I think we know the answer – Christophobia trumps all in the PC theology.

Onereason for the silence (although there are many that constitute the mentality of the Socialists at the BBC) as we all know, is the contempt the BBC has for Christianity generally, and in particular for the (perceived or otherwise) threat that Christianity poses to a shift of power from ordinary people to the State.

As far as the BBC and Socialists generally are concerned, the State knows best, and we should get back in our place and stay there.

It seems to me that Christians are the largest single organised group left in the world that are opposed to Socialism, and hence expecting any sympathetic view from the white middle class arrogance that abounds at the BBC is completely pointless.

I appologise to those who feel i’m stating the bleeding obvious.

Of course there are Atheists amoung us who believe in freedom and think that all religion is bogus. Meaning that Christianity and Judaism are (in princple – you can argue as much as you like about degree) just as fucked up as Islam, Hiduism etc.

DON’T all of you start bleating about how wonderful Chritianity/Judaism is because of cultural influence etc. Good and bad things have been done under the name of all religions. And DON’T start bleating on about the rule of law/morality etc – you don’t need fucking religion to have a moral exisitence – humanity has developed a moral existence over the years they have just chosen to dress it up under the guise of religion.

I’m fucking sick of this “my God is better than your God” crap I see subtly cropping up in the comments. Argue all you like (legitimately) about the biased nature of the BBC but shut the fuck up about how wonderful Christianity is.

    FoA
Aren’t you subtly implying that Atheism is the best religion by your put-downs of those with faith?

All atheists (I am one) should remember that large numbers of people cannot cope without their “imaginary friend” and will transfer their need for something bigger than themselves into state worship AKA coerced collectivism. This least moral of religions has killed the most.

Not too sure how this is relevant to the original post (it may not be meant to be). The point is that Christophobia at the BBC means that news that doesn’t suit the PC left worldview (eg supposedly oppressed non-white people behaving exactly as the evil whiteys are alleged to have done through history) gets left unmentioned.

    FOA.

Nice try in trying to hijack the intention of the original blog. I happen to be extremely tolerant of all faiths, and as a Christian I personally can’t stand those who Bible bash, or the born again ra ra types who crap on about fuck knows what.

My point was, that like or hate them, Christians (generally) are probably the only seriously large group (both numerically and in commercial terms) that exist to stand up to Socialism.

    Hence, the BBC’s anti-Christian stance.

Don’t forget also that Christianity is associated in the PC worldview with white people, Europe, the US and Catholicism, therefore it must be bad.

What’s with all this use of the ‘F’ word all of a sudden? Limited vocabularies or a desire to shock??

Okay, I’m shocked already. Can we clean up the language now? I am a maiden lady of a certain age and have delicate sensibilities πŸ˜‰

Ok, FoA, I’m a bit surprised that my post about the Beeb’s silence about a murdered follower of Jesus in Iran seems to have triggered your outburst about abusive religions. This was not a “my religion is better than your religion” post. Actually, I don’t have a high regard for religion, per se, so I would rather have non-religious focus on the one person who arrived on the scene some 2000 years ago who continues to exert a growing worldwide influence, Jesus.
