SITE CHANGES

I’d like to ensure that as and from this post going up, fellow writers do their best to use that they use the “below the fold” facility to keep as many posts as possible up on the main entry page to the site. I think this helps our reader contribute as fully as possible to the many excellent posts. Thanks for your help and for your continued support.

    I’m all for increased use of the “Read More” instruction but it only makes sense if the number of posts which can be read is increased from the current nine.

      D.B. is quite right. No matter how lengthy a post is, the number of items per page appears to be limited to nine. I hadn’t realised that. Silly me. I thought the length of the article had something to do with it.
       
      So even if we were all to place the fold after the first line of copy, post number ten would still push the bottom one off the page.

      There were ten in the bed and the little one said “roll over”.

      So the long-winded among us affect this not at all. (Unless we format our longer contributions into nine separate small ones.)

      Update. I see it’s been changed!

    Given how much I enjoy the David P, Sue, Robin, Craig stuff…especially when the argument deserves the work that is clearly put in by these people(as well as many others who seem to specialise!)…any chance of a themed thread by topic or person even?…I could then do my monthly audits on what has happened…from Jansch to Savile via Gaddhafi as it were!
    I`ve no clue on any of it…but if the say “Letters from America” could be sequenced that would be great by me. If not, still fine by me!

    Good common sense request DV.  Contributers do use it, but they only remember to when a lot of page space has already been taken up!  I was wondering if this was for technical reasons or something?
