Once Upon A Time

They still don’t get the Arab Spring. They think toppling Gaddafi and Mubarak is the end, not the beginning. Even after Iraq, they still think this. Even after witnessing the chaos and the antisemitic frenzy in Egypt they think it. Even with the rise of Islamism they think it. Even with the new liberated Libya calling for sharia law they think it. Judging by the euphoric drivel I heard this morning, Zubeida Malik is going to tell us about the British Arabs’ participation in this glorious event, as though once the despots and tyrants are sent off everyone lives happily ever after.

10 minutes before Zubeida “reported” on the return of a Libyan exile to Libya (can we expect her family to re-settle in their homeland? I doubt it) Today dragged in Jimmy Carter to give his usual impartial anti-Israel comment on the Palestinian quest for their nationhood to be recognised by the UN.  Interestingly, as in all these interviews with members of the Palestinian lobby, the circumstances of the 1967 de facto change in the borders of Israel was ignored.  It’s exactly the same as the commentariat’s treatment of the 7/7 bombings; the bombings just “happened”: the Israelis just “happened” to have ended up holding the West Bank and Jerusalem.  Interestingly Carter calls for a return to the 1967 borders: why not the 1948 borders?  Maybe giving Israel official (UN mandated) recognition of a claim to the West Bank and an internationalised Jerusalem is too much for Jimmy (the worst US president since the war excepting, of course, the present incumbent).

    Well well well!

Al Quds al Arabi editor, and BBC darling, was on Gaddafi’s payroll

Arabic media has been reporting that the new Libyan government has released documents showing that Atwan, as well as Jordanian Al-Dostour reporter Khairy Mansour, were being paid by Gaddafi a sum of $3000 every month.

Atwan vehemently denies it and is threatening to sue everyone who makes these accusations.

Do you know how many times I questioned the description of Abdel Bari Atwan as an “independent” newspaper editor? Do you know how many smirks came my way? Do you know how many times I was ridiculed? This morning I feel good.

    (A reprise.)

As Islam Not BBC (INBBC) becomes increasingly Islamised and Arabised, INBBC propagandises more items like this one from ‘TODAY’, extolling Arabs in Britain and the same Arabs/ Muslims when they spend a little time  visiting an Islamic country which is apparently having an ‘Arab Spring’, but continuing under the same repressive Islamic rules in Islamic society as before.

All these middle class Arab folk will return to reside in Britain, despite the  INBBC propaganda for Islamic ‘Arab Springs’.

This is the usual INBBC propaganda [my words added in brackets]:

“The [brief] call of the Arab Spring for [middle class Arab] expats in Britain ”

    (by INBBC’s Zubeida Malik)

INBBC becomes more like AL JAZEERA, daily.
