LOOK WHO’S BACK AT THE BBC

Yes, it’s Greg Palast:

“The BBC won’t let me tell you where I am. Just that we’re doing another investigation following from evidence in Vultures’ Picnic.”

Here’s Palast speaking at the lefty Fighting Bob Fest in September this year:

“This is Wisconsin, this is the place where you had some guy pour a beer on the head of a Republican state senator? No, no, no, that’s all wrong. You can’t do that. That’s just wrong. I’m from New York. If you’re going to pour beer on a Republican, you have to drink it first.”

There’s a possible clue to what Palast may be up to for the BBC on his website. On October 5 he posted an article headlined “Über-Vultures: The Billionaires Who Would Pick Our President” in which he attacks a small group of rich Republican supporters (including, of course, the left’s most-hated rich men – the Koch brothers).

Just before the 2008 election Palast produced a report for Newsnight in which he warned that the Republicans were going to steal the election. You may recall the outcome of that one. In 2006 he warned that the Republicans were going to steal the midterm elections. The Democrats won both houses of Congress and a majority of governorships. Now he’s warning that the GOP will have the presidency bought for them by a cabal of evil billionaires.

Unsurprisingly Palast – along with the rest of his BBC journalist chums – shows little interest in stuff like this:

GOP claims that the Obama administration’s green energy loan guarantee program is mired in cronyism grew on Friday after a company tied to Nancy Pelosi’s brother-in-law got the lion’s share of the final government hand-outs made before Friday’s end of the fiscal year.
The decision to guarantee $737 million comes hard on the heels of the loss of more than $500 million of government money due to the bankruptcy of solar panel company Solyndra…
The Solyndra scandal has cost taxpayers $535 million following the company’s bankruptcy in early September. The company, whose principals have given hundreds of thousands of dollars to Democratic causes is now being investigated by the FBI for fraud.

In an aticle last week about Obama’s fundraising, the LA Times said:

Obama’s campaign will also have support from California’s venture capital and green energy communities, which remain loyal to the president.

Little wonder when the rewards from his administration are so great.

And let’s not forget this information, which I mentioned last week, from the Washington Post:

Obama has brought in more money from employees of banks, hedge funds and other financial service companies than all of the GOP candidates combined, according to a Washington Post analysis of contribution data.

Again of no interest to the BBC.

So even though (or perhaps because) we have a Democrat administration increasingly mired in financial scandal, the BBC has brought back on board Republican-hating activist Greg Palast. It can only mean one thing: the BBC’s 2012 strategy is – once again – to attack the Republican Party. Not that we expected anything different, of course.

Those Koch brothers are the very devil !   They seek to rule the world – and Greg Palast will prove conclusively (to BBC standards of proof) that they are behind every single one of the Republican candidates,  they fund the Tea Party,  they fund all opposition to Warmism,  they own the US media ……….

    Back by popular demand eh?
Like Doug Stanhope, Greg Proops, Michael Moore, Bonnie Greer and Ruby Wax…guess the USA are taking revenge for leaving Mardell mouldering and moaning over there too long.
On days I give thanks for Gods greatest country…it`s always wise to think of the above, before reminding myself that ,when they get it wrong: the Americans produce a particularly nasty variant on humour or talent!

It’s significant that rather than use their in-house “talent” the BBC preferred to commission (at extra expense) a known activist with a vehement anti-Republican agenda. One would think they have enough Republican-hating journalists on their staff already, but perhaps Palast brings that extra level of bile. You mention Michael Moore – there’s no real difference politically between him and Palast, but I guess he was out their price range.

Imagine the likelihood of the BBC asking someone to produce a filmed report on, say, political funding in Gaza if that person had attended a rally and joked openly about pouring piss on members of Hamas. Simply. Wouldn’t. Happen.

Oh. FFS, not Palast again.  Nice post on this, DB. The BBC trusts Palast implicitly, because a certain Newsnight producer also believes only Republicans ever engage in voter fraud.  ACORN is innocent!

I guess that weak Bloomberg hit piece on the evil Koch brothers wasn’t good enough – so bad, even the WaPo’s ombudsman criticized it – so Palast is on the case!

A reminder of the propaganda Newsnight hired Palast to produce:

The Newsnight producer in question thinks that everything I say on this issue is worthless, though, because I misremembered which election he believes Bush stole.  No surprise that the BBC agrees with Occupiers who feel the system no longer works for them.

yet more Obama cronyism gone bad:

“Beacon Power Corp filed for bankruptcy on Sunday, just a year after the energy storage company received a $43 million loan guarantee from a controversial Department of Energy program… Walter Reed, the managing partner of the law firm representing Beacon Power in the acquisition of this loan, was an Obama donor in 2008, and also donated $10,000 to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee in 2010.”

It’s hard keeping up with it all. Impossible if you only get your news from the BBC.

I guarantee the BBC won’t be touching the Beacon Power story.   Kirsten Gillibrand was one of the Dem pols at the photo-op when the loan was guaranteed, and she has a big fan at the BBC. In a piece of supreme brown-nosing back in 2007 Katty Kay predicted Gillibrand would be the “second female president” (after Hillary). There is no chance Kay is going to let the BBC report anything which could reflect poorly one of her Dem friends.

Good grief. EnerDel, another of the green energy companies which the Obama administration threw millions of tax dollars at, has been delisted from NASDAQ. Incredible. Will the BBC report it? No. Greg Palast is on a different mission entirely and everybody else at BBC America has other, like, really important stuff to do.

But…but…but the BBC News Online won an award for its US coverage.  Choasen by a group of bien pensant fellow travellers, elevated abovve their peers who had lower budgets and no taxpayer funding.

So all our complaints are worthless. The Beeboids can confidently roll their eyes and laugh.
