Cindy Sheehan has reportedly been a bit frustrated of late that press coverage has been trumped by hurricanes. She must be comforted to see that the BBC still considers her newsworthy for managing to get herself arrested in front of the White House. I have yet to see the Beeb take note of her partners in protest or her demonstrably extremist views [quoting Cindy Sheehan]:

Were she backed by neo-Nazis, would the Beeb care so little? Only one or two elected officials have been willing to show their faces with this crowd, but the Beeb doesn’t see the need to inform us of this. Katty Kay can keep us apprised of the latest anti-war developments but let’s keep Mother Sheehan’s coverage warm and fuzzy.

I saw that episode and noticed the appearence of sky news also. I found it amusing. Spooks is, I think contracted to a private production company, so just as the Simpsons pokes fun at Fox, the spooks team might be doing the same. Either that or there is some internal war going on at the beeb, which would not only be enterntaining, but might also results in its destruction- not likely i know- but one can only hope.

“Some of our competitors talked immediately of 90 dead. They talked about three bus bombs. That was off a range of various wire services and it was complete speculation and we wouldn’t go with that. We would be careful – we would try to check things out.”
No But…….They wanted to check things out first!

Strewth, just have a look at the photo of Tax & Waste Brown with that article! Has he risen? Is he the anointed one? I don’t know what it is but I certainly see a halo bathing his head in its warm glow. I’m no tech head and have no idea if it’s been touched up, but I think we have yet another example of the infamous BBC News Photo Editor at work.
I’m sorry, I have to say that photo is hilarious. It’s so contrived, so laughable, I just can’t stop looking at it for another giggle. There are some things you just cannot parody.
