BBC TRUST PROPAGANDA ROLE REVEALED

The BBC remains predictably silent about the allegations against Dr Ravendra Pachauri, the head of the IPCC, despite further revelations about his conflicts of interests (to put it mildly) in the Sunday Telegraph and around the world. Meanwhile, the BBC World Service Trust, a body that soaks up cash from the UK Foreign Office and is the cosy-cosy gatekeeper to the UK’s international aid efforts, continues its frenzied efforts to spread Pachauri’s moonshine about ‘climate change’. This page says it all. In fact, the so-called Trust’s role is formally to spread such lies:

We aim to:
* Help people protect their food supplies and incomes as the climate changes
* Train and strengthen local media to raise environmental issues and stimulate debate
* Prepare local media to provide life-saving broadcasts during natural disasters; and
* Make sure all our work considers the effect on the environment

For “environment”, of course, read ‘climate change’. In the BBC’s eyes, the two are interchangeable.

The BBC World Service Trust, TERI (Director General – RK Pachauri), the EU and environmental NGOs.

From the BBC World Service Trust website:

We worked in partnership with The Energy Resources Institute (TERI), Television Trust for the Environment (TVE) and the Stockholm Environment Institute to mobilise public opinion around the environment by improving the media’s coverage of environmental issues and helping environmental activists communicate their messages more effectively…
During the training programme, EU trainers and Indian journalists produced 18 television documentaries and nine newspaper campaigns to highlight environmental issues, including climate change, water sources, waste management, soil degradation, pesticides, air pollution, deforestation and green house gas emissions…
Ninety representatives from environmental NGOs participated in one week seminars designed to improve their media skills.
During the seminars each participant developed a PR strategy for their organisation…
We worked with our not-for-profit partner in India, TERI, to develop their TV production skills and strengthen their ability to provide environmental training to NGOs on an ongoing basis.
Five TERI staff attended a three-week digital editing workshop to hone their skills in a range of post-production techniques. During the workshop, trainees practiced on the documentaries produced during the project. The course was led by a BBC trainer.

(Apologies if this has already been mentioned elsewhere – not had chance to catch up yet)

Yes, Rowlett and his crazy guilt about his having three children!:

      Rowlett:

“Normally the birth of a child is a moment of pure celebration. Not for me.
“When my lovely daughter Elsa was born (our third child) I had to justify her very existence.
“Her birth came half-way through my year of carbon cutting as the BBC’s Ethical Man so my family life was under intense scrutiny.
I discovered that lots of people (who I am sure are very pleasant in their everyday lives) believe very strongly that the world is already full, and new Elsas are simply not welcome.”

I presume he means that some of his ‘greenie’ acqaintances were crazy fanatics.

Rowlett gets one thing correct, for a society to continue without a fall in population, it needs to sustain a reproduction rate of at least 2.1 children per couple, but Rowlett is not concerned with the real problems of the consequences of the UK’s, and Europe declining birth rate of the indigenous populations, and the much higher birth rates of many immigrants from e.g. Asia and Africa; Rowlett is only concerned with pollution, overpopulation and this crazy guilt!

      Not discussed by Rowlett:

      “Muslim Europe:
the demographic time-bomb tranforming our continent”

Sometimes I think the BBC should change its name to HBC which I alternatingly think should staad for Hampstead or Hamas broadcasting corporation. Seeing this story I think the H should stand for Herod ie the murder of the innocents.

Has he never heard of birth control? If he feels so guilty maybe he should be doctored.

That is not the Trust’s raison d’etre and role as such. That linked extract only reflects its environmental role. I found the notion of a BBC Trust with the role quoted in the blog post so surprising and so unlikely that I looked it up. What it is and what it does is a bit of a revelation to me nevertheless. According to its home page, it is an international charity, funded mainly by DFID, with contributions from a few other sources, including the UN. I’d had no idea of the existence of this international charity until now.

I just posted this on BBC points of view but have recently had it banned for “breaking house rules”:

The BBC has been very silent, somewhat predictably, about the allegations against Dr Ravendra Pachauri, the head of the IPCC.

Despite a number of revelations about his huge conflicts of interest, the BBC World Service Trust, a body that soaks up cash from the UK Foreign Office continues in its efforts to spread Pachauri’s spin about “climate change”.

Pachauri has established an astonishing worldwide portfolio of business interests with bodies which have been investing BILLIONS of dollars in organisations dependent on the IPCC’s policy recommendations.

    No conflict of interest here???

It is remarkable how only very recently has the staggering scale of Dr Pachauri’s links to so many of these concerns have come to light, raising questions as to how the world’s leading ‘climate official’ can also be personally involved in so many organisations which stand to benefit financially from the IPCC’s recommendations.

Once again, not a whisper about this from the supposedly impartial BBC, which really is day-by-day losing any justification for charging the license fee.

I cannot decide which is worse, Pachauri’s dodgy dealing, or the BBC’s non-reporting of it.

That mission statement reads as though the BBC have stepped out of journalism and into NGO territory. Any lawyers in the room, I’d like my money back.

At least it gives those who wish to see it a full view of the real agenda hiding behind the fake concern for man made global warming, the true intentions just shine through.
The creation of a new world order based on so called progressive idealism using a faked up scare story as cover, the building up of a shadow state that crosses borders and circumvents the traditional role of the national electorate, these NGOs/quangos are able to side step the current democratic process while being lavishly funded by the current states, they are growing in power and influence like a cancer, they are unnacountable and sectretive as they build the connections they need to begin their takover of the national democracies they are killing.
This shadow state uses the poor and starving with breathtaking cynical opportunism to build up their power base and financial strength, think of how these NGOs can use a poodle media to ‘raise awareness’ by preying on peoples emotions and feelings of guilt. How many times has the public been subjected to heart rending scenes of starvation while the real reasons are carefully hidden from the gullible and trusting viewer?
You see the images of desperate poverty and starvation in places like Nigeria and kenya but what is kept form the viewer are the scenes of lavish wealth, flash cars and full trendy shops filled with fat rich people not far down the road. If people actually knew the truth about the reasons why African children die in misery they would not be so keen to cough up the money. If people knew how much money was stolen by corrupt African nations and wasted on big armies and salted away in Swiss accounts while thier own people starved the NGO blood suckers would be lucky to raise a tenner, so the truth is hidden.
If people knew the truth behind the poverty industry and its cynical use of the poor and hungry to expand its influence and power then there would be an outcry, this lucrative industry that preys on the guilt of ordinary people and thrives by assisting the worlds most despicable regimes in creating the conditions for poverty that the NGOs need so much.
The poverty industry needs starving people, the third world despotic regimes need aid to steal, they both need a willing media to peddle the heart rending scenes to a gullible and guilty population, the poverty industry has grown fat and wealthy on the backs of starving people, the very last thing these NGO parasites want is to eradicate starvation and poverty, its their meal ticket!
