HOW EVIL ARE BP?

BP: BARACK'S PATSY
The BBC in full synchronised cry with Obama regarding the evils of BP. The game seems to be one of proving how poor BP have behaved so far, then daring Cameron to kick Obama’s ass. In all of this, there is a visceral hatred of a successful once British company and a desire to somehow socialise “Big Oil” by “spreadin’ some of that wealth around.” It seems the BBC approves of the idea that BP profits should fund all those US businesses whose profits may have been affected by the Gulf oil spill. The commercial madness of this seems to pass them by but then again since the BBC exists by parasitically feeding of us, maybe it feels this is the best model to follow?

BIOFUEL NONSENSE….

Don’t ya just love ’em – the greenies? BBC global warmist alarmist Mark Kinver details here the truly terrifying row between “environmentalists” and the European Commission over biofuels. On the one side, the EU is doing what it does best – creating new layers of lunatic bureaucracy to “certify” that forests cut down for biofuel are not doing ecological harm. They proudly declare that their new laws are the “most stringent” (i.e. most repressive) in the world. Over in the other corner, those “environmentalists” (to the BBC, the most saintly group of people on earth) are yelping that – despite years of pressure to force biofuel production – they now think that cutting down trees by the million to do so is not a good idea. Mr Kinver, of course, reports it all without any attempt at balance. Centre stage in his mincing words are Sebastien Risso of Greenpeace, and – how utterly shameful that this should be the case – the Conservative MEP spokesman, who apparently applauds and supports the EU measures.

Not one squeak, of course, from Mr Kinver about the twin elephants in the room: It was the greenies who caused this idiotic quest for biofuels when we don’t need them, and are now reaping the whirlwind; and that the EU’s role in ploughing on relentless to wreak ecological havoc is beyond parody, but entirely true to form. We are ruled by eurocrats (supported by the Cleggerons)who make Stalin look amateur.

Question Time LiveBlog 10th June 2010

Question Time tonight comes from Plymouth, a city with the 11th largest University in the United Kingdom by number of students, and the largest operational naval base in Western Europe – HMNB Devonport.

Plymouth is represented by the three constituencies of Plymouth Moor View (Oliver Colvile Con), Plymouth Sutton and Devonport (Alison Seabeck Lab) and South West Devon (Gary Streeter Con).

On the panel we have SecState for Culture, Olympics, Media and Sport Jeremy Hunt, his Shadow Little Ben Bradshaw, Respect leader and Spokesman for Birmingham Central Mosque Salma Yaqoob, food writer Toby Young and Katie Hopkins (apparently a 2007 contestant on The Apprentice, once a stand-by contestant for Big Brother and with a sex life frequently splashed in gruesome detail across the tabloids).

For those playing the Buzzword Bingo, we’ll be invoking the Nothing New Under The Sun Rules which means that all of last week’s topics Gun Control, Israeli Piracy, and BP Oil Slick score a rollover bonus. Those with the phrase “Afghanistan” or “Labour Leadership” on their cards advance four squares, and any positive references to “Geert Wilders” result in an instant win.

As usual the LiveBlog will also cover the entertainingly awful This Week, presented by Brillo in cahoots with Michael Portillo and Caroline Flint.

David Vance, TheEye and David Mosque will be holding back the hordes of barbarians here from 10:30pm.

SPAIN’S GOLDEN PAST

Interesting BBC treatment of the Spanish past. On the one hand, in this programme “The Art of Spain” the BBC proclaims the glorious Islamic rule that Spain enjoyed and how much we owe to that missed Muslim golden age. Then, on the other hand in this programme “The Dark Heart” we learn of the evils of Catholic Spain. Meme is simple; Islam = Good. Christian = bad.

GIVE THEM JUST A LITTLE MORE TIME….

An Iranian woman holds a banner in support of Iran's nuclear programme at the Isfahan Uranium Conversion Facility, 2005
I suppose when we consider that the report is by Barbara Plett (Remember her?) we should not be too surprised to read the Mad Mullah’s plans to bring about a Second Holocaust gets a sympathetic press. Headed “Fourth Iran sanctions; Last Resort or Lost Opporunity?” Plett ensures that any tough approach to Iran is contextualised against the background of a kindly artistic people whose only crime  is toy seek nuclear energy. Can’t we just given them just a little more time?

EASTON ON INTEGRATION..

Did you read this curious piece by Mark Easton?

The home secretary says her demand that foreign wives and husbands of British citizens learn basic English before they come to the UK is about promoting integration. But critics claim there’s a more sinister and discriminatory reason for introducing the new rules.

So it’s now ‘sinister’ to demand people speakEnglish? Oh well this is what you might expect “critics” to say.  Mark then reveals his own thoughts on the issue…

The real issue here is not integration or removing cultural barriers, it might be argued. It is about trying to reduce the economic impact of a legacy of British colonial rule.

Easton reveals his own typical BBC antipathy to our British heritage. Little wonder the BBC was such a cheer-leader for the destructive policies of Labour that forced unrestricted unassimilated immigration down our throats,

BAD REPUTATION DESERVED

This was pointed out to me as an example of the pernicious menace of the BBC.  Have a read.

We’re all told to watch our carbon footprint these days, but some so-called “environmental nasties” are not as bad as you might think – at least from a carbon point of view, says Mike Berners-Lee.

Can you guess what are “good” environmental activities, at least from a carbon point of view? Yes, make yourself a nice cup of tea, read a book and switch on the TV, then settle down and let the BBC educate you. Social engineering, using the green pretext, on the license fee. How long before those who refuse to follow such helpful “advice” are damned as carbon criminals?

LIKE MINDS

Has anyone being following the terrifying messages being delivered with chilling fanaticism in this year’s annual BBC propaganda-fest, the Reith lectures? Lord Rees of Ludlow regards humankind as a disease or a “fever”. Man-made global warming is an indisputable fact that must be tackled before and above everything else. He talks menacingly about over-population and unsustainability (so did Hitler). He postulates a new cadre of scientists (who think similarly to himself, of course) to control political decisions. He demands that CO2 consumption be rationed throughout the world at much lower levels than that in the west (thereby condemning millions to fuel poverty). He wants Britain to focus away from traditional manufacturing (i.e. that which provides what people actually want) towards green energy (ie on what they don’t want, that doesn’t work, isn’t necessary, and is viable only with massive subsidy).

In short, this is the groupthink and the creed of the BBC; it’s through these talks you can see the true mindset and agenda.

UNITED WE STAND…

Did you listen to this interview with Comrade Derek Simpson? I felt that Justin Webb was nipping at his ankles but holding off from taking a bite out of him. Why was no-one from BA interviewed? It seems obvious that Unite are losing this one but Comrade Simpson was dodging any responsibility for this and Webb let him.
