£30,000 Question

There seems to be some confusion as to whether £30,000, an apology, or just an offer of an apology is on the table, but it does appear that the Muslim Council of Britain has demanded one or all of these from the BBC, and that the BBC has acquiesced.
Certain remarks were made by Charles Moore when he was a panellist on Question Time that the MCB consider a slur. His remarks were very similar to those made in a letter from Hazel Blears to the Guardian which she is not apologising for, and which seem to substantiate Mr Moore’s remarks.

This news raises ‘Many Questions’, for example:
Why didn’t the MCB make as much fuss over the disgraceful demo in Luton as they’re doing over the ‘slur?’
Or: Will any criticism of the ROP soon be made illegal?

This is a completely wrong stance for the BBC, a publicly funded body, to take. They know full well that a large number of the “RoP?” did celebrate the killing of our troops as they also celebrated the twin towers disaster. The BBC should be stripped of it’s charter and the licence fee for the way it supports terrorism against us, the British. Heads must roll!

I’ve been covering this over at the blog. The BBC is self-censoring AND kowtowing to this Jihad-supporting Muslim brotherhood front group, when it should be upholding free speech and the right to criticise.

But was we all know, when it comes to the RoP, al-Beeb has never encountered depths to which it will not sink.

How touching that the BBC is prepared to apologise to the MCB for an opinion expressed by one panellist on a BBC show.

Now I’m sure the BBC will apologise to the Israeli government and the Jewish people for decades of anti-Israel bias, half-truths and lies pumped out by an endless stream of Palestinian terror-supporting BBC hacks.

Just what the Brits need to do in order to assure that the Muslims will take over their country…kiss their butts! Why can’t we in the West value our traditions, democracy, and way of life enough to face up to the Muslims. Tell them, “If you don’t like it here, get the hell back to where you came from.”

Yeah, get back to Blackburn, Southall and Bradford!

Following a spate of recent cases, I’m wondering whether Muslims are disproportionately responsible for crimes of fraud.

Apparently, Blackburn and Bradford are the top two towns in Britain for so-called ‘crash for cash’ insurance fraud.

It appears from this BBC report that the BBC is not denying the truth of Moore’s allegation only that it was “unfair”. It is doubly disgraceful: not only is the BBC accommodating these blackmailers but the rest of us are being taxed to pay the blackmail.

The BBC should show resistance, and stop playing the dhimmi to the Muslim Council of Britain; as Sue says, the BBC should check out the Blears example on this:

    ‘Mail’

“Hazel Blears cuts ties to Muslim Council of Britain after it refuses to condemn controversial senior member” (25th March 2009).

    [Extract]:

“Ministers have severed links with Britain’s leading Muslim group in a blazing row over extremism.
Communities Secretary Hazel Blears is angry that the Muslim Council of Britain has refused to condemn a senior member who signed a public declaration in support of Hamas.
“The document, signed by the council’s deputy secretary-general Daud Abdullah, also seemingly advocated attacks on the Navy if it tried to stop arms intended for Hamas being smuggled into Gaza.”

What in God’s name are we thinking about? Not only do these people support the notion of killing British soldiers, they also openly call for the murder of an author who has written something of which they do not approve. Add to this “Kill all the Jews!” which seems to be a fundamental part of their belief system – If I or anyone else set up an organisation with such murderous intent at its core, I hope that organisation would be banned, ostracised and condemned by government and right thinking people. What are we doing tolerating this madness.?

While BBC speedily capitulates to Muslim Council of Britain, at the same time the BBC refuses to report on murder trial of ‘Muslim Barbarians’ in Paris.

In contrast, ‘Atlas Shrugs’ (Pamela Geller) has:

“THE ‘MUSLIM BARBARIAN’ CONFESSES TO SETTING JEWISH ILAN HALIMI ALIGHT: ‘ALLAH WILL BE VICTORIOUS’.”

“A lesson for Obama about civil trials of terrorists. If one thug can strike fear into a jury, imagine a GITMO terrorist.”

    “From ‘Paris Match’:

    [Extract]:

“A l’ouverture du procès, vers 10h40, Youssouf Fofana, le crâne rasé et portant un collier de barbe, vêtu d’une veste blanche, a affiché un large sourire. Pointant son doigt vers le ciel, il a clamé : “Allah vaincra”.

    an English translation:

“at the opening of the trial, around 10 40 AM, Youssouf Fofana, with shaved head , neck collar, wearing a white vest proclamed with a smile and his finger toward the sky ‘ Allah will be victorious'”

    [..]

Youssouf Fofana, the presumed leader of the “gang of barbarians”, confessed on Friday to killing French Jew Ilan Halimi in 2006 after detaining and torturing him for three weeks, said a source familiar with the case.

The trial is being held behind closed doors at a juvenile court in Paris because two of the remaining 26 defendants were minors at the time of the murder.

According to the source, who was present at the hearing, Fofana said “Yes, I did it; you know very well that it was me” during the presentation of the findings of two forensic experts who had examined Halimi’s body.

AFP further quoted the source as saying that Fofana admitted to pouring a flammable liquid on Halimi and then setting him alight.

    […]

“French authorities found 23-year-old Halimi naked, handcuffed and covered with burn marks near railroad tracks in the Essonne region south of Paris on Feb. 13, 2006.

“He died on the way to the hospital and was later buried in Israel.

“After the murder, Fofana fled to Ivory Coast, where he made death threats by telephone to Halimi’s father and girlfriend. He was extradited to France on March 4, 2006 and was charged with premeditated murder, demanding ransom, and acts of torture and barbarism. He faces a possible maximum sentence of life imprisonment.” (‘Atlas shrugs’.)

Oh, the BBC does give space to a jewel theft in Paris, but NOT to the Halimi trial.

and another when the trial opened on 29th April2009

Fairly low key reports, but ..reports at least.

Much as I do not hold any great respect for the Chippy Chipmonk, I think she was quite correct to tell the Bigots of the MCB that she will see them in court.
If Al’BBC had the cojones they would take the same attitude and tell these idiots to “Bring it on”.
The MCB is as bigoted as the BNP and about as bright. If they don’t like my comments, well… 🙂

Why should we worry about the odd £30,000 of our money that the BBC chooses to give to those sections of society it admires unconditionally?

What about about the £6 million it gives every year to a chat show host who makes masturbatory jokes about an ex-prime minister? Or the billions it wastes making rubbish like Eastenders, Top Gear, Casualty, Cash in the Attic and Celebrity Cash in the Attic year after year?

Well of course not, he’a a Labour MP.

So just how did a hand written note to claim back £5 for a Battle of Britain donation end up on a claim then? Don’t MPs have to submit their own claims.

You just know fat scumbag Nolan would NEVER give a Tory MP an easy time.

Googling this story produces pages of results. All agree that the MCB have so far rejected the offer of £30,000 “amends” and are demanding an on-air apology. Top solicitor firm Carter -Ruck has been hired to pursue this.

There is a time delay before Question Time goes out so the BBC’s solicitors can vet it, they must have thought it was okay.

The government has so far not caved in to the MCB and their similar legal claim for the Hazel Blears “slur”.

If the MCB is getting seriously litigious we’ll all have to watch what we say.

It’s not the money, it’s the capitulation.. After all what’s £30,000 of tax payers’ dosh to the BBC? After all, they spent £200,000 on keeping the Balen report quiet.

    ‘Scotsman’ (31 May):

“BBC refuses on-air apology over Question Time ‘Muslim slur'”

    [Opening extract]:-

“The BBC has rejected calls for an on-air apology over controversial remarks made by a ‘Question Time’ panellist that Muslim leaders in the UK were encouraging the slaughter of British troops.

“Following the broadcast in March and comments made by journalist Charles Moore, the corporation has reportedly offered to pay £30,000 to the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) and carry an apology on the Question Time website.”

‘Harry’s Place’ on MCB (26 Jan)

“MCB boycotts Holocaust Memorial Day again”

    [Extract]:

“The Muslim Council of Britain was never happy with HMD. The only reason they ever attended in the first place, was that the Government had refused to engage with them, unless they did.

“But things change so quickly. Sympathetic ministers have gradually been including MCB representatives in more and more discussions and consultation processes.”

Yet another completely dhimmified, outrageous betrayal from the BBC. Are they going to payout compensation to The Israeli Council of Britian and the millions of jews it represents for decades of skewed,pro-palestinian, anti-semitic bias it has broadcast?? I’m guessing not. Why we are forced to fund this terrible organisation I will never understand. Worse still, they are allowing £30,000 of the public purse’s hard earned money to go unjustified to a terrorist-affiliated, jihadist organisation. Frightening. And yes, if ony the MCB had of expressed this amount of rage towards the apalling assault on our soldiers on Luton. When pigs fly perhaps.

Regulars here will remember when the subversive and treasonous BBC called for information on coalition troop movements in Iraq, and then tried to worm its way out of it by claiming it had used a Bad Phrase..and I recall the dismissive and contemptuous 10-second slot BBC TV gave to British troops returning from Afghanistan while Sky devoted two minutes to the same event. The BBC was defended on Newswatch by a senior BBC TV editor named Jawad Iqbal or something like that. And a very poor defence it was since you can’t defend the indefensible. Not sure if a link will be available because it was quite a while ago. When I get a bit of time I’ll try to scout for it.

Point is, not only is the BBC is riddled with leftie Brits who think it is oh so cool and cutting edge to be sympathetic to Islamic terror while scorning their fellow-Brits, it has crossed a red line in many respects and is actively working for the ascendancy of radical Islam over the West. This is being pushed from within the corporation by those who have no loyalty whatsoever to Britain. And they are meeting very little resistance indeed from those few within the BBC who might feel differently.

If for no other reason than this, the BBC has to be fought all the way.

Mmmmn, could be. Or it could be that the MCB threatened to take legal action and that BBC lawyers considering the comments made, believed them to be potentially libellous.

But hey, much better for the Daily Mail and assorted nutjobs here to dress this up as another acquiescence to Muslims wet dream. Perhaps they should all be concentrated…in a big camp. How empty your lives must be.

The BBC is being cowardly in surrendering to this threat of legal action.

A defence could easily be mounted based on evidence from the MCB’s own website.

Here is an MCB press release lauding Yusuf al-Qaradawi.

The Muslim Council of Britain deplores the government’s decision to refuse a visa to the renowned Islamic scholar Dr Yusuf al-Qaradawi.

‘Yusuf Al Qaradawi enjoys unparalleled respect and influence throughout the Muslim world. I am afraid this decision will send the wrong message to Muslims everywhere about the state of British society and culture. Britain has had a long and established tradition of free speech, debate and intellectual pursuit. These principles are worth defending, especially if we would like to see them spread throughout the world,” said Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari, Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Britain.http://www.mcb.org.uk/media/presstext.php?ann_id=286

In September 2004, Qaradawi proclaimed that it was a religious obligation for Muslims to fight U.S. and British troops in Iraq. The communiqué, signed by Qaradawi and 93 other clerics, said that “the Jihad – waging Iraqi people’s resistance to the foreign occupation … is a Shari’a duty incumbent upon anyone belonging to the Muslim nation, within and outside Iraq, who is capable of carrying it out,” and that it was “forbidden for any Muslim to offer support to the occupiers.”

    http://www.investigativeproject.org/992/qaradawis-extremism-laid-bare

So – if the MCB supports Qaradawi, admitting it pays him “unparalleled respect” and al Qaradawi calls for the killing of British troops, then a libel jury will have little problem joining the dots.
