That ‘Golden Age of Islam’

‘Out thought and undereducated.  We have lost the ability to think, to acquire knowledge, to advance intellectually and then we wonder why our community is in such decay.’

‘Islam choked in the vicelike grip of orthodoxy….It was the end of tolerance, intellect, and science in the Muslim world. The last great Muslim thinker, Abd- al Rahman ibn Khaldun, belonged to the 14th century.’

MarkyMark in the comments draws our attention to this in the Guardian which illustrates why the BBC peddles the ‘glorious history’ of Islam in order to persuade us that the realities of Islam within our society today are  not the real Islam…Islam is peaceful religion that embraces human rights, women’s  liberation and forward thinking on many issues from the economy to science and philosophy…in essence Islam, the BBC insinuates, is not a threat to you or your culture and society…..

The scale of hostility in Britain towards Islam and Arabs is revealed in a YouGov survey showing most UK voters believe Arabs have failed to integrate themselves into British society, and their presence has not been beneficial.

The three characteristics most closely associated with the Arab world by British people are gender segregation, wealth and Islam, with extremism and a rich history the next two identified characteristics. The degree of association with innovation or forward thinking is miniscule.

In a survey that also reveals widespread self-confessed ignorance about the Arab world, a total of 63% say they believe Arabs have failed to integrate themselves into western society and live in isolated communities.

Faisal J Abbas, editor in chief of Arab News, said the poll showed on the one hand a shocking lack of knowledge of the Arab world.

“What is concerning is that these opinions are based on very limited knowledge about the region. The Arab world is home to some of the poorest countries in the world.

So we have have a shocking lack of knowledge about the Arab world.  Really?

Even Arabs admit there is a problem with ‘Arab’ countries:

Self-doomed to failure

An unsparing new report by Arab scholars explains why their region lags behind so much of the world

The barrier to better Arab performance is not a lack of resources, concludes the report, but the lamentable shortage of three essentials: freedom, knowledge and womanpower. Not having enough of these amounts to what the authors call the region’s three “deficits”. It is these deficits, they argue, that hold the frustrated Arabs back from reaching their potential—and allow the rest of the world both to despise and to fear a deadly combination of wealth and backwardness.

The most delicate issue of all, again carefully skirted by the authors of the report, is the part that Islam plays in delaying and impeding the Arab world’s advance towards the ever-receding renaissance that its intellectuals crave. One of the report’s signed articles explains Islam’s support for justice, peace, tolerance, equilibrium and all good things besides. But most secularists believe that the pervasive Islamisation of society, which in several Arab countries has largely replaced the frightening militancy of the 1980s and early 1990s, has played a significant part in stifling constructive Arab thought.

[Islam]….discouraging critical thought and innovation and helping to produce a great army of young Arabs, jobless, unskilled and embittered, cut off from changing their own societies by democratic means. Islam at least offers them a little self-respect. With so many paths closed to them, some are now turning their dangerous anger on the western world.

So Islam creates Jihadis not just by virtue of its teachings but because it also destroys the innovative and creative thinking that produces jobs and a civil, employed society…thus we get angry young men who ironically fight to defend the Islam that is the source of their problems.

We are told by the Guardian that…’The emerging picture – fear, ignorance and hostility – underlines the tensions in UK society about attitudes to Islam and the Arab world in the UK’….Well there’s fear and hostility…but based on knowledge not ignorance.  People look around and see what Muslims do and say, they look at the Muslim world and what Islam has done for those countries, they look at countries where Islam has infiltrated and they look at the result…they also look at countries where there is little to no Islam and look at the result…and they choose which one they like…No Islam.

Labour’s [ex] Nasreen Khan askedWhat good have the Jews done?

The Jews, in 70 years, have turned the desert into a highly productive, innovative, forward looking democracy…and that’s just Israel never minds Jews around the world…despite Israel being under attack for all of that time by Muslims who have produced what?  They have oil, but they didn’t find or develop that…the West did…and what do they do with the revenues?  Playboys and funding Islamists in the West….mostly.

The we have this from the Guardian…

The degree of association [of Islam] with innovation or forward thinking is miniscule.

That’s because Islam crushed innovation and forward thinking…don’t take my word for it, take a Muslim’s……

What has Mehdi Hasan got to say?

He states that there are 1.2 billion Muslims in the world….and between them they have a total of 10 Nobel prizes.  The Jews, with a population of 12 million have 150 Nobel prizes.  All 6 Jewish Universities are in the top 20 in a world ranking.  There are no Muslim universities in the top 200.

He goes on to say:

We wonder why we are losing battles, we are not being out fought, we are being out thought.

We are not under armed, we are undereducated.

We have lost the ability to think, to acquire knowledge, to advance intellectually and then we wonder why our community is in such decay.

Pervez Hoodbhoy is professor of nuclear and high-energy physics at Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. This article is based on a speech delivered at the Center for Inquiry International conference in Atlanta, Georgia, 2001.

In the twelfth century Muslim orthodoxy reawakened, spearheaded by the cleric Imam Al-Ghazali. Al-Ghazali championed revelation over reason, predestination over free will. He refuted the possibility of relating cause to effect, teaching that man cannot know or predict what will happen; God alone can. He damned mathematics as against Islam, an intoxicant of the mind that weakened faith.

Islam choked in the vicelike grip of orthodoxy.

It was the end of tolerance, intellect, and science in the Muslim world. The last great Muslim thinker, Abd- al Rahman ibn Khaldun, belonged to the 14th century.

For Muslims, it is time to stop wallowing in self-pity: Muslims are not helpless victims of conspiracies hatched by an all-powerful, malicious West. The fact is that the decline of Islamic greatness took place long before the age of mercantile imperialism. The causes were essentially internal. Therefore Muslims must introspect, and ask what went wrong.

Fascism, Communism, Islamism

Churchill describing the rise of Communism…..

‘In a speech to the House of Commons on November 5, 1919, Winston Churchill said: “…Lenin was sent into Russia … in the same way that you might send a vial containing a culture of typhoid or of cholera to be poured into the water supply of a great city, and it worked with amazing accuracy. No sooner did Lenin arrive than he began beckoning a finger here and a finger there to obscure persons in sheltered retreats in New York, Glasgow, in Berne, and other countries, and he gathered together the leading spirits of a formidable sect, the most formidable sect in the world … With these spirits around him he set to work with demoniacal ability to tear to pieces every institution on which the Russian State depended.”’

Sounds kind of familiar doesn’t it that description of how a violent ideology is spread around an unwitting victim country?

Adding to the post on Tommy Robinson and the great and the good’s refusal to admit what is happening….and indeed to actively work to cover it up telling us there is no problem, in fact, they tell us, the ‘problem’ is actually the solution and should be welcomed and embraced….because they have absolutely no intention of tackling that problem due to its embedded nature and the fact that they created it themselves making it intractable and almost impossible to deal with now without major upheaval on their watch….leaving it to future generations to handle the resultant massive conflict and bloodshed that will almost inevitably be the consequence of today’s lack of backbone and character.

Niall Ferguson in the Sunday Times writes…

We let Lenin rise, millions died.  Now it’s Islamism.

The West failed to stop communism and is repeating the awful blunder.

According to The Black Book of Communism the grand total of victims of communism was between 85 and 100 million.

All communist regimes everywhere, without exception, were merciless in their treatment of “class enemies” and aggressive too, invading country after country during the cold war.

Could more have been done to stop the Bolshevik pandemic that broke out in Russia in 1917?

The problem was that people underestimated Lenin & Co.  They seemed an unruly bunch of intellectuals: writers of pamphlets, makers of speeches.  No contemporary western observer thought for a moment that their crackpot coup would last.

Foreign intervention, incompetent liberals, clueless bankers: that makes three reasons the Bolsheviks weren’t stopped….along with so many fellow travellers….who so shamefully betrayed their country to Stalin and turned a blind eye to communism’s crimes.

Another reason that the communist virus continued to spread for so long was that good men underestimated the Soviet threat and were assailed by doubts about how much should be done to resist it…often lacking the stomach for the fight and succumbing to relativism…perhaps everything was really the fault of the United States.

Have we learnt anything from this history?

Not nearly enough.

What concerns me is the entirely familiar response we see to a different but, to mind, equally dangerous threat…the rise of militant Islam.  Millions of dollars that have found their way from the Gulf to radical mosques and Islamic centres in the West.  Incompetent liberals – the proponents of multiculturalism who brand any opponent of Jihad an “Islamophobe”.  Clueless bankers who fall over themselves to offer “sharia compliant” loans and bonds.  Fellow travellers – the leftists who line up with the Muslim Brotherhood to castigate Israel at every opportunity.  And the faint-hearted – those who were so quick to pull out of Iraq in 2009 that they allowed the rump of al-Qaeda to morph into ISIS.

We are repeating the catastrophic error of the Bolsheviks.  I fear that we shall wake with a start to discover that the Islamists have repeated the Bolshevik achievement, which was to acquire the resources and capability to threaten our existence.

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

Which is why the BBC makes enormous effort to rewrite the past, British Empire bad, Muslim empire…a Golden Age.

And of course it’s not just militant Islam that the BBC supports….that virus ‘Bolshevism’ is on a surge…..Corbyn and his fanatical supporters are riding the wave….the “class enemies” must know what is coming….there’s been plenty of warning….Kuenssberg herself must know…bodyguard and all.  ‘Crackpot’ Corbyn should not be underestimated, nor should what would be the ultimate result of his power grab as his cohorts seek to ensure the revolution is safeguarded ‘for the good of the people’.  Corbyn’s sinister running mate, McDonnell, cheered on the IRA to use bullets and  bombs  to ‘unite Ireland’ and ‘joked’ about kneecapping those who were slow to come round to their way of thinking.  By all means necessary.

Islamo-fascist-socialists unite

The placards held up by furious protesters included the messages 'Corbyn in Tories out' and 'defy Tory rule'

Laugh at the hypocrisy of those who voted for the terrorist supporting Corbyn, the Corbyn who looks the other way when anti-Semitism rears its ugly head in his Party, the man who supports Muslim terrorism and loves Islam….his supporters are outside Downing Street complaining, ala Mishal Husain, about religious horrors of the DUP…

One organiser led chants of ‘racist, sexist, anti-gay, the DUP has got to go’. [‘away’ surely?]

There are even Muslims in amongst the protestors…lol.  DUPophobia?

The Prime Minister sent her Chief Whip to Belfast for talks with the Democratic Unionist Party ahead of the first test of her diminished authority

Curiously the BBC haven’t reported this protest yet nor the large petition that’s up and running…

Over 500,000 people have signed an online petition calling on the Tories not to do a deal with Northern Ireland’s DUP.

The poll hosted by Change.org also calls on Theresa May to resign as Prime Minisiter following the General Election which resulted in a hung parliament.

“Theresa May should resign. This is a disgusting, desperate attempt to stay in power,” the petition reads.

I’m sure the person who created the petition would be quite happy for Corbyn, who got less votes than May, to form a government in coalition with say the SNP in a ‘disgusting attempt to take power’ no doubt’?

The Guardian is reporting the protest and suggests that we should forget the religion[written by an academic not a Guardianista journo]…the DUP won’t foist Protestantism upon us…hmmm…we’re essentially a Protestant country if ‘lite’….

The ultra-conservative DUP will strike a hard bargain with Theresa May’s Conservatives but won’t foist militant Protestantism on Westminster

Funny how religion is seen as an issue at all here when ‘conservative’ Muslims can take senior positions in Labour and Corbyn happily sides with Muslim terrorists and it’s not an issue…or it’s an issue we are definitely not allowed to talk about…as Boris found out when Mishal Husain told him to shut up.

The BBC are reporting approvingly anti-DUP comments from others….quite extraordinary hypocrisy from people who would never say these things about Muslims…Jon Snow and the deputy editor of the Guardian Paul Johnson….

Jon Snow tweet:

Paul Johnson tweet:

And the BBC continues its attack in a way it never did with Corbyn…just amazing how the gloves come off when it is someone the BBC hates…and they’ve always hated Unionist groups in NI whilst loving the IRA…The BBC lists the sins of the DUP in a way it never would with the MCB or any Muslim political group….

The DUP website crashed on Friday morning after a surge of interest, and DUP was also one of the most searched terms on Google.

Basically, they are pro-union (not Europe but UK), pro-Brexit and socially conservative.

The party, which returned 10 MPs to Westminster, has garnered a bit of a reputation for its strong and controversial views.

It opposes same-sex marriage and is anti-abortion – abortion remains illegal in Northern Ireland, except in specific medical cases.

Then there’s the party’s historical links to loyalist paramilitaries.

DUP East Antrim MP Sammy Wilson, a devout climate change denier, was once Northern Ireland’s environment minister. [What the hell is a ‘devout climate change denier’?…note the use of ‘denier’ as well]

The DUP was a wholehearted supporter of Brexit and got heavily involved in the Leave campaign.

Pax-man Islamicus

A few days ago I asked ‘Who was right? Who is the real ‘enemy of the State’?’  Was it Tommy Robinson or Lord Hall and his pro-Islam propaganda machine in light of the attack in Manchester and the BBC’s belated ‘exposure’ of the rapes and abuse in Rochdale?  The BBC film about Rochdale was a shameless attempt to rewrite history and to pretend that the BBC had been at the forefront of exposing such abuse when the truth is that it was one of the guilty organisations that knew what was going on and refused to bring it into the open because of the race and religion of the abusers.  How many girls became victims because BBC journalists stood silent and turned their eyes away?  And now they seek credit and applause for their ‘brave’ examination of the issues.

David Sedgwick [H/T DaveS in the comments] gives the lie to that BBC narrative showing that it contemptuously dismissed Tommy Robinson’s claims about Muslim grooming gangs….

Shooting the Messenger: The BBC’s ‘Asian’ Grooming Gangs

It wasn’t that long ago – five years – when in his role as anchor for BBC2’s Newsnight programme, Jeremy Paxman became very sniffy with a certain studio guest named Tommy Robinson. “You are seriously suggesting that young white girls are being sexually exploited by what you say are gangs of Muslim men? Is that what you are suggesting? Seriously?”

“Yes,” replied his guest, to which Paxman looked aghast. How could this racist, xenophobe suggest such rot? Sexual grooming of under-age white girls? How utterly absurd. The BBC weren’t having any of that. Had Robinson cared to cast his hostile gaze on the streets of Notting Hill he would have seen a thriving ‘multi-cultural’ paradise, where every creed and colour came together to produce a ‘vibrant’ Liberal fantasy land. Grooming? What grooming?

And here it is, the real BBC way of dealing with the issue of Muslim grooming gangs…shoot the messenger….and note this interview was in 2011 and Paxman opens with stating that ‘Tommy Robinson’ is a pseudonym and his actual name is Stephen Lennon…so why did Andrew Neil make such a fuss claiming that Tommy Robinson was hiding his real name for nefarious reasons in 2013 as Neil quizzed Robinson with questions provided by the Islamist Mehdi Hasan?

Neil, in a breath taking example of investigative journalism goes on to ‘reveal’ Robinson’s real name…or that of his long lost father, telling him…

‘We did find your birth certificate….you changed your name because it concealed for some time your BNP past….you were hiding your BNP membership.’

As David Sedgwick says:

If Tommy Robinson or any of the several thousand young girls who have been (and continue to be) victims of this abuse are waiting for an apology from the national broadcaster, they’d be advised not to hold their breaths.

Islam is the problem…said Boris Johnson

Boris told us that terrorism in the UK was due to Islam…he said this in the same article that Corbyn’s fans use to defend Corbyn’s policy of outsourcing Britain’s foreign policy to Al Qaeda or its branch office IS…naturally that part of the article does not get quoted.

Corbyn and his supporters, the BBC as well, claim the Iraq War was the catalyst for British Muslims to become radicalised and that we should therefore alter our foreign policy to suit these terrorists…they use the words of ex-MI5 chief, Eliza Manningham-Buller, to back them up as she made the assessment that the Iraq War did give British Muslims a pretext to attack Britain.  What the likes of Corbyn don’t say is that that pretex was based upon an entirely false narrative…that the West was  attacking Islam completey ignoring the reality that Saddam was a secular dictator that nearly all Iraqis wanted removed. [and most Iraqis hate the foreign Jihadis who have invaded their country…they like Sykes-Picot thanks very much] They also conveniently forget to mention that Manningham-Buller made no judgement on the rights and wrongs of going to war, merely warning government of a potential threat….a threat which she said did not mean we should change our behaviour….something Corbyn ignores as he seeks to do just that…..

You could say that even if terrorism increases, that shouldn’t stop you doing what you believe, as the government believed, to be right.

She also stated that even if we had not gone to war it is likely we would have been targeted anyway as looking on ‘favourably’ at a US invasion of Iraq…

I think even if we had supported the United States in sentiment but not militarily, we would still have been seen as supporters so it probably wouldn’t have altered it.

She states the obvious about the root cause…Islam…and the narrative of Muslims under attack…and of course that it pre-dated not just 2003 but 9/11 as well….back to the 1990’s….

A few among a generation who saw our involvement in Iraq, on top of our involvement in Afghanistan, as being an attack on Islam.   An increasing number of  British-born individuals living and brought up in this  country, some of them third generation, who were attracted to the ideology of Osama bin Laden and saw the west’s activities in Iraq and Afghanistan as threatening their fellow religionists and the Muslim world.

It is part of what we call the single narrative, which is the view of some that everything the west was doing was part of a fundamental hostility to the Muslim world and to Islam, of which manifestations were Iraq and Afghanistan, but which pre-dated those because it pre-dated 9/11, but it was enhanced by those events.

It is important to say that threat from Al-Qaeda did not begin at 9/11.  My Service was already engaged in concern about the threat posed by Al-Qaeda from the late — mid- to late 1990s; after all the fatwa by Fawwaz from Osama bin Laden was issued in London in 1996.  We had various operations at that time, some of which had connections to Afghanistan, and well before 9/11 we were anxious and worried and doing investigations.   We were far from relaxed about the threat from Al Qaeda, which again, if I can refer to that open document, said back in 2001 the UK was a target.  There was increasing information around the world of that.

Now of course the narrative is that the Iraq War caused terrorism in the UK…but again that’s not true….in 2000 British Muslims were arrested and jailed for a plot…and plenty of Muslims were being ‘radicalised’ in the UK pre-2003….Siddiq Khan of 7/7 infamy was radicalised before the war.

We had had a operation to which David Omand referred in his evidence, which was a case in Birmingham in 2000,   where we retrieved and prevented the detonation of a large bomb.  David Omand said he thought that was  related to Al-Qaeda.  That was the case at the time I thought I retired.  We now think, I gather from my colleagues, it probably wasn’t.  But those were British citizens of Bangladeshi origin planning an attack.

Certainly the Iraq War was used by Al Qaeda as propaganda, helping them create a narrative of Islam under attack, but that is a narrative that should be easy to dispel.  However it was one adopted enthusiastically by many, including the BBC, who added fuel to the fire by claiming we went to war on a lie.

The BBC has run an anti-Iraq War campaign from the start, it was John Humphrys and Andrew Gilligan on the Today show that really gave an impetus to the terrorist narrative though as they falsely declared that Tony Blair had lied in the Iraq Dossier and thus Humphrys and Co gave the terrorists a pretext to attack us.

The BBC has maintained that attack after being brought to heel, Greg Dykes removed from office and the Gilligan/Humphrys story shown to be false, fake news, very dangerous fake news.  The BBC has never forgiven this chastisement and has spent the last decade rewriting history so that now you will hear BBC presenters telling us that ‘Blair lied’ without any thought that they are themselves lying.

We had Marr yesterday adding Libya into the mix blaming Cameron for the terrorist attack in Manchester and going  on to attack May for having the nerve to criticise Corbyn’s speech on foreign policy…a narrative Marr himself supports as his words on Libya show.

‘And of course it has to be said Libya collapsed into a failed state on David Cameron’s watch.  It was our intervention there that knocked out the Gaddafi regime and unfortunately left a failed state.’

[on May’s criticism of Corbyn]

‘It’s very difficult to accuse someone in the middle of an election after Manchester of supporting terrorism…it’s a matter of good taste, what’s appropriate and reasonable to say is hard for people to get right.’

Eliza Manningham-Buller gives us a more rounded picture...the threat eminates from around the world due to a huge number of ’causes’….no matter what you do or don’t do they will find an excuse, a ‘pretext’, to blame and attack you…

There has been much speculation about what motivates young men and women to carry out acts of terrorism in the UK. My Service needs to understand the motivations behind terrorism to succeed in countering it, as far as that is possible. Al-Qaida has developed an ideology which claims that Islam is under attack, and needs to be defended.

This is a powerful narrative that weaves together conflicts from across the globe, presenting the West’s response to varied and complex issues, from long-standing disputes such as Israel/Palestine and Kashmir to more recent events as evidence of an across-the-board determination to undermine and humiliate Islam worldwide. Afghanistan, the Balkans, Chechnya, Iraq, Israel/Palestine, Kashmir and Lebanon are regularly cited by those who advocate terrorist violence as illustrating what they allege is Western hostility to Islam.

The video wills of British suicide bombers make it clear that they are motivated by perceived worldwide and long-standing injustices against Muslims; an extreme and minority interpretation of Islam promoted by some preachers and people of influence; and their interpretation as anti-Muslim of UK foreign policy, in particular the UK’s involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Then we have the other defence of Corbynthe fine words of Boris Johnson in the Spectator in 2005….what those who quote him do not do, for obvious reasons when you see his article complete, is to provide a link to that article so that you can judge his words in the round, something that would give a completely different picture of what he intended to say….from the Guardian’s report….

Yes he said:

“Isn’t it possible that things like the Iraq war did not create the problem of murderous Islamic fundamentalists, though the war has unquestionably sharpened the resentments felt by such people in this country and given them a new pretext?”

And:

‘the Iraq war did not introduce the poison into our bloodstream but, yes, the war did help to potentiate that poison. It is difficult to deny that they have a point, the ‘told-you-so’ brigade.”

But note how, in this case C4’s Krishnan Guru-Murthy, dodges the two big stand-out points in the first quote….that the Iraq War did not create the problem of murderous Islamic fundamentalists and that the Iraq war merely gave those who wanted to attack Britain a ‘pretext’..that’s a pretext, not a credible, authentic, rational, informed reason.  Yes the war may have stirred up the anger, but was it reasonable or rational anger?  No says Boris, not ‘noticed’ conveniently by those who partially quote him….

To the paranoid Muslim mind, the evident bogusness of the ‘war on terror’ — in so far as it applied to Iraq — suggested that the war was really about something else: about oil, about humiliating and dominating the Islamic world; and because they make no separation between religion and politics, the bogus ‘war on terror’ seemed to imply an undeclared war on Islam.

The ‘paranoid Muslim mind’?  Hardly gives the impression that Boris thinks they are making rational, informed decisions…more that they are the subject of hardcore anti-western propaganda…a lot coming from the left-wing media itself…such as the BBC.

That second quote misses out the first part of the paragraph which indicates Boris has his doubts about the theory..

In groping to understand, the pundits and the politicians have clutched first at Iraq, and the idea that this is ‘blowback’, the inevitable punishment for Britain’s part in the Pentagon’s fiasco. George Galloway began it in Parliament; he was followed by Sir Max Hastings, with the Lib Dems limping in the rear. It is difficult to deny that they have a point, the Told-You-So brigade.

‘Difficult to deny’ but possible in truth.

And why miss this out?:

Supporters of the war have retorted that Iraq cannot be said to be a whole and sufficient explanation for the existence of suicidal Islamic cells in the West, and they, too, have a point. The threat from Islamicist nutters preceded 9/11; they bombed the Paris Métro in the 1990s; and it is evident that the threat to British lives pre-dates the Iraq war, when you think that roughly the same number of Britons died in the World Trade Center as died in last week’s bombings.

What do these folks want? Do they really want British troops out of Iraq, when most people I met in Baghdad secretly or openly want them to stay and help fight the insurgency?  There are plenty of people in Iraq who think Britain did a wonderful thing in helping to get rid of Saddam Hussein, and it is still too early to reach a final verdict on the success of the Iraq war.

There’s absolutely no doubt why they miss the last bit out…it says the real problem is Islam and the Muslim community’s ghettoisation….

We have a serious and long-term security problem, not in Iraq but in this country, among young men who speak with Yorkshire accents. This is a cultural calamity that will take decades to correct.

We — non-Muslims — cannot solve the problem; we cannot brainwash them out of their fundamentalist beliefs. The Islamicists last week horribly and irrefutably asserted the supreme importance of that faith, overriding all worldly considerations, and it will take a huge effort of courage and skill to win round the many thousands of British Muslims who are in a similar state of alienation, and to make them see that their faith must be compatible with British values and with loyalty to Britain. That means disposing of the first taboo, and accepting that the problem is Islam. Islam is the problem.

To any non-Muslim reader of the Koran, Islamophobia — fear of Islam — seems a natural reaction, and, indeed, exactly what that text is intended to provoke. Judged purely on its scripture — to say nothing of what is preached in the mosques — it is the most viciously sectarian of all religions in its heartlessness towards unbelievers. As the killer of Theo Van Gogh told his victim’s mother this week in a Dutch courtroom, he could not care for her, could not sympathise, because she was not a Muslim.

The trouble with this disgusting arrogance and condescension is that it is widely supported in Koranic texts, and we look in vain for the enlightened Islamic teachers and preachers who will begin the process of reform. What is going on in these mosques and madrasas? When is someone going to get 18th century on Islam’s mediaeval ass?

SANITISING ISLAM….

Get this.

Three white men were killed and another wounded when a black gunman opened fire in Fresno, California, in a suspected race attack, police have said. Kori Ali Muhammad shot 16 rounds in 90 seconds in the shooting spree on Tuesday, said Police Chief Jerry Dyer. He shouted “God is greatest” in Arabic when arrested but this was a hate crime not terrorism, Mr Dyer believed.

“God is greatest”???? — the BBC choose avoid saying what he ACTUALLY said..”Allahu Akbar” Sickening sanitisation. He was a Muslim killer.

Is the so-called “alt right” on the rise in Europe?

The disparate movement is normally associated with the US and is accused of racism, anti-Semitism and misogyny.

BBC Newsnight‘s Gabriel Gatehouse reports from Austria and France.

NOTHING TO DO WITH ISLAM….

I suppose this item on the BBC was inevitable. From the TODAY schedule earlier..

“The right wing German party Alternatif fur Deutschland says the German Chancellor Angela Merkel is responsible for bringing terror to Germany through her open door refugee policy. But most other German politicians have stopped short of linking the recent attacks to the Middle East. Dr Peter Ammon is the German Ambassador to the UK.”

It’s really amazing to watch the European political establishment and the media, including the BBC of course, deny reality. We see the German Police twist in the wind as they think up all kinds of ludicrous excuses to cover the simple fact that Merkel’s Open Borders policy has been a catastrophic disaster that may engulf Germany into Germanistan.

Owen Jones….The Islamists’ useful idiot

Owen Jones has stormed out of a Sky interview claiming that the Sky presenter, Mark Longhurst, wasn’t interested in the killings in Orlando as ‘homophobic hate crimes’ and that because Longhurst isn’t gay he can’t possibly understand what went on.   Watch the interview and you’ll see that it is Jones who doesn’t understand what is being said…and ironically storms out as the Telegraph headline of an IS ‘war on gays’ is being discussed and Stonewall being quoted….Jones edits that truth out of his video clip in the Guardian where he tries to pillory Longhurst.

The point Longhurst was making was that this wasn’t an attack aimed solely at gay people…this was an attack on the West, the liberal, progressive West that has gone so far down the road to accepting ‘Gay’ as normal.  This is just part of the whole IS campaign against the West and non-Muslims who want a secular, democratic society in which people are as free as possible to say, think and do what they like….it was not just an attack on gay people.

Sky got the narrative right, we should be asking what are the overall aims of the Islamic State and what is their motivation?

Owen Jones and the BBC look on this as purely an issue of hatred against gays…the BBC’s latest report also looks at it purely from this perspective and ignores the Islamic State, the Islam issue almost completely….only the last sentence gives the lie to what the BBC presented to us in the rest of the report…and makes the point Sky was making……

“Isis and extremist ideology hate all of us,” he says. “It’s really an attack on all of us. It’s an attack on the way we live – our openness.”

Jones is of course a Marxist in league with the very people who have the ideology that drives the Islamic State…he agreed to appear on the Islamist Mend organisation’s tour and talk alongside a man well known for making homophobic speeches…..the Left never learn….In Iran they joined up with the Islamists to overthrow the Shah and ended up as the useful idiots that opened the door for gays to be killed for the crime of being gay in Iran…maybe Jones should think more carefully about what ideology he teams up with.

From Harry’s Place…...Not only does this Muslim express his hatred of gays he explains why the West is so dissolute…..it allows gays to exist….Jones should wake up instead of sharing platforms with such people…..

In our own time – I remember as a kid in the 80s, which gives you an idea of how old I was  – growing up in the 80s … I remember how homosexuals were looked down upon, and the names that were give to these people, and how disgusted the average masses were with that segment of society.

Now look! Now look at how we have regressed – not progressed. Where it is impossible, forget a Muslim, even a Christian or a Jew, can not stand up in public in front of a non-Muslim audience, and speak against homosexuality. He is a homophobe! He is an evil person! How dare he preaches hatred against this group of people!

Jones ends his Guardian self-justification with this…

Today, the “we only care about LGBT rights if Muslims are involved” brigade are out in force. As a gay man, I am proud to live in a city represented by a Muslim mayor who has faced death threats for supporting and voting for LGBT people to have the same rights as everybody else. The bigots must not be allowed to hijack this atrocity.

That’ll be Sadiq Khan who called moderate Muslims who wanted to cooperate with the government in the fight against terrorism ‘Uncle Toms’.

Jones, deluded as always.
