PINK VERSUS THE BBC

The guile of the BBC is a wonder to behold.
Consider this;

The BBC is facing action by gay viewers and listeners, who have been asked to withhold the licence fee in protest at a succession of broadcasts that have been criticised as homophobic. In an important development, the influential Pink News website has published an editorial calling for viewers to take co-ordinated action against the corporation as a way of making their voices heard on this issue. “No other group of people is subjected to the same level of insult by the BBC as the LGBT community,” it said, suggesting that viewers who only watched on-demand television could avoid paying the licence fee

Who would have guessed that “no other group of people” were subjected to greater insult by the BBC than the poor old LGBT? All the more surprising considering the number of gay people working for the BBC! I could venture to suggest that WCPH’s (White Christian Patriotic Heterosexuals) possibly edge ahead of the cruelly oppressed LGBT’s in the BBC insult stakes but hey, who am I to criticise Pink News? Ahem.

However that is all beside the point.

The complaint about the BBC is based on the fact that it allowed what is called a “fundamentalist” Christian, Stephen Green, to be the sole commentator in a report in its News at Six bulletin on the surrogate birth of a son to the gay couple Sir Elton John and David Furnish.

“This isn’t just a designer baby for Sir Elton John, this is a designer accessory,” said Green, who represents the group Christian Voice and is an outspoken critic of homosexual relationships.

Now then, the BBC knew exactly what it what was doing here in putting up Green and in generating this whinge from the perpetually outraged Gay fraternity. It helps the State Broadcaster justify a further year of pandering to militant gays and all in the name of equality!
But if a threat of co-ordinated refusal to pay License Tax until perceived editorial balance is restored has such an impact on BBC bosses then  maybe those of us sickened by the left-wing only perspective of SO MANY of BBC stories might want to think how we can pressurise the State Broadcaster in this New Year? Just sayin’….

Yes, this brings me onto a question I’ve been meaning to ask for a long time.

As a forum, has there been a standard letter drafted to the licence fee authorities stating that I refuse to pay because of the clear news/political bias and dumming down of programs? (with examples if necessary – there are a few)

I’m getting fed up of it to be honest…I don’t want to pay for this anymore. I’m not gay either.

That bloody Elton John’s “baby” business really made me cringe.  The both of them are cringeworthy and horrible anyway.  I’d like to bang their stupid heads together.  But I suppose when you’re a celebrity of any gender, your money can buy, and allow you to get away with, just about anything, because the sheeple are hopelessly, blindly enamoured.  Makes me sick.

Cool.  So if I pretend to be gay I can stop paying the licence fee.

    Sign me up.

(I wanted to make some witty reference to gay culture in this comment but unfortunately I don’t know anything about it.)

Nice to see that DV wants to start 2011 in his usual form, by completely ignoring the issues at hand in favour of advancing his own prejudices, safe in the knowledge that the usual feckle lickspittles will massage his ego in the comments that follow.

Stephen Green is an affront to anyone who calls themselves a Christian. Thankfully, Christian Voice’s level of actual support is so minuscule that it’s even less popular than the TUV, but it’s a shame that BBC News sought the opinion of such an extreme, misguided man.

lickspittles”? why because we don’t agree with you ? I am a atheist and a hieratic so have no religious view point either way but in this country as on this blog  he and us are entitled to have prejudices just like the detractors! whether you or I like it or not !.

      hahahaha

so presumably they are entitled to the full and rigorous backing of the “yoomin rites” laws of this country

or is that just for poofs who like sticking it up one another’s buttholes?

It was also used in the film “doctor Zhivago” by the real revolutionary against the Bolshevik commisars as he was being taken to Siberia.

the unfortunate thing is all the pinkos don’t amount to a hill of beans when it comes to a percentage of the UK population,so the effect on the BBC tax will be miniscule…….unfortunately

doesn’t stop them exerting an inversely proportional effect on the rest of the country though

talk about the tail wagging the dog!!

Proportionately, Jews don’t make up that much of the population either. In fact, there are probably more “poofters who like sticking it up one another’s bumhole” (Jesus, are you still at primary school?) than there are Jews.

People aren’t allowed to make hate speech against the Jews, deny the Holocaust, incite hatred or violence against Jewish people – and damn right too (my grandfather was Jewish).

I can’t really see what the problem is with gay people demanding the same right.

Is there now an organised campaign  of murdering Christians in muslim countries. Why is both the BBC and the Archbishop of Canterbury keeping such a low profile about this?

One has to presume that Pink News has never listened to any ‘issue’ of the day ‘debated’ by such as Newsnight or the Jeremy Vine Show.

The only requirement is to get two rabid extremes in and stir up viewers into a ratings riot.

Thing is, in 99.99% of cases (that’s a BBC ‘split’ BTW), the host usually makes things very sticky for the ‘wrong view’, the researchers usually ensure that the vox pops let through complement this, and the edit suite is always there to have the most narrative enhancing summary from the ‘debate’ ready for top of the hour news.

So if this one didn’t quite swing the way a small but vocal minority expected for once, if they have any slight sense of what actually represents BBC impartiality now… WELCOME TO OUR WORLD, LUVVIES!

Yes, for these homobigots BBC bias is not being 100% bias in their favour all the time.  One suspects only voicing the opinion of Stephen Green a got up job anyway to justfify this homobigot hysteria from Pink News to silence all and any opinion they dont like being broadcast.

The ‘Gay’ angle is really fairly irrelevant. What is relevant is how the BBC defends themselves from the complaint.

Stephen Green’s book, ‘the Sexual Dead End’, is a ‘must read’ for anyone who truly wants to get beyond the propaganda spread by homosexual activists and those who just want the freedom to pursue their perversions. I think it came out in 1992 and is very well researched and not just for Christian people. It’s available on the Christian Voice website.
