GOING ROGUE…

You would need a heart of stone not to laugh at the irony;

“A presenter on the BBC consumer affairs show Rogue Traders has been jailed for 12 weeks for benefit fraud totalling more than £24,000. Dan Penteado, 40, from Bournemouth, admitted eight offences of dishonestly or knowingly claiming housing and council tax benefits.”

    • It's all too much says:

      That is quite a good idea – give the sheer number of BBC presenteres and actors that have been convicted of a wide range of crimes.

      Quite a lot of talent to chose from!

    But the thing that shocked me the most about this story was finding out that the BBC (us) paid him £57000 for riding his motorbike around for a few hours a week.

      Daylight robbery. But then coming courtesy of the totally undemocratic BBC TV Licence fee it would be!

    I demand a public enquiry!
    How many more crooks and conmen are the BBC harbouring , and putting on the payroll for the likes of this rogue to fleece.
    This obviously goes right to the top.
    More regulation and answerable to a People Commissariat for the BBC.
    People are saying that the BBC has got to be given an enema….they really are!
    More legislation please for the BBC…NOW!

    Not to mention the BBC presenters, told to say they are free lance (when they appear regularly in the BBC) for the purpose of, they say legal, tax evasion purposes when they channel their earnings through another source.

    The BBC is not so squeaky clean as they would make out and BBC bias should keep highlighting the BBC’s problems.

    I appreciate you spending some time and energy
    to put this article together. I once again find myself personally spending a significant
    amount of time both reading and commenting. But so
    what, it was still worth it!
