DON’T HOLD YOUR BREATH….

So far, the BBC has done virtually nothing about Climategate, and as David notes in the previous post, if anything, has cranked up its AGW reporting to fever pitch. This is what Richard Black says on his blog this morning:

As far as I’ve been able to ascertain, climate politics elsewhere remains unimpressed by allegations that the CRU documents undermine the very basis of the forthcoming negotiations; but it’s a question that I will be asking when the Copenhagen talks open.

I don’t know where he’s been doing his “ascertaining” (he could try, for simple starters, here, here or here)but such a response is deeply, deeply dishonest, and illustrates just how seriously wrong the BBC is on this issue.

I will await with interest to hear just how hard he pursues the question he intends to put. But don’t hold your breath. He’ll probably be as tough and persevering as Evan Davis was when he ‘interviewed’ Bob Geldof this morning on Today (that is, he listened admiringly to every word of nonsense he uttered).

There should be no issue with the FOI’s so one guy says on radio 4, all/most of the data is out there in the public domain for the likes of McIntyre.

“data is in the public domain”

    1. The data (manipulated or unvarnished?) is out there in the public domain.
    2. Nice honest guy Jones has been so exasperated at McIntyre’s FOI requests which were never needed in the first place.

The BBC doesn’t press on the inconsistencies in the guests allegations.

So the crooked fraud Black asks around for an explanation for the fraudulant scam at the CRU but for some strange reason(yeah!)he only asks the opinions of the crooked lying fraudsters involved in the crooked scam.
Its like asking Harold Shipman, did you commit mass muder Harold? and harold says, er…uhm…no? oooh thats alright then no need to investigate any further!
What kind of credulous muppets does the crooked fraudster Black think we are?

Black is no better than Jones/Mann/Hansen/Briffa/Shmidt, he is betraying the very people who trust him to tell the truth.

BTW Mr Black is upto his neck in the scam, he has assisted and helped the fraud and is very close to the fraudsters involved, his entire reporting history has been a catalogue of fraudulant lies and trash.

Is there any chance of one comment thread for all Climategate posts? There are so many posts on this rich seam that contributors comments are scattered everywhere and it might be easier to develop arguments if they were all in one place.

as an interesting side point, Google have censored the word ‘climategate’ from their autocomplete search function. Hint – Al Gore is a senior advisor to Google

That’s hilarious.  All those politians and pundits who have a vested interest in maintaining the facade of Warmism because they will look like complete and utter fools if they suddenly back out now haven’t appeared to change their minds just because of Climategate?  That’s where he looks for reassurance?  Black is a tool.

According to Lord Monckton, one of his team found a secret 186-page document hidden/buried as an annex to another document on the UN website. This document was, in fact, a secret treaty to be signed by all the World Leaders at the Copenhagen junket – a treaty which would establish a World Government based at the UN – so even “climate change” is only part of the big picture. Needless to say, Lord Monckton intends to kick up a right stink in Copenhagen – now we know why Obama changed his mind about going there! >:o

Has anyone issued an FOI request on emails between Harriban and Black and also between both of them and Dr “delete” Jones at the CRU?

On another matter, I see Harrabin blogs about the inquiry into the CRU Climategate scandal and the issue on whether it will be independent. He then writes this without see the irony:

“But Professor Sir John Houghton, chair of the IPCC’s first science panel, said he would not support an inquiry as many of those demanding one were biased.”

You’ve got to laugh if it was not so serious for the taxpayer.

The “climate scientists” implicated in Climategate clearly think of Black as one of their own.  When the fair article “Whatever Happened to Global Warming” (written by Paul Hudson, weatherman with a First in Geophysics and Planetary Physics) appeared on the BBC website, the Team were not amused.  Here’s Michael Mann in one of the emails:

“extremely disappointing to see something like this appear on BBC. its particularly odd, since climate is usually Richard Black’s beat at BBC (and he does a great job). from what I can tell, this guy was formerly a weather person at the Met Office.
We may do something about this on RealClimate, but meanwhile it might be appropriate for the Met Office to have a say about this, I might ask Richard Black what’s up here?

      Ben,

Paul Hudson is the BBC “Look North” Weatherman here in Yorkshire (the 6.30pm 30 minute local news programme) and I am glad to see he is still around despite the furore his article caused amongst the Global Cooling Deniers. That said, I have not seen him make any direct reference to Climategate yet, though I am sure he is being ribbed scenes about the stir he caused.
