she was very disingenuous on the issue. She dismissed concerns that this “Living Wage” would actually cost jobs by comparing the critics of it to those who forecast that the equally socialist construct of a minimum wage would cost ” a lot of jobs”. She subtly avoided sharing with us just HOW many jobs the minimum wage cost nor, for that matter, where private business would FIND the extra cash demanded by the “workers”.

What’s the old saying? Socialism works until you run out of other people’s money.

Yes, the BBC’s much loved mass-immigration policy did wonders for private sector wages didn’t it!?

Oh, it`s a Labour thing from Blairs day…and so is not to be questioned or defended…it just is.
The BBC money tree continues to pay for Stephs New York shop for Christmas…and therefore she has plenty time to wonder why others don`t do just the same.
Let Ed look into it….and let`s not create any unpleasantness with talk about costs and figures…

If legislation outlaws certain contracts of employment made voluntarily between two parties then how can it not result in a higher level of unemployment. This is precisely what the national minimum wage has done – prevent some who would work from working.

Why is this so difficult to understand? If Flanders had an ounce of common sense she would balance her report with genuine questions of whether the national minimum wage is to blame. But as ever the so called balanced reporting from the BBC is nothing more than shallowness and lip service.

Does anyone remember Maya Even, from the Money Programme? She was useless (used the technique of short skirts to distract the viewer from what banalities she spouted ) and Ms Flanders is a clone of the same type. Is there any information that shows how these people actually get their jobs?

I believe it is that old method known as “it’s not what you know, it’s who you know”. Lets face it Ms Flanders really does struggle on the ‘what you know front’ so it must be her connections that got her the job. The two Eds, the Labour Party and the BBC. Now surely there’s no connections going on there.

Ah, you beat me to the good news.
Very depressing that the Telegraph, which used to be a decent paper, would publish a sycophantic puff piece like this.
The only reassuring part, are the 136, nearly uniformly hostile comments, which follow the Al bowen fantasia.

Read the caption under the photo:

““I am a defender of the BBC. It gets a lot of stick, which is not deserved. We do journalism that no one else has the will or resources to do. Despite big cuts, we still produce a lot of incredible stuff,” says Jeremy Bowen”

      Let’s break that down:

“I am a defender of the BBC.” Of course, who else would pay you for the shite you dish up.

“It gets a lot of stick, which is not deserved.” LOL. It deserves far MORE!

“We do journalism that no one else has the will or resources to do.” You got that right! Huge stories are ignored and that takes a LOT of will. The resources mean you SHOULD cover them but usually something trivial takes precedent.

“Despite big cuts, we still produce a lot of incredible stuff,” Cuts. cutz, CARTTZZZ. Not. And incredible, yes, in the literal sense i.e. unfuckingbelievable!

best summation of the issue is from Tim Worstall

    http://timworstall.com/2012/10/30/can-we-get-this-straight-please/

“It is not that wages are too low. The minimum wage is almost exactly what they say that poverty level is. It is that taxes on the poor are too high. Which is an easy problem to solve, something well within the government’s power. Stop taxing the poor so much.”

BBC-NUJ omits its complicity in Labour Party’s mass immigration ‘policy’ as cause of low wages and high unemployment in UK.
