Really it’s 73% get their news from TV and 70% of those get it from BBC TV. If you don’t want to go via my blog go to:

So, Murdoch’s 20% in terms of newspaper coverage is an abuse of market power, yet the BBC’s 80% over the broadcast media isn’t?

Murdoch’s position in newspapers is irrelevant, as there are numerous other titles directly competing with him. The market is open and that’s the way it should be. but that’s not the issue. What the lefties really can’t stomach – but cannot bear to admit it – is that in an open market that isn’t rigged, more people would prefer to pay to read Murdoch’s output than would pay to swallow their biased socialist claptrap.

So, what is needed is not a gag on Murdoch, but entirely the opposite – for the whole of the media to be fully open. This means dismantling the rigged broadcast  part of the media and exposing the  BBC to a direct competitor to counterbalance its inherent leftist bias.

It’s worse than that because EVERYONE knows that the newspaper sector is failing fast, readership of ALL titles is falling as you would expect really in ‘the digital age’. Plus the Sky business is a tiny percentage of all TV coverage and it requires paying for so will never be in a majority.

All this makes the lefty/BBC/Guardian clamouring against Murdoch even worse and highlights their mendacity

But when we all switch to digital Sky News will be available to all as it’s carried free on digital. The BBC dobn’t want that, the fact people might suddenly find that lies they are told on BBC news are exposed by watching Sky News.

The BBC want Sky News closed down.

Very true, but Sky is also full of lefties. Their coverage of the pre election debates was disgraceful. They had a so called ‘behaviour analyst’ saying that Cameron kept looking out of the side of his eye and ” people don’t like that, they regard it as looking shifty.” I had recorded it and wrote an email to the producers saying they were guilty of deceiving the public and if they replayed their tapes they could see that Cameron did NOT look out of the side of his eye once. They were also making an issue of Cameron not looking at the camera when in fact he did so just as regularly as Clegg.
Sky also have the odious, bigoted associate Editor of the Mirror Kevin Maguire on almost every day and IF they have someone to counter him it is the effete and ineffective  Mathews Paris who is obviously his mate.
Truth is the visual and audio media in this country WERE hand in glove with Labour and to a lesser extent, the Liberals up to the formation of the Coalition since when they have been firmly behind Labour.

Indeed – I was completely bemused a few years ago when Sky added a “CO2 Report” onto the end of their weather forecast. Some completely irrelevent nonsense about how many megatonnes of CO2 the UK had emitted that day (with absolutely no background info to put it in context – eg. % compared to CO2 from natural sources (< 3%) and UK% of total global manmade emissions (<2% of 3%). Even the BBC haven’t stooped to this level of alarmist propaganda (yet).

            http://www.newsonnews.net/skynews/1387-sky-news-launches-weekly-carbon-climate-report.html

Think they’ve abandoned it cos I haven’t seen it for a while.

Should also point out that Sky have had some kind of ‘sponsor a rainforest’ dealie going with WWF for some time. More alarmist crap.

It is worse than that; the BBC not only push (an endless) Leftist narrative, and distort the operations of the market, they seek to eliminate any view which does not serve the interests of the Leftist establishment.

It is not simply the questions they ask, nor the people they get to ask and answer them, it is far worse than that; they seek to eliminate (Soviet style) any encounter with an alternative view of the world.

So it is not simply the case that the BBC is institutionally incapable of producing a programme that (say) attacks the assumption that a big State (and a gravy train for Leftists such as themselves) is the answer to every problem, they will exclude any reference (except for a negative sneer) to an alternative analysis.

Actually it is even worse than that; not only do they push a big State narrative, distort the market with a taxpayer funded subsidy, and strive to have a near monopoly over public debate, they promote the views and interests of people who are actively seeking to destroy this country, and they seek to demonise anybody who seeks to uphold the qualities which have made us such an outstanding nation.

The BBC is a tax funded Leftist cancer. They are the greed, hypocrisy, totalitarian Guardian reader intolerance (not to mention the enemy loving stupidity) of the Leftist establishment personified.

PS We are forced (by threat of imprisonment) to pay for them.

What really frightens the BBC more than anything else would be:

FOX NEWS UK & FREE TO AIR.

At present the left in the form of the BBC has an almost total monopoly on UK news, they present their partisan bias and leftists bigotry as mainstream. Fox news UK would soon put a stop to that fraud, it would go from zero to overtaking the BBC viewing figures withing months. The leftist establishment are pissing themselves with fear at the prospect of losing their monopoly and will go to any lengths to stop it from happening.

That’s why the BBC want Sky broken up and sold off. Murdoch subsidises Sky News which loses something like 100 million a year, if Sky were broken up no one would want to fund Sky News and it would be forced to close.

Once we all switch to digital Sky News will be available to all, the BBC don’t like that.

I see Newsnight are going to be looking at the Mirror hacking allegations.

Heather Mills has stated her phone was hacked.

This is how I see the BBC spinning this for Piers Morgan and the  Mirror. There will be no guests on who want to attack Morgan (unlike Murdoch) and Heather Mills will be torn into for not having any proof other than her claim and being an attention seeker, you know just like the BBC/Guardian had all that proof that 9/11 victims etc were hacked… what you mean there is no proof? but the BBC keep telling us Murdoch personally hacked the phones of the dead as they fell from the twin towers.

Expect Newsnight to do a very gentle blow job for Piers Morgan so that they can claim they’ve been even handed on the hacking scandal.

I can’t remember but what items was the Mirror hacking on the BBC news this evening 6 or 7?

With Murdoch it’s easy to remember it’s always story 1.

Piers Morgan is a BIG fan of Gordon Brown and the BBC/Guardian will remember that.

    • Martin says:

What a shock as I predicted the BBC are running the Heather Mills smear story already. Piers Morgan is saying that she’s not trustworthy as she intercepted Paul McCartney’s messages. Well who cares, the issue is about what hacking the MIRROR did and what Morgan knew, but expect the BBC to simply run the Morgan comments as the defence.

Will the BBC bring up Ulrika Johnson and Sven? Probably not, the BBC will defend Morgan to the end because he loves Gordon Brown.

No no no, look how poor Piers is doing so well in the USA, remember how the poor soul was forced to publish those photos and lies slagging off and insulting Britsh soldiers. And look at his lovely hair, he can’t *possibly* be a naughty boy.

I noticed they held the discussion of Piers Morgan in front of 2 giant backdrops of Heather Mills staring manically. Nice way to divert attention aways from Labour lovey Piers.
